Sadly, I can report that there are no longer any scrapbook stores in the Birmingham metro area. There's one out near Moody (a suburb), but it's not worth a detour. I follow Whimsodoodle on Instagram and I'd love to go one day! Or to Scrappin' in the City in Knoxville, TN--they have Dyan Reavely and Dina Wakely, etc. there regularly to teach classes.

I’ll be in North Carolina in May. I googled scrapbook stores and “Grandma’s Toybox” pops up in Emerald Isle and “Beach Memories” in Nag’s Head. I’ll be in both areas so I’ll report back.
I’m also in Nashville at that time (mother of all road trips) and it looks like a new craft store “Craft South” in 12South which is on my list of neighborhoods to visit. I’m usually struggling to find something new in Nashville since we’ve exhausted all the touristy stuff (and DH is from there). I’m really excited about 12South.

From what I could see online, Grandma's is mostly toys, and 12South is mostly sewing, but if their scrap sections are big enough they'd be worth adding. Have a great trip! |

Yes, I see now that Craft South is sewing. Maybe I’ll find 12 Days of Christmas felt kits! 😄 grandmas looked a combo scrapbook / toy store. I’m curious to see what they have.

Grandma’s Toybox has 3 bays in a strip mall (Emerald Plantation?) in Emerald Isle NC. One bay is all scrappy stuff. It’s not the latest products available, but not the oldest either. A large selection of beach/resort and Christmas. It’s a great resource considering the lack of options otherwise. Good selection of wood mount rubber stamps, die sets.
Unfortunately, I never made it to the Nags Head store so no update there. We did pass a craft store in Manteo on Hwy 64, but I saw it on our way out of town so didn’t get a chance to stop there either.

South Carolina - Scrapbook Creations is closed.
North Carolina - Chic Custom Creations in Lincolnton NC is a wonderful store. Very limited hours, check her Facebook page for dates and times open.
