Jumping in here because we are gifting our 3 adult children their spouses and 6 grandkids a trip to WDW as their Christmas gift. We plan on going March 2022. This will be the first trip for our grandchildren. They range in ages 3-9. I am starting to freak out about planning everything. My biggest concern right now is where we should stay. I am going to go back and read this entire thread and make notes!

If not (or if you arrange rooms for 4 each) you’ll have no limitations on where you can stay! There are a couple options for 5, but then things get scarce at 6+! For little ones the pool at Art of Animation can’t be beat. My family’s overall favorite resort experience was at Fort Wilderness Cabins. That would be insanely expensive to get multiple cabins though! But again, the full kitchens could save a lot of money with meals. Have fun planning! I think planning WDW trips was half the fun! 🥰

We stayed at Caribbean Beach Resort in 2020 and it was excellent, that's where I've booked for our next trip even though our car situation will be different (we are a family of 5). It had easy access to the Skyliner and bus and, obviously, the parking long where you can get your own car or snag a Lyft/Uber easily. As honeypea said, family of 5 options are where you get limited on rooms and then even more limited after that. Family of 4 is the sweet spot.

We’ve also stayed at the Yacht and Beach Club as a family of 6. But our favorite was staying at an air bNB last time (with 8). That was the kids favorite since we had a private pool and the neighborhood had a water park down the street. It was so nice to come back to a place that was spacious. And it was great for rest times so everyone could do their own thing. You could even have a few families stay together if you wanted.

It's official!!! November 2022! I am so damn excited! Have you been before during Christmas time? Any tips?
I have to tell the fellow peas my daughter got the cutest scrunchie with mouse ears with a glittery bow from a co-worker. I'm definitely scrapping that! We were shopping at the grocery store where she works when she gave it to her. I tried not tearing up because it would have been "so embarrasing!" She's like a second mom to her.

Have you been before during Christmas time? Any tips? I've never been during Christmas, this is a definite Bucket List item for me. Skell will have all the tips. ^.^ I'm sure that scrunchie is super cute!! I've read a lot of stories about mouse ears giving terrible headaches, so I've never purchased because I'm prone to them anyway. I once special ordered a pair and they arrived and immediately busted when I tried them on. The headband just broke in half. Super sad. However, I found a chick on Etsy who puts the ears on like a rubber headband thing? They look way less painful or the scrunchie idea since I'm always in a ponytail.

They have these stickers at dollar tree. I love the Mickey balloons. The princess heads look weird to me.

I’m going to be working on a Disneyland insert for PL soon, from our trip in May. We’re all wearing masks, as was required. Are there any Covid-y Disney supply things floating around? I can’t recall seeing any.

I have only been to WDW during at Halloween, DL is where I have been for Christmas, but I read a lot about it! I know they have Santa from each country in EPCOT, which I am really excited to see. In Italy it is a witch, La Befana. The fancy hotel near EPCOT has a walkthrough gingerbread house and Disney Springs has trees representing various movies and rides. They hold the Candelight Processional at EPCOT which is very different then the one I have seen at DL, but still supposed to be wonderful. It will never beat seeing Dick Van Dyke do the CLP in DL though. That is one of my most treasured memories.

Okay peas, found my SCAL software, so I can hook up my Cricut to my laptop. No laughing! I keep thinking I'll get a Silhouette when it dies, but the Cricut Expression is still going strong!
Links to sites with SVG Disney/Disneyesque please I think I have a decent amount of fonts.

I may purchase these; very versatile. I don't have PhotoShop, but there is a PDF file.

Thank you! We have masked Disney photos, too. Hoping to also find some ready made embellishments or stamps.

NO MASKS? I knew the mask mandate had dropped. I knew it. And yet, watching a live stream of the opening of the 50th anniversary celebration season, my brain still couldn't reconcile the idea of being in this kind of crowd maskless. Let alone in the US. ETA: I mean, they're just queuing maskless like it's 2019, all bunched up. Oof, my anxiety. Delta infects super quickly.
Our total population vaccination rate right now is 75.1%. Eligible population (12+) is 87.2%. And we still have government issued mask mandates for places like Disneyland Paris (and any other indoors publicly accessible place or outdoors space where safe social distancing is not possible). Not only is there a mask mandate, there's a Covid-19 pass mandate (full vaccination or negative test). And I'm not ready to go back to DLP right now. I can't imagine being at WDW right now. I just can't.
Not judging anyone going (at all!). But I'm uncomfortable watching the live stream. The US is not living through the pandemic as we are. It's like we're on different planets or something...

Our governor in Florida is an idiot. He’s against mask mandates and sees no issue with packing the parks with unmasked guests. 😬

I'm judging. I do feel like I'm on a different planet. It's insanity. I wouldn't want to be in those crowds PRE-CV. Rates are going back down, but hospitals and EVERYWHERE ELSE are still overwhelmed and understaffed. Our governor in Florida is an idiot. He’s against mask mandates and sees no issue with packing the parks with unmasked guests. 😬 And while I completely agree the FL Governor is a self serving jerk face, this is on Disney, too.

And while I completely agree the FL Governor is a self serving jerk face, this is on Disney, too. It really feels like Disney wants it all. They're not doing parades because of Covid-19 but letting people into the parks like before. That tiny cavalcade I just saw live is a joke. They're not doing parades because they have found a legit excuse to not pay for one, that's all. People are amassed sans mask like they were for a pre-pandemic parade. But that same legit excuse is gone with the wind as soon as it comes to any other safety measure in the park. This 50th Anniversary celebration is hypocritical at best. Yikes, Disney, just yikes.
