Amy Coney Barrett was supposedly on Trump's short list. I know that Chuck Schumer said she would be the vote that would overturn Roe vs Wade. She is apparently very religious. The idea of another female Justice sounds great, but I'm not so sure she would've been any better. That’s all they got?

When the Democrats get power they’ll subpoena every FBI document in the investigation including Chris Wray’s memos with the WH. Hopefully he can be impeached. Why would the republicans go down this rabbit hole? Would it have killed them to have picked a woman to replace him? But I guess that can’t be done when you’re already paid for. It will bite them in the ass. Watch. I hope you’re right, but I’m losing confidence that Democrats will be able to make any meaningful difference while Trump is still in office. Like I said it’s a rabbit hole. Get ready for the twists and turns.

One thing I’m also completely curious about is just who exactly leaked Dr. Ford’s letter to the press? I hope journalists are still on that trail too. I would hope it would be found out! The way this whole thing was handled has really damaged the faith many had in all 3 branches of government, myself included. How is that good for anyone? The whole thing just didn't go well. There should be a definitive answer... Everyone is in 'limbo' and I mean everyone. When the Democrats get power they’ll subpoena every FBI document in the investigation including Chris Wray’s memos with the WH. Hopefully he can be impeached. I'm not even so sure that this a good answer. There needs to be an finality for everyone. I agree with those who wonder why neither Ford or Kavanaugh was interviewed by the FBI. As someone said above, they have the expertise to do it thoroughly. I have said before that I think that most normal people will tell the truth when talking to the FBI. (Cause they can get you if you don't.)

He says workload discourages women Senators from joining Judiciary Panel. “It’s a lot of work. Maybe they don’t want to do it....My chief of staff of 33 years tells me we’ve tried to recruit women and we couldn’t get the job done.”

I appreciate what you're saying, and know we have no choice but to accept the outcome. (But do hope Dems and others keep looking into Kavanaugh's issues). And the Dems did fight the good fight, but that's not good enough for me. For me, it boils down to feeling like the Rs & WH broke the rules (of ethics if nothing else) and exposed a big hole that needs to be fixed. The FBI not investigating the accuser and accused is unfathomable. Watch. I hope that they do a proper investigation. If the FBI investigation was limited-and it sounds as if it was-agents will be sure to document that. I heard that it is not certain that someone can be impeached for misdeeds prior to being in office. Since he very likely lied under oath about his past, this is an interesting question. I’ll bet that Justice Roberts is verrrry excited to welcome his newest, bestest beer buddy!

The chances of Kavanaugh being impeached are slim to none. Even if the democrats take back the house you still need a 2/3 majority vote in the Senate. That means of the 9 republican seats up in November the democrats would need to win all of them and still not have a 2/3 majority.

The Senate would be for removal of office, which I doubt would happen. But seriously, how proud would he be to be a disbarred, impeached judge sitting on the high court? I think he would relish in it. The one thing his testimony did was give lawyers presenting to the SCOTUS evidence to have him recused depending on the topic, but anything that can tie back to politics, alcohol, or sexual assault he would be hard pressed to prove he can be impartial

As cade387 mentioned, Kavanaugh still can be impeached by the House - it doesn’t need to go to the Senate at all for the impeachment part of the process.
