Just wanted to say thank you katiejaeger for all that you’ve taken from this thread to try to please the masses. I understand how difficult it must be to be her friend/employee and be here at the same time. Sometimes we are brutally honest.

Absolutely. I think we are greatful that Katie stuck around so long and was able to see through a lot of the negative until now.

We are paying customers and we get real here. I think we all can agree that we love all, or parts, of the AE brand and it’s offerings. It’s why we ultimately get so passionate.

Scrapbookers are passionate people and there’s so many of us here. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Long live stories and putting our hearts into this hobby.

I think they are great, but I agree.  Mine are sitting untouched so far, but that's because I'm trying to catch up on my PL albums.  I took both this years and the 2nd half of last years with me on my trip, but even though I felt like I got a lot done (by my standards) I got nowhere near starting this year.  Being that they ARE so themed (which is part of what I really like about them) it makes it difficult to use them in other months.  So while I love that aspect of them, they will sit until I am working on more current stuff...especially so when you consider you get the following month's theme instead of the one just wrapping up.  I'm a-ok with that, though.

So...thoughts on Type? I like the kit (though to me it doesn't have huge theme presence) but the stamp does nothing for me. I don't care for the chunky/mixed font at all. To me it looks dated. I could have left it and if it sells out and someone wants it, I'd be fine with selling it.

I threw the Cascade Alphas in my box with my SBTM kit mainly because of the numbers. It seems like a lot of alphas don't come with the numbers anymore. 

My brain has a hard time dealing with words that are made of multiple fonts so I'm definitely not liking the stamp set--I do like the "okay" & "ah yeah" (and probably most of the smaller font phrases), but not the mixed-font words.

I would love the story kit more if the alphas had more than one letter--same with the add-ons because I love the blue one, but think the price is too high, before you even account for the fact that there is only one of each letter (at least double the vowels...please!!!)

I really like the kit. I'm not a huge fan of alphabets with only 1 letter, but it's fun that there are 2. The stamp set is a surprise and is really versatile.

The stamp kit isn't my favorite. I don't like how the fonts were mixed and prob won't use most of those or will cut them and use the letters to do something else with.

Happy the SBTM kit isn't all Mother's Day. I don't have a reason to celebrate that day so at least of the kit is usable and I can use the back of the cards since they're blank.

I like the TYPE kit, but I am not sure how easy it will be to use. I might have to depend on the design team for this one. I kind of like the stamp, maybe it is because I purchased so many stamps in the past that kind of look like it. I don't get the stamp and would probably never use it so I will stick with my type kit and my SBTM kit.

Also thank you, katiejaeger for all your help. It does get a little salty around here so I will email you if any issues arise

I love the colours of SBTM but I’m more than a little disappointed by the kit. Way too heavy on mum/mom/mother’s day for one day of the year that not everyone celebrates.

I like the Story Kit enough - I would buy it off someone if I found it (without the stamp...I don't like the stamp included). But otherwise, I could use It. I'd give it a B.

First of all, thanks for everything you've done for us, katiejaeger . We are a feisty bunch and I understand it may get hard not to take it personally when you know the person whose brand we are discussing. It is clear we all truly want Ali to succeed and have been very vocal when we've felt things were meh. However, I think nobody would disagree with me for saying you are truly an amazing asset for AE and kind person. Some of us have exchanged both in public and in private about you and it has only ever been 100% positive. The door is always open for you here.
PS: we're a bit of a loud bunch with a funky sense of humour.

The Type kit is a bit of a let-down for me but I was expecting that. I'm happy I held off trying to get on the Story Kit waiting list. Neither the fonts or the slightly all-over-the-placeness of how the theme was explored appeal to me. But I'm glad to see other documenters liking it!

The SBtM add-on is indeed last year's summer die cut pack. I wonder how many they'll sell with a sub that's literally cheaper than the add-on?

PS: I'm going to have so many left-over cards I can do nothing with next month with Father's Day being so prominent in the June SBtM kit. Yikes. That's going to be one awkward moment with my kit. Maybe I should tell the story of how he up and left his wife and toddler one day, pretending to go buy some groceries, and never came back?
