Haters are going to hate, but Becky is obviously doing something right. From the looks of social media she appears to have a lot going on. Like everything else....I buy the product I like and I follow the advice that makes sense. I'm just not that emotionally invested in what she does or doesn't do.
PS - I would never buy that dress! I would have agreed w/everything in this post except the "haters are going to hate" starter. Sometime in the not to distant future (I hope), more people will get that not everyone who is critical of a public figure's offerings is a "hater". Yes. It reminds me of TC feeling like she is the only one allowed to have an opinion (unless you agree with her).

Items that have been on the market less than one month tend to not need a sale that quickly. Normally I would agree, but it is the Xmas season. Products that are popular rarely go on sale when they are new, even at Christmas. If Becky is trying to make more people aware of it, putting it on sale is a way of advertising it and making it seem like a great deal. It is also a way to try to interest people who might not otherwise buy it. However, I would not buy that dress no matter how much it is discounted. To be blunt, I would not wear it, even if it were given to me free. It is not flattering to any of the women shown. I have far more attractive dresses that are still comfortable but don't make me look 20 pounds heavier than I am.

The video of her daughter wearing it was more flattering than any of the women. There's a big difference between a child's shape and a woman's shape.

Someone brought up TC above and I think the comparison is spot on. Both had some products that fit a certain market within scrapbooking, and both of them just came out with repetitive designs ad nauseum. Same style, same products - eventually your core market is saturated and moves on.
Only problem is that they didn't recognize it - so now they're trying to look relevant.
TC literally has no new product and if she did we all know it's gonna be gold foil with white because ya know, it's the best.
I don't see BH's dress as modest (Project Runway this season proved that you can have style and modesty) but this dress is shapeless and fugly. I can see her pricepoint if the dress is made in the US as opposed to overseas.
It's a no from me.

You can't say she's not giving the dress a workout. Here it is again at a person's baptism that she shared on her IG. Still looks as shapeless as it did in the promo pix.

I don't see BH's dress as modest It covers her garments, that's probably how she defines modesty. No sleeveless tops. Skirts and dresses go to the knee or below.

No, No, No, No, No!!!!!!! Does she have any real friends who actually will tell her straight how things are? I would never let one of my girls walk out the door looking like that. One because I love them to pieces and want them to feel great. Two I would be too embarrassed to be seen with them. All these ladies in the photo are so lovely and pretty, including Becky. Becky has always been very pretty. This dress does her no favors. She is washed out in it. No, that is not the lighting. I thought the sleeves were horrendous in her promo pictures but this is even worse. Those sleeves should be outlawed. The way the dress is tailored is just accenting things that..... You know. It is a nightmare. I can't get over how the sleeves can accent her arms and make them look so bad. Then bless her she chose a really bad hairstyle to go with that dress. She looks like one of those poor women stuck in some crazed religious cult. If that is the look she is going for she nailed it! I am not body shaming her. She has a very pretty figure. I am one of those girls who believe that we should all celebrate our figures and have clothes that make us look beautiful and sexy. I don't care if your wearing an animal print miniskirt and leather top or your favorite baggy sweater. Those pieces should be for you and make you feel like a goddess who can rule the world. That guy in the background his look says it all. I guess Becky is a real celebrity. I do this every day on my celebrity sites I hang out at. We critique the fashion of our favorite celebrities and beg them to do it differently, lol. Most of those beautiful girls are contracted to wear those contraptions. Becky chose to wear this.

I don't think that everyone's opinion can be ascribed to being a hater. Especially in this thread. BH has been really respected in the SB industry by SCRAPBOOKERS. I don't think that a single one of us would have a problem if she branched out IF IT MADE SENSE. Wrapping paper? These awful dresses? Not at all.
Oversimplifying by saying we are all haters actually just shows an unwillingness to really dig deeper and pay attention to nuances. Much easier to generalize than to intellectualize I suppose.

exactly! I am not a BH hater. I wish her all the success in the world. I love the PL app, and use a little bit of physical PL product. I would like to see her succeed and if other people like the dress and buy it...good for them/her. I am just not that person. I am not buying the dress, or the notebook or the wrapping paper. I don't hate anyone.

That's what I mean...I like Becky. I wish her all the success in the world. I've followed her intermittently over the years. I remember when she used to do sketches in Creating Keepsakes. I remember when PL first came out (I think it was called Project 365) and I was one of the people who was so sad it sold out on CK within 5 minutes or something crazy. I was there when PL came out officially from her website and she did the take a picture wherever you were with your box. Those were some good times. Talking about it now makes me think about doing it again next year.
I'm still not changing my opinion about those hideous dresses or the overpriced wallpaper with the dumb video.
Like I said, dig deeper and you'll see a bunch of her fans who are entitled to their opinion.

I am a hater. I am proud of it. I proudly and loudly state "I HATE THAT DRESS!" That is silly about "haters gonna hate." What is there to hate about Becky? She didn't marry Idris Elba for gosh sakes. Then maybe, maybe we would all hate her. The issue is Becky is getting into industries that she doesn't have experience in and acting like they should welcome her as if she is Meghan Markle. Becky is showing herself to be the kind of person she deserves it because she had success in her limited field and a few people know her name. I really hope Becky is not like that in real life. She sure is coming off like that professionally.

To each his (her) own, but that was my first thought.... when I saw all of them together in the dresses, it looked like the off shoot Mormon woman. You know, the ones that practice polygamy with the big hair... I love Becky and her scrappin' products and can even tolerate the off-scrappin' products like wrapping paper but maybe clothing design isn't her forte...
