I got my kits and my Story Planner items today. I ordered the Story Planner inks and the Fall release inks. I thought they were each 5 inks from each of the 2 large size releases. Nope. 3 of the colors are in both sets. I didn't compare them closely so it's my fault, but learn from me and read before ordering. Why put the same inks in different bundles that you can buy at the same time? Black wasn't in either. BSideCrafter that is so weird! I didn't look closely either and had been thinking about purchasing the fall set and then saw that there was a new set, so I auto assumed they would be different, since that's what other companies do. What a bummer! I didn't buy either. It would be my first purchase of Inked, inks, and to date I have avoided them due to folks saying quality wasn't great, well for Color Theory, anyway. I may eventually buy the fall set, because I love fall. I hope at least they are colors you will use a lot and having 2 might be good in the long run? I've had to replace some of my little Versa Color cubes as they had been used up. At least you know these inks will go with the kits......I'm always personally pleased not to have black in a set because I already have lots of different black inks and I do not need another one! No matter who makes it. Color theory inks were awful. I typically tested them when they came in a kit and then tossed them in the trash. I got first Ali mini ink with the DITL kit last year and I love it. It was Black Butte and I use that a lot. Duchess (navy) and St. Helens (a light grey) I'm sure I'll use a lot so having two of those aren't bad, but Tillamook (orange) not so sure.

I really do like Ali’s pigment inks. I have all the colors and some of them are a little too juicy, but you just gotta pounce lightly.
I like the Color Theory dye inks, but I am not a fan of the pigment inks.

The whole "ink the stamp" don't "stamp the ink" is a must with her inks... especially if it is a small/detailed stamp. You can completely flood the stamp with ink in one push IME.

I received Jan, Feb, and March. I forgot I got on the waitlist. Guess I need to revisit this commitment to project life style I was thinking about a few months ago and promptly forgot 😂 😂 What do you think? Glad you took the dive? The stamp set are a little meh but overall I have been pleased with the kits. The March stamp that says “bloom and grow” looks like “floom and grow” to me. That caught my eye first and I dumped them on the table and haven’t been back to look. Yeah, that project is moving along nicely. 😂

The March kit for SBTM IS SO GOOD
That rainy day story stamp makes me feel so much better about the fact that I’m about to go on a mini vacation that has scheduled rain for the week!

I really hate this release. I’m just not one that would need or want to organize my ideas like this. This makes my ideas cost me money. I have a paper pad and a pen. That’s really all I need! I’m always open to the idea of buying a cute new binder but I just don’t understand the size of this one either. None of these items make sense to me and I watched her video. I just kept thinking, why would anyone buy all of these things when I can just write my ideas down in my notebook?? For those that bought, I hope this system sticks around so you can use for a long time. It’s just not for me. Whew! I thought I was the only one going "Um.....Notebook?" Not dissing anyone who likes the idea - but man, between Becky's magic notebook and now this planning-for-crafting complexity, I'm starting to think people who make money in crafting really do over-complicate and over-hype the simplest things. You stated this so much better than I did!

So sad I’m still on the waitlist and will likely miss the March kit. The stamp is awesome. Hoping I can find a kit for sale.

FYI : For anyone who may be on the fence or would like a close up of Ali's new story planner/pads/stickers etc, Amy Gretchen has a great up-close look at everything she bought from Ali in her Instastory right now. It still doesn't change my mind but I thought I would share anyway. www.instagram.com/amygretchenstudio/

I bought some stuff at Target today, kind of like the stuff posted earlier. Next to the album posted they had some pretty ones, so I got one of those for 3.99. I also got some college lined notebook paper that fits inside for 3.99 and some pocket dividers 5 for 3.99. So for the cost of one set of overpriced transperiences I got a binder, paper and 5 pocket dividers.
if I was clever enough to post pics I would. I used to know how to do it from Instagram, but I forgot what I’d did.

So I gave in and bought the digital kit for the story planner. When I opened the file to print, the file isn't exactly the same as the paper pad. The black bars across the top are different sizes. The one on the top is thicker than the bottom. Does anyone else have this issue?

Just from looking at it just now online, it appears the top black bar is thicker. Not sure why though.....the printed one appears to have both black bars the same size. I would think the digital is what was sent to be printed but maybe not. I do wish they'd spend money testing their products and process.

Literally two seconds of work to make sure the product was right. But then again, that would cut into yoga time...

Honestly, every release - Hire some pt college kid to run through every item and check it against spec and put it in a cart all the way through to checkout (coupon codes, etc.). It would take less than a day. I do it for my web site all the time. But I guess if you can still make bank w/o it (and w/kind, patient customers who do the work for you), why spend even a day's pay on it?

It’s so bad I bet they don’t even have a quality control department.

A lot of digi sb shops have someone on their team (or multiple someones) to QA the products - typically they are paid in free access to all the product they QA. I’m sure there are plenty of AE fans that would jump at that deal, and that’s a super low rate to pay for the work.

Seriously, these things happen every month. It is fixable. But that would involve best practices, QA, and process review.
Unfortunately, none of those things are Insta-grammable.

AE SALE 30% off digitals for three days, price as marked I stocked up on some items I've been wanting for a while. I'm a paper PL scrapbooker, but I like to be able to print out as many journaling cards as I want...and adding lines to those that do not have them. Also, I've been getting into putting text/words on photos lately. Using digital products is something I never thought I would do but I am really enjoying it.

Assuming you're posting from your computer and not your phone, the easiest way is to right click the image and select "copy image address." With Instagram it's a little more complicated because you need to click the time the photo was posted (below the comments) to get to the actual individual page of that specific photo. Then just select "insert photo" and put in the URL of the photo.

@skellinton I did the same thing! This striped foiled mini binder, cream lined paper and pockets at Target. I looked at the AE Digitals and the structure just doesn't fit my way of organizing stories and projects. But I love finally having all those notes and things in one place. The pocket dividers come in hand for storing bits and pieces. I might pick up some graph paper for making card sketches too.

Anybody going to do DITL with her? I've been considering another WITL instead, but haven't picked a date to start...

Anybody going to do DITL with her? I've been considering another WITL instead, but haven't picked a date to start... Probably not. It typically takes a great kit to get me inspired to do DITL because I have so many other scrappy things to get done. The kit this time sucked, so I am not bothering. Shallow of me? Yep. I can own it. But if I am not excited about the products I know I won't finish.
