Now had he treated previous president with this kind of respect I could at least given him a tiny pass on this.

And he’s specifically speaking about elected Democratic lawmakers. That’s awful.

Too bad he didn't honor the Military in Gettysburg and show respect for the flag!
Trump fails to honor U.S. flag during military ceremony BY Denis Slattery NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Thursday, October 12, 2017, 8:25 PM
President Trump’s ire over disrespecting the American flag doesn’t extend to himself.
The President on Wednesday remained seated and talked while “Retreat” and “To the Colors” were played at an Air National Guard hangar in Middletown, Pa.
“What a nice sound that is,” Trump told Fox News’ Sean Hannity as he watches the crowd stand.
Trump appeared to have no knowledge of the significance of the songs, even joking with Hannity that they were being played in his honor. “Are they playing that for you or for me?” Trump quipped. “They’re playing that in honor of his ratings. He’s beating everybody.”
Twice a day, as the American flag is raised and lowered on U.S. military bases and other installations, a bugle plays “Retreat.”
It is tradition for both service members and civilians to pay their respects to the flag during the ceremony. ** He IS the Commander-in-Chief!!!!!!!!

I'm guessing if a Dem Rep had yelled "YOU LIE!", ala Joe Wilson, during the SOTU, he'd have been hauled off in chains?

Every time you have one finger pointed at someone, 3 more fingers are pointed at you. Trump is the one that is treasonous.

That's rich, Trump calling someone else treasonous.

He's testing the waters for a new rallying cry. Because that's how we decide if something is treasonous. Because somebody said it was, so why not.

Now had he treated previous president with this kind of respect I could at least given him a tiny pass on this. No, not even then could I give that statement a pass. Is that true? Is it verifiable? Because if that statement is something he said then some one had better issue a correction immediately. Because if that statement is not corrected loudly & clearly I have an issue with not only Trump but every lawmaker that allows that statement to stand. And HE is not the one who has me becoming a one issue voter, running in the other direction than I’ve ever been in my life. It is the ones who are over and over again ignoring of his failure to adhere to checks & balances & ethics rules and everything thing that made this country a safe place to live & exist. Im not sure I can ever forgive the turning a blind eye to things like this. Not clapping is a freedom of expression we are all granted if we don’t have that freedom, we have no freedom at all.

Trump: Can we call that treason? Why not. Why not?? Well, because there are these things called LAWS that we follow here in our country. YOU, as President, do NOT get to make sweeping proclamations a la a royal monarch. You were elected President, NOT KING. And not authoritarian dictator, either. Because if that statement is something he said then some one had better issue a correction immediately. Because if that statement is not corrected loudly & clearly I have an issue with not only Trump but every lawmaker that allows that statement to stand. I agree with this. The longer it goes without people (the press, Congresspeople, whoEVER) calling him out on his LIES, UNTRUTHS, and MADE-UP statements-- because that's what they are-- the more the people who listen to him BELIEVE what he says, no matter HOW FALSE it is.

I was reading this thread while opening mail and i see a ballot of special election in one of our districts.
I am doing my part by voting away from him and his jackass party. May be thinks that’s treason too. Can’t roll my eyes enough.

Cnn’s article said that because dems didn’t applaud hum, he hinted it will be difficult for him to work on any bipartisan bill with them. Is that true? Or is cnn coming up with stuff from thin air now?

that's the problem-- I don't understand why the Press pool, etc. do not HAMMER SHS with questions and comments about shit like this!! Just to get the point across that we SEE and HEAR his lies. Then maybe someone in the White House can work on him to keep his mouth shut and stick to the script when he's talking, perhaps?!?
Some people probably think 'oh, it's just Trump being Trump' and because he says so MUCH untrue stuff, it's hard to call him out on all of it.
But because calling out his lies DOESN'T happen (and especially not on Fox, the President's propaganda network) his devoted followers do NOT know just HOW MANY lies and untruths he spouts on a regular basis. And because of THAT, when 'they' (Trump supporters / devotees) see 'us liberals' getting upset about it, they think 'oh, they're just special snowflakes.'
But what we ARE is CONCERNED CITIZENS WHO DO NOT LIKE LYING, MISLEADING, OR UNTRUE STATEMENTS from the people in our government. Doesn't matter WHO it is.
I mean, come on! If you'd call out your 8-year old for saying something untrue, then why not the President??

I would absolutely stand when he entered a room as that is protocol, however I would not call not standing to be treasonous. I respect the office, just not the man in it. I don't expect others to feel the same.

and to add to his never-ending supply of self-awareness, he also said he is "not braggadocios" !!!! I heard him say it on the nightly news among the treasonous claims. had to google to see if he did.
Of course he did.
