ETA: Saw this on IG yesterday and saved it for you, blemon. It's always fun to see freshly scrapped Disney park photos! Thanks for this and please keep the inspiration coming! I made the little dotted grid for my 6X8 DD so I can manipulate it and do something like this. It's actually such a great idea when you have lots of little photos you want to include. Unfortunately, all of my boxes are slightly different sizes because I had to move the lines a smidge to match up the dots. It makes for a challenging time but I could just do the page digitally. So many ideas! I wish I didn't have a job. Off to Pinterest! Ha.

Are these not free at the entrance of the parks in the US? I am hoping to find some from the years we were there. I didn't keep anything and I want a little bit of ephemera for when I do the older pages. We were there in July and I found some for March and October. I don't think they change enough for it to matter. I know ours change weekly. They update the schedule of shows, parades, meet-and-greets and special events and have a large special photo for the current Disney park season gracing the first page of the map brochure. I always, always bring one home. It's the only ephemera in my life I've ever been super consistent about. I forget or shrug my shoulders at most other ephemera but I have DIY-ed a folder to the exact dimensions of the park map brochure and it's the first thing I pick up when I enter the park. In the name of Walt, I miss my carefree annual pass days... I really, really do. *broken record wails*

I am not ashamed one bit that I purchased park maps before our trip in 2017 because the ones online were sucky. I like having the paper in my hand. ^.^ Are these not free at the entrance of the parks in the US? They do not pass out maps at the gate anymore! But they do have them, you need to ask to get one. They’re definitely stingy with them compared to years past where there would be stacks of them everywhere.

Update.
I told my daughter my plans and she remembered that she had to make a journal of one of our trips for school (since we pulled her out for a couple of days). So I have her little handwriting and lots of random stuff she taped in there. It is amazing.
The great hoarder that I am, I also found a gallon ziploc that had some stuff from this summer (not maps because we don't use them anymore). It's good.
And I took photos of the pages in the travel journal from our trip to fl where we went to Disney for 3 days. I'm about to add those to Instagram. Look for me: projectbethlemon I added a weird envelope to that book (something disney gave us -- maybe it had our reservation info in it. Not sure) and inside I had maps of Epcot and MK and times guides and a few other things. The rest of the ephemera is pretty much going to stay there. I probably won't do much for this in the new 9X12 because I think I covered it but there are some photos that I know I want to include.
I found some old Florida postcards too.
Woot!

refugeepea How was your daughter's trip? Are you scrapping her photos already? Did she enjoy the parade? I still haven't seen all of them . My husband met his aunt who lives in Florida and they did some photos with the memory makers pass. I have a photo of tinkerbell sitting on his hand and he has the weirdest grin plastered across his face. He also willingly wore a Christmas light bulb necklace around Disney World. I texted his cousin what fresh Disney hell is this? He tends to be pretty chill always wears a baseball cap sporting one of his favorite teams and isn't one to wear a special anything at Disney like a lot of people do. My daughter on the other hand, had coordinated outfits for each day at the park.
Any suggestions on how to get all the photos to me the easiest way? We all have android phones and I am obviously tech challenged.

You could also just be in the same room with them (if that's possible) and look at the photos one by one and text them to yourself from their phones. Just pick out the ones you like. When we're on trips that's what I do with my husband and daughter. I'm just like, "gimme your phones. I'm sending myself pics." I haven't tried google drive with photos but it works well with other files so that should be easy too.

Thought I'd give an update on my progress.
I went through all of my stash and pulled out papers, embellishments, and all that good stuff and made a kit like I do for DD. I pulled the IKEA organizer out of the basement and put it right back where it was all December.
I also looked through some boxes of photos and postcards that I had in the basement and found a few Disney postcards. I think they're from a one day trip to Magic Kingdom with a friend in like 2000. It's the only time I was there as a young adult. We took a couple of visits when we were kids.
Just waiting for that album to come in stock at SB.com so I can order. I'm going to start going through my 2021 photos today. I can play out some layouts without the album and page protectors. I already have an idea for how I will separate the trips. That's in my head.
I'm going to look through this thread. I want some more inspiration!!

Very pretty album, blemon ! I love those soft mixed media touches on most pages, especially. It really adds to the Disney magic. Disneyland Paris enters its 30th anniversary year (I WANNA GO, F OFF OMICRON!) and is also allowed to bring back the daily parade. To celebrate coming out of 2 years with many months of being closed, not being allowed to run the parade, going through heavy renovations, the official TV ad underlines the idea of "coming back to life" after 2 years of mostly standing still:

I hope it’s okay if I join in here. I’m a huge Disney fan, but I thought our 2017 Christmas trip to WDW would be our last, because our kids are grown. The 2017 trip was planned by our oldest son and his family, and we were invited to join them. DH seemed willing to go, but I didn’t think he enjoyed it enough to go back. DH had to have back surgery in December 2020, then he had a widow maker heart attack in March of 2021 and survived it. He is still recovering, but is doing so much better that I recently asked my DH where he’d like to go once has recovered enough, if money were no object. He didn’t even hesitate: “Disney World!” I was amazed and thrilled.
So now we are planning a trip there, and he is driving me nuts watching YouTube videos of tips and tricks. I’m delighted that we have this to look forward to, but realizing that I still need to get our last trip scrapbooked.
The earliest we could go would be the fall, and everything will be decorated for Halloween. Depending on his recovery and our income, the trip may not be till next year.
The hoped for trip to WDW be our first trip to Disney without kids since we went there for part of our honeymoon. We went to WDW with our kids 4 times over the years, but never just by ourselves. We’re really looking forward to this! I may have questions at some point, especially since I still need to finish scrapbooking our last trip, but for now, I just wanted to see if it’s okay to join in this thread. I’m not a Disney expert, but I’m definitely a Disney fan!

For those planning trips trips to WDW, I highly recommend WDW Prep School, and she has a podcast WDW Prep To Go. So many great tips and her touring plans have been spot on for me.

I usually use Touring Plans and get the discount by purchasing their book for that year. I'm hesitant to do that this year though since everything keeps changing and it's the only time I've planned with the chance for us not to go because of CV. I'll have a look around that site though, because it's not as if more info will hurt, right? Especially with the annoying Genie and Lightning Lanes and different hours... it'll all work out.

the official TV ad underlines the idea of "coming back to life" after 2 years of mostly standing still Wow. That was incredible. How beautiful. As soon as COVID is over we are going to Disney Paris. I will let you know. We were planning a 2020 trip, well, then, you know... DH had to have back surgery in December 2020, then he had a widow maker heart attack in March of 2021 and survived it. This happened to my Dad when he was 50. We are both so lucky! He survived as well and is doing great. He just had a birthday (over 70 now!) and his doctor was very pleased at his most recent appointment. I'm so glad to hear your DH is recovering and wants to go to Disney!! I may have questions at some point, especially since I still need to finish scrapbooking our last trip, but for now, I just wanted to see if it’s okay to join in this thread. I’m not a Disney expert, but I’m definitely a Disney fan! Welcome!! I just joined as well ad I didn't know it existed before recently. I decided to go back and scrap our old trips. I'm starting with our Delta adventure in 2021 then doing the others. I usually use Touring Plans and get the discount by purchasing their book for that year. I second Touring Plans. I don't ever buy the book. I just get it for the personalized plans and the app. I love planning every minute of our days so that I have information and a back up for when things go wrong (and they do! There's always a downpour and you never know when it's going to happen. Or you need to have a rest). I think Halloween is an awesome time to go. In 2018 my best friend and I went on a friends trip and had a blast. We did one day at the Christmas Party and one day at Epcot. This was like the first weekend of December so it wasn't very crowded. My suggestion is to not try to pack everything in but to take your time and pick some must-sees and let the rest flow. That way you can have a restful time while still enjoying it. So excited for you!! News for me: I rummaged through my daughter's sticker bin and pulled out all the Disney. She's a teenager now and doesn't care for stickers like she used to. I struck GOLD and found a sticker the monorail driver gave her. It's very cool. She also had hoarded a bunch of the circle stickers they give you in the parks. We have Disney visa and they are always sending stickers so I have a bunch of those. I'm thinking of doing something cool with those like making a grid on acetate and using those stickers for some spots and photos and ephemera for others. Also, I watched a lot of videos and believe I have figured out Lightning Lane and Genie+ so I can probably answer questions. There's only one thing I'm not sure of and it seems like sometimes with Genie+ they may move your time to earlier if a spot opens up. I am not too into that, as a planner. I need to figure out that a bit more.

I just saw 6X12 page protectors. I had not thought about adding that size to the 9X12.
Can't wait to get started!
If SB.com doesn't get that velvet album in soon, I think I will buy one from Studio Calico.
But Disney demands velvet. Patience.

There was one in December for a short duration. Prior to that it had been a couple months. Lately it’s been like a 5% discount. They usuayhave codes and offers in a banner at the top. Or on the homepage. One benefit to the SC album would be extra rings, so they’re closer together than standard three ring. That could be handy for including things outside the pp. I always find the standard three rings are juuuuuust too far apart for that.

Wow. That was incredible. How beautiful. As soon as COVID is over we are going to Disney Paris. I will let you know. We were planning a 2020 trip, well, then, you know... Definitely let me know! I noticed you followed my dormant DLP account (well, I set it up to share with dawnnikol and Skellinton originally). Makes me sad (and mad, to be honest) that I haven't been able to post anything since late 2019. These daily trips used to rhythm my year. Ugh, this virus, I swear. Fingers crossed for an Omicron booster shot and some sense of ok-ish normalcy afterwards so I can start taking the bullet train again and taking day trips all over the country. Especially Disneyland! scrapnnana I'm so happy your husband continues to get better and now has something to look forward to even if all the WDW videos are driving you a little potty. WDW isn't my home resort so I can't really say but I do think the decorating is limited to the Magic Kingdom. Could be wrong though! I seem to remember from vlogs that it is (mostly?) a Magic Kingdom thing.

I followed you with my real account not the one I post my scrapbook stuff to. I still haven't come out of the closet as a scrapbooker yet. Only my close friends know. Ha. And I am not going to watch that video cause it will make me all kinds of sad. I saw a post in the veg paris disney facebook group about all the treats and they looked good. There's no way we'll make it to Paris for the 30th.
10 minutes later, Edit to add: And then I immediately clicked on it and watched the whole thing...

Whoever bought the PhotoPass could just give you their log in info. Then you can just save them all - I'd recommend this for a desktop computer though, although it would work to save to your phone, too. It's my husband's aunt who has the photo pass. We didn't end up buying it for my husband and daughter.

We didn't end up buying it for my husband and daughter. I assume you were vacationing with them or were there at Disney the same days as they were? If you were in any of the photos, there should be no problem with you asking for the username and password so you can download photos, too, even though the aunt had the photopass. That’s one of the benefits, to get lots of photos of family members who were at the park(s) together. They don’t expect the whole family to be together for every photo taken with the photopass. It’s up to the one who paid for the pass to make the photos available to the others in the family, but that isn’t intended to force everyone in your family to get the photopass. You aren’t doing anything wrong by asking for the username and password so that you can access and download the photos you want from it. The exception would be if you were NOT there at the same time, and you just wanted some of the special photos that are included as a perk of the photopass. For example, I was delighted to get some delightful generic but gorgeous photos of park scenes that were taken without the crowds, or close up of performers from the shows. They were perfectly framed, and nicer than I or anyone else in our group could have gotten, even though we have some decent photographers in the family. When we went in 2017, it was essentially a family reunion. I paid for the photopass, but DS#2 arranged for it, so it went under his name. Everyone in our family group got linked to it, so we all had photos taken through the photopass. The downside was that because DS#2 set it up, it was technically “his” photopass, so he had the username and password. We got it from him, then downloaded the photos we wanted.

I really think it is just Magic Kingdom. And even then I think it's just certain areas. Fall decor would look really weird in Tomorrowland.
