JaneB - in the layout with the white squirrel? Yes, that's me. Not a flattering picture but probably a reasonably accurate one

JaneB , I love the soft colors you used on your page. You are so clever, that title is fabulous.
Linda , you really got moving quickly. I love your pages. School photos are some of my faves. I love the beautiful cloud photos. What a great idea for documenting an early morning event. I love your energy symbol. Great job!!
crystalb , I love your bright and fun page. I am partial to anything Pixar. Love the photo of the kids with the Incredibles.
Chinagirl828 , that page about Flat Stanley is delightful. What a cutie. I love the story and love your use of the stamps. Very classy work.

grammadee , that's not Christmas with the lights, that was 31st July, the other night, when Ian had put up a few more lights Guess I just made the assumption. This far north, we very seldom get photos of outdoor lighting this time of year. Days are already getting a bit shorter, but to get a photo like those, I would need to be outside after midnight.

Y'all are rocking August! I was lucky enough to get some time off work today and here's the result... It's layered with a white background but you can't see it in this photo. Now on to the next one! Oh scrappy day! Edited to add: I forgot, this is one of the sketch challenges, I think June. Off to look it up and add my points.

I think I'm starting to get the hang of "layering" (I'm trying!). It's a great way to use up your scraps. With twins, I feel I have to do a layout for both of them, so here's the other one...

DawnMcD, I love that homey, kitcheny, tasty page. Left you love in the gallery. MDscrapaholic, beautiful pages. I love the photo and love the differences in how you scrapped the 2 pages. Your layering is wonderful. Love your "school" papers and embellishments. Lovely. Linda, you are really on a roll. I love 8.5x11 layouts because they give me great ideas. Love the number of photos you were able to use. Cute page. It's fun to see new layouts popping up all the time. What talented scrappers we have in this challenge.

Here is what I fiddled with today.
32 points(did I count correctly!?)
layout, share, splatter it, threes the charm, be there or be square, rock those rectangles, border patrol, put a stamp (10!) on it, trendy (paper distressing), school days (the collection is all school related too), mixed media (splatters, stamping, distressing, coloring), wood and metal (wood veneers and brads), dig out the alphas, Donna challenge, use those scraps, It's more fun when we're together, feeling edgy, border security, Level UP!, Midnight becomes you, Single photo (the not part), My stars!, and the stash challenge (scraps, stickers, text and enamel stars).
I don't think I will list all the challenges each time shew! That was rough! LOL
I had fun with this one though doing five mins here and there all day today! Aug 2-BOGO Sale by Crystal B, on Flickr

crystalb, AMAZING how many challenges you fit in there! Great LO too, I like the way you splattered the background to lighten it up. MDscrapaholic, love both the layouts, kinda nice to have 2 changes to use pretty paper if you scrap for both! linda - great photo layout/placement and capturing the fun with the paper. DawnMcD - left love in the gallery, but I really like the background and use of the rectangular elements, and especially the shaker box!

Chinagirl828 that’s great! JaneB what gorgeous colors! Love the little plane and tag/tickets/charm cluster! Linda dang girl, save some points for the rest of us I love your torn sunrise border too! And that atom thingie is adorable I love the little pop of color with the butterfly on the museum page, and I have a story about a white squirrel: when we visited Washington D.C. in the 80s, we saw one. Well I took a photo because it was really cool. Got the photos developed and no squirrel! So yeah, I totally saw a ghost squirrel in D.C.! very nice to see you on some of these pages DawnMcD what a gorgeous LO! I love the color scheme and giant title; great take on the sketch, too, and wowza for 30 points! MDscrapaholic I love both of your pages! I love how you used those old jenni bowlin alphas on the first one, and that notebook cover paper is too too cool! The silly goose made me smile did you make the background of the second with alphas? If so, kudos to you, I’d never have the patience for that! Your layering is great, btw, keep it up! crystalb what a fun, colorful page! And Clifford! We love Clifford in my house love all the layering and the fun top border of things peeking out! And 32 points may be the record for a single page LO, you go girl! kitbop love your page! The heart border is so cute and I love all the layering and washi and inking and stitching and is that modeling paste on the torn blue piece? Great stamping too!

MDscrapaholic, where did you get the Silly goose die cut??? I love it and must have one! Very cute pages. Did you place all of the alpha stickers on the background of the 2nd? I love the colors and how the background looks. grammadee, Does it really stay light until midnight there? how far north are you? So in the winter, what's your average sunny period? Linda, Love that large polka dot paper. Great layout. DawnMcD, love your 2pager. Those colors are fantastic as is those letters for "apple pie day" as is your shaker element. crystalb, your kids really have a lot of personality. I love to see their photos. The layout is fabulous. Love the layers and all of the book themed items. kitbop, gorgeous page.

You ladies are on FIRE!!! I am blown away by all the creativity! And you are getting really good at earning the points! DawnMcD, 30 points, are you KIDDING me??? And all well earned! Left some love in the gallery for your glorious fall LO. MDscrapaholic, your school pages are awesome. I love the spiral border, the little school buses, and all the layering. LOVE those random letter stickers. I want to copy that. Great fall colours, too. That kid is having a lot of fun, Linda. Love the photo blocking and the torn edges. And crystalb: 32 points? And yet the page does not look overwhelmed with random techniques and products. You even have some "white" space! kitbop, that is a really cool story. The colours on that page really work well with that kraft background. I need to get my hands on some kraft soon. Have only one or two sheets in the drawer. We get some pretty long days in the summer, LisaDV, and pretty short ones in the winter. Sunset is expected for about 9:30 tonight. A month ago it was closer to 10:00 and you could read a newspaper on the deck until about 10:45. Sunrise tomorrow is supposed to be about 5:45AM. A month ago, it was 5:30. Birds start singing about 3:30 in the morning. In December, sun rises about 8:30AM and sets before 4:30PM.

I did make the background, thanks for noticing! I had used the letters from a small sheet of alphas for the title and realized I only had a few letters left on the sheet so I decided to use them up.

DawnMcD Wow! Great LO, love all the photos on there and perfect colours! Fabulous LO's MDscrapaholic, I love them both, great layering! mom, love that best day layout, the colours and title thickers are perfect. kiwigirl, I REALLY want that new Amy Tan and I'm so surprised to hear that you are not liking it as much as the Doodlebug. Can you give any explanation that would help me as I (online) shop for the AT line - which papers work and which are difficult???

August LO #2: 20 points (I've given up listing, there's too many. I used 2 stamp sets, stamped my title. And I used a different letter sticker for every word - wish I could have a point-per-set for that! The letters at the bottom I cut out and coated in glossy accents - that's why there's a glare on them in the photo. layout drew zoo by kirstendrew, on Flickr

I just love all the colours, so vibrant and well done. It's gert lush it is! (local saying, means it's very, very good!) Don't buy the 12x12 paper pad of Shine On anyone, you only get half the papers (same with the 6x6, it's the same as the 12x12). I have only just discovered this and I'm annoyed cause all the ones I liked are not in the paper pad, the paper with the circles and all the sort of plainer ones with stripes, grids and things, I would use them for backgrounds but I've had to go and buy them separately *grrrrr*. They're not here yet so I can give you a better opinion when they arrive. I've only done 1 LO so far but I am not liking the embellishments much. Those kraft stickers, they really don't seem to go with the collection to me. They just don't match. I may change my tune when I've done another LO maybe. And when I get the other stuff I ordered so I can give you a better opinion then if you want?

This one I moved pieces of paper and photos around for half an afternoon yesterday to no avail but a good night's sleep and it came together today. I'm still not 100% happy with it - but it's done and in the album.

I just finished this one. I'm taking 23 points for this one and I'm too lazy to list them all! I have wanted to use that pie chat paper for years and have (it's from a 6x6 paper pad) and I went digging for the old alphabets. I think the one I used for 'will' used to be turquoise flock? It's not anymore that's for sure!
