I wish I had gotten the alphas now that everyone got them for free. I strongly considered it but white is the hardest color for me to use. Now...if it were the black, the red or the navy...I would have picked up several sets!
With several colors on sale, she should just allow any of them be bundled. They add like what, .002 ounces to the package?

I never track my package but out of curiosity decided to see where it is. I received my invoice email 4/14, never received a shipping email. My SBTM envelope left inked 4/17, sat in TN all day 4/18, went to KC 4/19, left KC for Omaha 4/20. It will be touring the Omaha post office facilities thru Mon and expected delivery is Tue 4/24.
ETA: delivered today 4/21

Mine left on the 17th, it says it will be delivered on the 24th, west coaster. I never check my tracking, but I did today, man there is a lot of steps! When I was subbed to SC it never said anything after it left Kentucky until it arrived in my city. There are about 8 steps so far and it isnt even in my state yet. This is my favorite step on the list “Package departed UPS Mail Innovations facility enroute to USPS for induction”. Sounds so important!

Mine is slowly working its way from Kentucky to the FL Panhandle. I wonder what factors into the decision to mail via USPS or UPS mail innovations? I only ordered the SBTM kit, but regret not adding the "free" alphabets.

SOTM: I have slight regret signing up for this kit. While the kit is a good value with the chipboard and stamp set. The cards haven't been as easy to use as I thought. At least they're single sided cards and a good weight that I can use the back for other projects. I prob will cancel at the end of the year. I subscribed because I wanted to add a project life element to my Scrapbooking. I’ve only completed January and I am wrapping up February tomorrow. It’s working in the sense that I am loving the monthly thing and documenting the little moments that aren’t “big enough” to scrap traditionally. It’s not working in the sense I am covering up a lot of the cards and repurposing them. I will cancel after this year. If I want to continue this addition to my memory keeping, I’ll use my own stuff.

Catching up on PL 2018 at the moment and I've come to realise I like SbtM but not enough to sub another year. I find myself trying to diffuse the kits (and barely using January which was full of bright primary colours). I don't document enough photos in PL to use up even half the cards so that the kits are diffused enough they blend in with my other products. So, each SbtM kit ends up being broken down into approx. 1/4 to 1/3 of the cards + chipboards getting used, the rest being put into a small box for next year. For this reason, I wouldn't sign up for another round (despite it being one of the best deals on the PL market today and I stand by that sentiment). Looking forward to the next few months of SbtM though as they are some of my favourites from the 2017 digi kits. Has Ali released any new card sets in the shop this year? Her summer + Thanksgiving sets from last year were actually really nice and I'd probably buy a new summer set if it came to the shop. Does the SbtM sub mean she won't be adding seasonal card sets to the shop anymore?

Like you two, I have mixed feelings about the SbtM. I'm not sure I'll keep my sub next year. Then again, it's such a good value that I don't know if I will cancel either.

I hesitated signing up at the beginning because they are themed and I like more neutral stuff. Then the whole thing sold out and FOMO I signed up on the waitlist. Certain months l like better than others. It’s a great deal though so I don’t think I’d ever cancel.

I like the SOTM kit, but agree with what a lot of you have already said. I like the stamps and embellishments best, but I am finding the cards super difficult to use. I wish they had some sort of color coordinated pattern on the back. No quotes, no words, just something that matched the kit color wise.

I'm enjoying the SBTM kits. Some of the cards I've struggled to use, but I've been able to make it work. For those that won't work, I appreciate the opportunity to have a nice weight while card to use. The quote cards, I may cover the quote with a photo or a piece of white paper so that the color provides a nice strong border. I also mix in a lot of the Kelly Purkey cards. Even thought SBTM are very themed, I find them usable for other months as well. I don't sub to anything else so it's a nice selection of new material for me.

AE will have a travel line this year? If so, congrats to Inked for putting SC's travel line on the market before hers! They managed to sell out all but one of the 4x6 stamp sets from that line too... Anyone got extra info on this?

I haven’t seen any official announcement, but I remember Ali hinted at it in a video or something. And then I guess she let Story Camp see it first:

I’m making monthly spreads for each of my kids albums using mostly the SBTM kit. This month I pulled some of January cards in and I think it all coordinated together pretty well. Some months it’s a little bit harder to make all the thematic elements work, but I like how the creative team shows spreads that sometimes take a less literal approach to the card prompts. For example, the “things I love about April” will be more like “things I loved this month”.

I'm not using the kits as much as I thought I would but $10/month is a steal so I'm not planning on going anywhere.
Anyone want to place odds on changes to the kit next year? They'll either bump the price a few dollars or reduce quality. Knowing Inked Brands and April Foolster, they'll reduce quality.

A price increase for new subscriber and some change to the kit. Possibly a 3x4 chipboard instead of the 4x6. So you'd get 1/2 as many. I'll prob keep my sub going for $10. It's a great value. If they try to change the price I signed up for I'll walk.

I love the kits and would hate for them to change but if the value drops or price goes up, I may not be able to keep it. And I want to keep it for as long as it exists or becomes too samey.

Hmm interesting to hear about a travel line but I already have quite a few travel specific supplies and also like to use a variety of things in travel albums. Guess I’ll see what ends up being released.

SaveSaveOr they could turn it into a $25-ish kit by ending the previous-year-digi-kit-designs-gone-physical format and having Ali design a whole new one. They'd need a few more monthly cards, another embellishment or two and voilà. Money maker right there.
