That’s just awful. They all look short and shapeless..the hem is a little off and it needs some seams to give it a shape. I wore something shaped like that while recovering from abdominal surgery.

Not a fan of the dress either but I do think that it's cool that they're promoting the dress with women from her company, not professional models

NO! NO! NO! NO! EVEN MORE NO!
I find it really insulting. I remember when some of the fashion houses tried to get into the paper crafting sector how upset the scrapbooking queens were about it. "Can't Kate Spade just make her bags!" That was one quote that really stood out. I find it hypocritical.
The dress is downright ugly and unflattering. Somebody needs to take a draping course.

I can't help but feel that there is something exploitative going on here. Not exploitative like illegal or shady because anyone who chooses to buy these dresses are doing so of their own accord, but something doesn't sit right with me when papercrafting 'celebs' expand into things like clothing. I feel a little more comfortable with the likes of Ali Edwards doing it (think it's because you'd be buying merch with Ali's handwriting on if you purchased one of the vests shes currently selling) but Becky selling clothes under her brand, it just feels wrong and like she's trying to milk her fanbase for every penny she can get.
She has managed to hook lots of people into Project Life and pocket page scrapbooking, I am one of those people and I wouldn't have found this incredible hobby without Project Life. But to build up a fan base and then start trying to flog them cheap-ass dresses at a high price, I think it's gross.
It's so - look at me, you all admire me! You all want to be like me! Buy a dress named after me!
Gross.

What is this? Mormon flamenco? ¡Olé! And why did Becky release this dress after Halloween? It's a joke, right? Nothing's right about it. Nothing's flattering. They had to go with such a sack model because that polyester + spandex fabric is so freaking unflattering when it meets even the smallest of curves. Gah, look at their chests in that one pic in which they don't lean over/pose to make it look as good as possible: washcloth boob syndrome! ♪ Becky with the bad dress. ♪ (I ain't sorry. No no, hell nah!)

They all have on the wrong size-it says they all have on larges except one and she has on a medium. Why would you do that to advertise a new item that really has nothing to do with your products? It might look a lot better if it were the correct size!

It's not a flattering dress. The ladies are lovely, but the dress doesn't do them any favors. I'm a plus size girl and I wouldn't wear it if they did offer it in my size.

I kind of don't even have words.
To me this is yet another reason why our beloved scrapbooking industry is slipping further away from what it once was.
This is such a disappointment.

That is not a swing dress. I can't see how that is flattering for anyone. Had a proper lol at the suggested styling to wear a scarf if it's chilly though.
It's it a very early April fools?

I wonder if it would look better cinched in the waist with a belt. The sleeves just scream perfect for a diy witch costume, too. Other than that...I maintain frumpy as the only accurate description.

I think a burlap gunny sack would have more style. And possibly a better shape. It’s definitely not a positive selling point to say, “All these women are wearing a large!” Especially when it looks equally terrible on all of them.

If it didn't have those double bell sleeves, it might get more sales. There are lots of dresses of similar shapes on the market, but she could push the deep colours and the comfort of the fabric. If it didn't have those sleeves, it could be reaccessorized every day and get a lot of use. With those sleeves, it couldn't be worn very often.
And how can you market clothing with just one style? I guess she has tee shirts too? But don't people shop where they have lots of choices?

I looks like it *might* be comfortable, but looking at the design, I'd guess it makes a woman appear at least 20 lbs. heavier than she is. No way would I wear it. This. I think it looks comfortable. I'd only wear it if I were a size 5-7 I'd wear it. I can't see why people want to wear a BH dress though.

And I think she's a little late to the online clothing game. Most of us went through this over a year ago with LLR. I found out that buying clothes online is not a good idea unless it's from kohls where I know what's and sizes look good or fit on me.

I wonder if it would look better cinched in the waist with a belt. The sleeves just scream perfect for a diy witch costume, too. Other than that...I maintain frumpy as the only accurate description. I agree that it would make sense to market these with several belted look photos. Wild guesses why they didn't: 1. They're marketing these toward their "mummy audience" who want something loose around their stomach area. 2. Polyester + spandex fabric goes all extra drapey when it has relief changes to cling to. It emphasises and blows up every curve. Very unflattering if you don't have a perfect body (or one you're comfortable showing beneath fabric). Keeping it loose is the only way to go if your models don't have typical model bodies (and you want to sell something that camouflages any imperfections) and don't want to pay for better materials.

WHY does the Amazon description call it a 'bodycon' dress? doesn't that mean body conscious?? It's so shapeless, maybe it should be called 'body SELF-con' for those self-conscious of their shape, to cover it up?? lol.
ETA: from Becky's blog post: "We’re obsessed with the double bell sleeves. Very on trend and super flattering. And those edges … mmmmm. So pretty. There are no pockets because while we LOVE pockets, that would have added bulk in the wrong places with this particular style. So really … you’re welcome. ; )"
re: what I italicized / bolded... I actually laughed out loud! ARE those double bell sleeves super-flattering? on anyone? And the dress is so awful already, I don't think I would have noticed any 'added bulk' from pockets. Pockets would have at least been useful.
One other observation from me- they already all look short, squatty, and frumpy in the dress- but the shoes they're wearing also visually 'cut off' the line of their leg to make their legs look stumpier than they otherwise would if they were wearing a different style shoe- something like ballet flats.
and whoever said "Pilgrim dress" is spot-on!! just give them those buckled shoes, and the white fabric cap for their hair, and they're all set!

Based on some of the comments, it sounds like some people think that modest clothing is naturally and inevitably ugly. It doesn't have to be. Provocative clothing can be ugly, too. Men just won't care as long as they can see flesh.
Some of us do prefer to dress modestly but still manage to look attractive and stylish.
Unfortunately, while Becky's dress is modest apparel, it is totally and completely unflattering. It didn't have to be. A lot of Mormon women are going to refuse to buy that dress. I don't think enough of her "followers" will be willing to pay for an ugly dress just because her name is on it. The ones who buy it will be those who value comfort over appearance. I know some women like that, but not many.
