I see on the BH LLC Facebook page somebody posted under the picture of Molly in the dress that it is unflattering and the comment has gotten a lot of likes. I have noticed at conventions that there is a large (ha! no pun intended) market for plus size clothing for scrapbookers which Becky should have taken into consideration.

Someone who is better at sketching than I am please draw up blueprints for a scrapbooking muumuu. It needs to have a big 12x12 pocket on the front and multiple other pockets for embellishments and adhesives. And ink-resistant fabric. Maybe an attached fanny pack for snacks and whatnot.

I think she’s actually doing plus size women a favour by not stocking it in larger sizes. There are so many incredible places to buy plus size clothes now. This dress doesn’t even good on a base size - it clings to their bodies and bras. It’s the kind of dress that highlights every single lump and bump.

Several months ago, the whole Becky team was touting this Amazon dress as their "favorite". Blog Link Amazon LinkOne of the highlights was that it was $20-$25. Basically "she" (or someone affiliated with her) made a knockoff of that and then she attaches a $44.95 price tag to it. I haven't ordered either dress because I carry all my weight where it would be negatively highlighted by a dress like this, but the whole thing is just weird.

I'm showing my age, that linked dress drape reminds me of the burlap "designer" dresses in an I Love Lucy episode. I hope this link works : pin.it/LcuKIi4Now that I've started this reply, the whole BH dress marketing reminds me of that episode. People will wear some crazy things if it's in style around them. I expect BH's to be offered in some wild LuLu Roe print and have a cult following soon.

They also mentioned how great it was that that dress had pockets. ...so they created a similar dress, eliminated the pockets, added some piping around the sleeves (and personally I think the bell sleeves/piping look ridiculous and I haven’t seen anyone wearing them irl) and doubled the price?

I was thinking the same thing when this thread was started! How is this dress new? I'd pick the first one over the recent one. It's easier to fix with accessories. There's no fixing with their current favorite.

It seems Becky is trying to expand her brand and is just throwing things out there to see what sticks. I’m guessing the expensive wrapping paper and the overpriced notebooks didn’t go over that well so now shes testing the apparel market. If that’s her plan she might want to do a little research. I can’t imahine even her diehard fans buying that frumpy unflattering dress.

I think the dress in the links looks okay on someone really thin like the lady in the Amazon ad but on the average sized women pictured on her blog, not so much. The “cocoon effect” down by the knees adds volume to the lower half of their bodies which isn’t doing them any favors. It might be comfortable but it only draws attention down on anyone carrying more weight in their hips or thighs—right where I wouldn’t want it.

You know, ladies, you're all being so harsh on this dress. All you need to do is shorten it by a few inches, cinch it in with a nice leather belt, wear a scarf or some chunky jewellery, add leggings and boots. But most important of all is to add a nice big winter coat to cover it all up, and then keep the coat on all day...

I have a dress similar to this I got from ModCloth last year. This is a great dress so easy to fit tons of different styles and body types and it can be dressed down or up.

The first thing I thought of was AE wearing her trench coat all day at that event a few months ago. Maybe she had an ill-advised Becky dress on underneath it...

I think she’s actually doing plus size women a favour by not stocking it in larger sizes. I was kidding, but you know hardcore BH fans would buy it even if the dress looked like it was made by Omar the tent maker, so she's missing out on a $$$$ making opportunity.

I thought you were going to suggest buying a fashionable dress pattern, cutting the dress up and making it into something wearable. Kind of like those fashion blogs where people buy the biggest, ugliest thing they can find at the thrift store, cut it up and remake it into something cute!

I read the whole thread. Few things I noticed... 1. Both pictures have to be photo shopped. Like they stretched out the top and bottom to make them look longer 2. I might be late to the party, but isn't one of the models Teresa Collin's daughter? 3. The dress, in any color is not flattering. It looks like a lot of fabric and would be heavy. My hot flashes would not allow me to wear it. I second the nopenopenope.......

I just clicked through to the Cents of Style website and the biggest joke of all is this paragraph: I’M ON A LIFETIME QUEST TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO “CULTIVATE A GOOD LIFE AND RECORD IT.” IT’S AN HONOR TO TEAM UP WITH CENTS OF STYLE TO BRING YOU FUN FASHION ITEMS THAT HAVE VERY SIGNIFICANT MEANING TO ME — AND PROBABLY MANY OF YOU. THANKS SO MUCH FOR PICKING UP AN ITEM OR TWO TO HELP YOU AS YOU STRIVE TO CULTIVATE A GOOD LIFE. 1. How does this sack have a 'very significant meaning' to you? 2. How does buying this sack help me to 'cultivate a good life'?

Serious eye roll over here! I'm so over Becky and her preaching at everyone. I can't think of another SB persona who tells people how to live their life "correctly". AE, HS etc., just sell product and really that's all I want. I am certain that buying an ugly dress that will make me look shorter and dumpier will not improve my life.
