Do you think it was really "the team," or could it be Inked? I'd be less angry if it were Inked. Either way it's in bad taste. Just don't do any more free downloads. It's weird to say something about it. And I'm not mad at Lisa for this. She is awesome. The team saying not to is what's messed up.

Ali stated in one of the questions on the latest blog post that she is back designing the SBTM kits for 2025. This is promising. I really like the first three themes for the quarterly kit but tired of the High/Low theme. Do we think you’re locked in for the year with these?

A couple people asked in the blog comments if the SBTM kit was changing at all for 2025, and she essentially said only changes to the die they use. Hmpf. I was waiting for this year to end and hopeful that next year's would have a more useful mix of products. But same, same it seems. IMHO, vellum is hard to use in pocket pages, and there is a lot of it. But what I really dislike is the amount of items saying the month name. I GET IT; WE ARE IN NOVEMBER! I guess I'll sit out another year.

I know this is petty, but who came up with the marketing names "stamps are fun" and "alphas are awesome"? 🙄
ETA : The new kits ("scrapbooking kits For the Win"?) look interesting, but the first theme (at least) was already made into a Story Kit. I'm afraid it'll be just a regular Story Kit with 12x12 papers and bigger embellies now. We'll see.

IMHO, vellum is hard to use in pocket pages, and there is a lot of it. I use the vellum just like everything else. If I don't have something to layer it with, I just put white cardstock behind it (or the back of the photo in the pocket). I've had a hard time with the sentiments. I just don't use them. I don't like that if there is a quote on a 4X6 card it is also on something else. I'm not going to use the same quote twice. Sometimes I don't like them at all. There is also a LOT of stuff about hard days. I'll document a crap day once in a blue moon but mostly I want to document the good stuff that I want to remember. I'm so over project life. Glad to be done with it. I'll get the December kit because I usually try to grab them on sale to use in DD. I started my sub in Feb. so I hope I don't have to buy a random month in 2025 to fulfill a commitment. I am going to be doing a senior year album for my kid but that won't start until June. I don't think I'll need anything from the Jan. kit. We'll see when I go to cancel what they say.

I had to pay half of the remaining months as a balance. I was totally fine with that instead of receiving several more months of a kit I had stopped caring for. My guess is that you'll have a similar offer from CS if you haven't fulfilled 12 paid months of your kit sub.

I really like the first three themes for the quarterly kit but tired of the High/Low theme. Do we think you’re locked in for the year with these? I think this may be why they asked Lisa not to provide more digitals. I think designing was stressful for her, and although I liked most of what was included in the kits, I'm not using a lot of the pieces like I thought I would. I think Lisa is a great photographer and she journals quite a bit, but she doesn't seem to find much joy in embellishing. I think she's also a perfectionist. I'm cancelling my STBM for next year no matter who is designing because I want to use what I have. I may pick up a digital here and there. I need to remember to cancel my story kit so I'm not automatically purchasing the quarterly kits! Also cancelling my Cocoa Daisy sub, so I'll be sub-less in 2025!

PSA: Don't forget to skip the November SBTM kit if you are doing DD and have enough stuff.

Well based on the email I received from Ali, the story and stamp kits are being retired. They are being replaced with a quarterly kit.

I am excited Ali's stamps are changing from 4x6 to 6x8. I hope her handwriting is minimal & the alpha stamps are a couple of times per year. I use my Heidi Swapp stamps a lot and I have found her imagery and sentiments extremely versatile.

Are the stories by the month kits going to be retired too? I saw the other kits being retired but I don't remember seeing an announcement about the stories by the month kits.

So I did a dumb thing. I bought 2 of AE 12x12 albums but wasn’t thinking about the holes lining up with other page protectors. Anyone know where to buy 12x12 page protectors with 4 holes, instead of 3?

Anyone know where to buy 12x12 page protectors with 4 holes, instead of 3? I have been using scrapbook.com 3-hole 9X12 page protectors in my AE albums. I just line them up and punch two extra holes (ignore the one in the middle). It's not something I notice when I'm flipping through the books. If your punch has a hard time with the plastic, layer a piece of cardstock in there and it will help it.

I’ll try your cs trick!

Did the email show pictures of the new storyteller kit or whatever so people can see what’s in the new kit? It’s weird I didn’t get it as I sub to both story kit and SBTM.

I'm a subber, but I didn't get that email with the email address I use most often. I got it sent to my "backup" email address, one I rarely use. There was very little information in it--stuff we already know about the story kits going away and a new storyteller kit to take its place.

No photos, just Ali's handwriting reading "A new chapter is coming / subscriptions '25". The email announced the new Storyteller Kit (quarterly) and the Stamps Are Fun kit. There was, however, a link to sign up for news about the Storyteller Kit. You can sign up here.

Thanks for pointing it out, mom. Just had a look. And I really don't care for the sneaks. Like, at all. The pink and red geometric print is nice but oof, the rest is just not my vibe (anymore?).
