And there is this little gem from Trump Jr. www.google.com/amp/s/amp.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/oct/1/donald-trump-jr-more-afraid-for-his-sons-than-daug/Seriously, he is more afraid for his son than his daughters in light of the Kavanaugh allegations? Well, I guess it stands to reason based on family history. I mean Grandpa is a serial abuser, and Jr doesn’t seem interested in exhibiting respect for women, so there is a high likelihood that he will actually engage in abusive behavior. So yes, he probably SHOULD be concerned for that particular boy. But for other boys being raised by parents who teach them to respect everyone and that “no means no?” I’m not so concerned. The likelihood that they will ever be falsely accused is extremely low and pales in comparison to the sad statistical probability that any given girl will be the victim of sexual assault or sexual abuse.

OMG, did you all see the letter released by the SJC about Swetnick from a man named Ketterer? ETA: Here is the link direct from the SJC government page. Unfreakingreal. They have all lost their minds! linkAll I get is a 404 error message... is it gone? That's what I would get when I went through the SJC page. Here is the link to the Salt Lake City Tribune which then linked to the SJC site. Maybe that would work for you. link

Integrity, ethics and justice aren't "partisan". If you think these are just "liberal" concepts that's part of the problem. I think the problem is that those ARE primarily liberal concepts right now.

He really should have just gone out and been honest in the first place. Now there is so much more that is piling up to show that he was lying.
I don’t know how much I care if he drank or was obnoxious in high school. People can change as they mature. But the lying indicates to me that he his character is lacking. I had concerns about that prior to the accusations.

Because this woman never mentioned any sexual assault to him personally during their time together, and because her father said she had psychological problems, this letter he wrote automatically means she is lying about her allegations? News flash! Those of us who have experienced some form of sexual violence don’t go around telling every single guy our whole life’s history. In my case the only male I have ever told is my husband. Perhaps the psychological problems she was experiencing were the direct result of a trauma she had previously experienced (I know mine are the direct result of what happened to me). And, people who have experienced sexual violence can still go on to enjoy their sex life! It’s an astounding fact I know! 😡

Check out Michael Avenetti's Twitter---he just posted a statement from someone who witnessed Kavanaugh spiking the drinks and his drunkenness! I say this as someone who is very much a liberal who does not want to see Kavanaugh on the court because he is a lying liar who lies, but Avenatti needs to shut up and sit down. If he has relevant information regarding sexual assault, take it to the FBI or a reputable news source for investigation - do not grandstand on Twitter. He’s turning this into a shitshow and ruining the credibility of Blasey Ford and Ramirez. For the record, I believe Ford and Ramirez but I don’t think there is enough information yet on Swetnick. Which is why ALL claims need a thorough investigation

He’s demanding the FBI investigate Swetnick’s and her witnesses’ claims, but they will not. Avenatti’s back-and-forth emails with Davis, the chief counsel for the committee, have produced nothing; counsel said stop emailing me. Avenatti’s methods may be self-serving but Swetnick is being 86’d. If she’s lying, fine, prosecute her, but investigate her claims first.

If he'd come out and said something like 'I was a real jerk in High School and College, I drank a lot and did a lot of things I am not proud of', I would have a lot more understanding for him. But his denials and his outburst when questioned about the allegations show his true character - he either doesn't think he did anything wrong, or doesn't care that he did, and that he hurt people.

I do believe that he had repeatedly tried to get the information to both the Senate Committee as well as the FBI, and it has fallen on deaf ears.
So what then?
Does one just sit back and go "oh, okay, guess this pertinent information is just not wanted, okay, so sorry to bother you with this?"
My thought is HECK NO, if they REFUSE to listen/examine/consider, then I say take it to wherever it warrants.

In today's press briefing, SHS was asked several times why the president mocked Christine Ford. SHS answered that he was merely stating facts, none of this would have happened if Dems had not exploited Ford, and both Kavanaugh and Ford are victims of Democrats. Seriously. Those were her answers. This is the kind of poison we're forced to swallow every single day.

My take on it is: none of this would have happened if they hadn't tried to ram his confirmation through so quickly. Then Dr. Ford could have gotten her information to someone before he was chosen (like she TRIED to do), they would have done this investigation in private before he was picked, and disqualified him as being unfit for the Supreme Court due to lying, unsuitable demeanor, etc. etc. etc. I don't have any words that cover what I think of SHS... the feelings of contempt/disgust I have for all of them is somehow indescribable.

The FBI didn’t even talk with Ford or Kavanaugh. What was the point? Unless there was overwhelming evidence supporting the fact that Kavanaugh lied repeatedly in that Senate Hearing, and they didn’t need to speak to them to conclude he is a lying snake that lies, there is no way to call this “investigation” anything remotely close to thorough.

From Bloomberg:
A tentative plan for viewing the report is that a single copy will be available in a secure room for senators to view starting Thursday morning, at one-hour intervals alternating between Republicans and Democrats, according to a person briefed on the matter.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether the Federal Bureau of Investigation was trying to force the issue and seek explicit approval from the White House to interview Ford and Kavanaugh. And it wasn’t clear why the FBI hasn’t yet talked to other people who have been recommended by lawyers or who have voluntarily come forward -- or if the bureau would need explicit approval to talk with them as well. ** Senator Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, said in a statement Wednesday that the lack of interviews with Ford, Kavanaugh and others “raises serious concerns that this is not a credible investigation and begs the question: What other restrictions has the White House placed on the FBI?”
The FBI declined to comment on the investigation or its timing. **********************
Think about that.......... ONE hour rotating.. There are 100 Senators. Going round the clock that is 100 hours............ HOW can they vote on Friday?!?!?!?!?!?!
When someone has a very serious decision to make, me in particular, I like to discuss it with another. How many people here say help me decide, bounce things off one another.
