We are staying at the Pop Century. Nothing fancy for me, all I need is a place to sleep and the littles going along will not mind our sparse accommodation. I was considering the Art of Animation, but the sky buckets swayed me back. Hey, it's got a pool, rooms and sky buckets (so never coming at DLP since it's such a small park: we usually walk from our hotel to the entrance. WDW is such a huge beast! WDW summers and heat ( which lasts until October ) is its own special kind of hell. The humidity scares me. I can deal with dry heat but add in some humidity and I'm out of service. My sinuses just go MIA. It doesn't seem to stop tourists however. WDW always seems busy and average wait times are something else. I don't even think about queuing for POTC or Small World here if it's over 10 minutes. We're spoiled, I tell ya. Your Park does a pretty swank Halloween celebration, don’t they? For a European resort, it has become outstanding. It will probably just get a "Did your best" badge from an American perspective, though. Since the WDC got complete control over DLP again, they've made huge steps forward and the Halloween season is a clear favourite of mine now. If you go at the very start of October, you still enjoy that Indian summer weather (whereas a few weeks later, it's super cold and rainy). Weekdays are also quite desert at that time (Booty's pro tips). Coco has been a great addition to the Halloween vibes in Disney parks as well. Can't wait to see how they integrate Phantom Manor for this year's Halloween season now that it has been reopened. If you ever want something to play in the background while crafting or doing housework, here's a 1H overview video of the 2018 Halloween season at DLP (Harvest and Halloween cavalcade begins at about 22:40): I have only gone to WDW at Halloween time which is pretty amazing, but I am really excited to see it Christmasy. I really wonder what they will do for Galaxy’s Edge, I hope to all that is holy that they are celebrating Life Day. My geeky little heart might explode, but oh, it will be worth it. Christmas and Disney is OTP material. I hope you'll get all the geeky magic with the planned events for Galaxy's Edge opening. I'm so going to need in-depth reviews as we'll still be waiting for the works to finish here (they've only just started, eek). Hopefully, all the new lands here are launched in time for DLP's 30th birthday celebration! Skellinton dawnnikol grammadee and all the other Peas visiting one of the US parks: what are your favourite food places there (quick service, table service, buffet, snacks)?

We're doing Caribbean Beach Resort for the Skyliner hub! The unveiling of the wraps has been super fun to watch, check out this if you want to see what I'm talking about: SKYLINERI don't have favorite places to eat at this point, I'm quite the amateur visitor, with the exception of EPCOT during the Flower and Garden. Man, I had the Violet Lemonade and it made me so happy. When we visit this time, we're partially basing our time on the Festival of the Arts at EPCOT. It's fairly new but in checking around it looks right up our alley. Our only ADR will be for Akershus for the Princess Crazy breakfast buffet (hello, Mickey waffle) to hopefully finish up the signature we missed in 2017. I like to plan out the rides / shows, but play it laid back with the food. This time we're also looking forward to closing the parks. We are total Rope Drop people, but that means we're usually in bed early, especially with my kids being as young as they were. This time, we're hoping a quick stop back at the hotel will help so we can close it down. I've already designed the group photo shot shirts (one for Universal and one for DW). I'll order the shirts and vinyl next and then start all the cutting/ironing. ALL THE FREAKING FUN! Do you guys do the shirts/ears/stuff? I know there's loads of people on Etsy who do fancy stuff, but I like that I made it myself, ya know?

Oh, man, the food is just really so good at WDW and DL. Such a change from when the few times I went when I was young. My favorite lunch is Akershus, I love the smorgasbord and the time with the Princesses. The first time we went my nephew was 4 and prior to WDW was TERRIFIED of mascot type characters so we only booked one character lunch and the Princess meal thinking we could remove him if he couldn’t handle Pooh and Co. We thought of course the princesses wouldn’t be scary as they are just humans. Boy, were we wrong. He ended up loving Pooh, but he screamed and hide under the table anytime the “ladies” came near him. Being the aunt and not the parent I found this hi-lar-i-ous!!! His poor mothers were super embarrassed, but it was funny to see him yelp and duck under the table anytime a lady came near us. I am a terrible person, I know, but even so we have a great relationship and I am one of his favorite people despite my laughing at him so hard my cheeks hurt. I think this lasted until our trip when he was 9. That trip I got him to take his picture with Mary Poppins, but it took some coaxing. Ok, back to food, my favorite topic. For AK I like Yak and Yeti, a quick service meal, yummy chicken and rice. The Tusker House is our favorite breakfast spot. I love the characters in their safari duds. HS I love the Sci Fi Dine in. I love the cars, the yummy milkshakes and the amazing old Sci Fi montage that they have going. MK I would have to say the Liberty Tree Tavern and based solely on the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. Epcot is Akershus as I stated above, although if Remy still made the rounds at the French Restaurant that would win hands down. That was such a fun experience! For treats I love France, sleepingbooty I would weigh 500 pounds if I lived in France and the food was half as decadent and delicious as it is in the French Pavillion. The ice cream floats are a wonderfully sinful treat to enjoy after the adults have whisked the children back to the hotel and you are wandering the park alone. I love the chocolate with whipped cream vodka. I do know that is not really a French treat, but the glace’ is delicious. The actual quick service restaurant may be more authentic, the pastries are delicious there. I also love the Karmel Kuchen in Germany. In Epcot for quick service I like Sunshine Tavern, good quick food and the red velvet Whoopie pie is cute and delicious. My favorite snack is the cream cheese filled pretzel found in Tomorrowland. In DL I love the Jolly Holiday Bakery, I love the grilled cheese and soup followed by a Matterhorn Macaroon. For sit down I love the Plaza Inn or Blue Bayou.

I am lucky enough that when I go I am not the ones solely in charge of the little people, so they get whisked away by their parents when the time is right and I just wander alone or with another grownup who slept in while the rest of us are at rope drop. I think only one time did someone make it from start to finish with me. I have some serious Disney stamina that sadly doesn’t carry on to real life. I love that you design and create your own shirts. I think I might do that for our first day of our 2020 trip.

sleepingbootyI get what you mean about the humidity. I seriously have no idea how people live like that. The only saving grace is that the restaurants are very accommodating about giving the beet red lady with frizzy hair ice water pretty quickly when asked for one. I think they are all worried I will be dropping dead from heat stroke at any minute. There is a fair amount of shade there and since I take such a long vacation I can take time to wander the air conditioned stores and exhibits when the sun is really bad. As I said I have only been at the end of September and start of October, I can’t even imagine at peak summer time. I wouldn’t last 5 minutes. If I liked heat, or could at least tolerate it I would live a heck of a lot closer to either Disney Park in the US. California is warm, but Florida is just indescribable, another reason I am choosing to go in December. I can’t wait to watch the video!

sleepingbooty, we usually ate breakfast at the time share, grab fast food at one of the parks, then dinner later at a restaurant or back at the time share. The one place I remember at WDW (other than the rainforest cafe) was the Diamond Horseshoe Inn. Family style dining, and Characters wander through. A bit pricey, but huge portions. And it was a nice break from the heat & humidity and frantic action outside. Worth going once during a vacation.

Great. Another place to obsess about Disney and scrapbooking. ❤️❤️❤️😂 First post. New here. I just bought the Simple Stories 4 Collection. I have all of them, but usually end up using the Project Mouse collections. I just came back from a trip to Disney and can’t wait to scrap it. I scrapbook digitally or use the PL App. Does anyone know if this double page template exists in one place/from one company? I can’t seem to find both pages from the same kit or app. Any help would be appreciated. Happy to be here! http://instagram.com/p/Bw7xLJLDI6V

jenn I have some things going on today (not quite 8 am here) but I'll check later this evening to see if I have something. The colors of the template you posted lead me to think it's a BH/PL product. I only have one BH/PL digital kit. It's the FREE Digital Project Life Cherry Edition and it's similar to the one you posted. But of course the "cards" have the dreaded rounded corners! Do you use Photoshop Elements? If so, it would be fairly easy to make the template you're looking for. As mentioned I will see if I have something or I'll try to modify something I already own.

OK, I had a chance to play around with PSE today. Rather than me re-inventing or you purchasing it...If you go to the BH website and click Shop, then Digital, click on the Freebies section, on page 3 there is an item called Project Life Squared Away 16. If you download that you can easily modify the template to make it look like the one pictured. I did it in a few minutes by hiding the center layer, duplicating another layer 4 times and moving the clipping mask for each of the new layers to the desired spot. And the download has square or rounded corners. The first page you posted is a little trickier to get the spacing right, but it was fairly easy, too.
I hope this helps!
I'm sorry but I just don't feel comfortable modifying someone else's template (even though it is a freebie) and sending to others to use.

Can't decide whether I'm a worse documenter or Disney fan: I didn't buy myself any souvenirs, I didn't wear Minnie ears or a special tee (they're very rare around here, dawnnikol , whenever we do see a family wearing matching tops, we know they're either American or British), I forgot to take pictures for most of my visit, I gave serious villain face with raised eyebrows and all to a little girl who was being a d*ck to another girl in line, I wanted to take a nap in the afternoon and really considered dozing off on a terrace with a glass of wine, I skipped anything that was more than 25min wait time, I meh-ed the quick service food (despite the huge portions) and vowed to go back to a proper restaurant next time because hashtag French and I was over it by the end of the day (too many little kiddos not being in school, double u tee eff). But I had a great time! 5 MINUTES WAIT TIME AT BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN WHEN WE ENTERED THE PARK (you bet we did it three times in a row and felt very much wide awake for the rest of the day after that). KP sneaks on IG show that it's just a 3x4 stamp set and I'm a little disappointed. On the other hand, I did get a sneak email from Everyday Explorers and Christine is apparently releasing a Disney park theme stamp set in her shop (not sure when because there are 7 new sets coming over two releases but the first few drop in early June). Sneak shows a ticket stamp with castle and ferris wheel that reads "Favorite place on earth."

WHERE HAVE YOU SEEN THE SNEAK FOR THE OTHER!? I specifically followed them for any possible park sneaks and I apparently missed it! Good grief. I love it. You are kinda fired for the lack of scrapbooking material, unless you have gone to the Dark Side a la BH and have decided you are too cool for us now? I gave serious villain face with raised eyebrows and all to a little girl who was being a d*ck to another girl in line I love that. I always give stink eye to mean people, even when they're smaller humans. They all need to learn to be kind. I did enjoy your photos on IG / videos. The fish and chips were totally drool worthy. They sound a whole lot better than the ones I had in EPCOT. Cue the tiny violin.

I’m really interested in hearing how the Skyliners work out in the heat. I heard they have no air conditioning and just use the vented windows at the top and the light reflective wrapping for temp control. I live in Florida and to me they look like cute little ovens in the sky.
Please come back and update us if anyone gets to ride in one this summer. And by summer I mean Florida summer, anytime now till November. Lol

WHERE HAVE YOU SEEN THE SNEAK FOR THE OTHER!? I specifically followed them for any possible park sneaks and I apparently missed it! Good grief. It was in a newsletter sent earlier this week (Christine's sneaks are usually via newsletter)! Let me get you a screen grab... There are seven new stamp sets coming to her shop, a couple of which are 6x8 (the rest should all be 4x6 since she doesn't do 3x4). Releases will be done over the next two months, first release coming June 4th. hahahahaha, silly Americans and Brits. I love it. You are kinda fired for the lack of scrapbooking material, unless you have gone to the Dark Side a la BH and have decided you are too cool for us now? Aww, I have soft spot for the families with the matching T-shirts though! I'd love it if Oh My Disney could come up with some cool couple tees featuring iconic Disney lovers. A design that would be completed if both wearers were to stand right next to each other or something... *throws money at Disney* And don't you worry: I am so *not* going down the Becky route... No crying on Instagram amidst anti-SB claims! I have loads of paper products set aside for my 2019 Disney album (just need some stamps now). The fish and chips were totally drool worthy. They sound a whole lot better than the ones I had in EPCOT. Cue the tiny violin. Cue an even tinier violin for me because despite having some really decent quick service food, I was lamenting not having table service and the restaurant experience. What a brat! Any of you have characters you now love because of how they are in the park(s)? Every time I see Captain Hook walk by to go to a meet 'n greet, he stops to wave hello and bow back at me. Donald Duck is probably one of my favourites to see around the park: always so cheery and funny whereas I used to view him more as a grumpy duck before. Then there's the very cheeky Baloo we have at Disneyland Paris. His shenanigans crack me up: :

DD12 went to Universal yesterday on a school field trip and took photos !!! She didn't bring her good camera (I said not to) so they're just on her (deactivated) old phone so hopefully they came out - I need to remember how to download them. She brought me back a map and a postcard pack (ouch on the price - when I suggested a postcard I was thinking A postcard but apparently that doesn't exist)

Years and years ago when planning our first WDW trip, I spent hours making ADR's and putting together touring plans. My dh complained loudly and often that he didn't want to go on a 'scripted' vacation. I told him that it was the only way to do it. After our second day there, he was so grateful for all the planning I did in advance. Even back then, it made life so much easier.
Now I'm trying to plan a trip for extended family and it's a chore. Disney has made it so complicated. The days of just showing up at a park and hoping to ride rides is over IMO. I get that it helps them with crowd control and staffing needs, but it's a maze.

The only time they could get hot were if there was a problem and they had to be stopped, but these exact models have been running at ski lifts in Europe without trouble for years. I went on one last year and they were comfortable to sit in even with 8 adults.

I'm glad that Disney aren't adding AC to this system: the planet's already in a bad enough state as it is. Passive ventilation is the way to go wherever and whenever possible.

So my daughter is going next week to Disney world with the band to play and have fun for a week. And my youngest is heartbroken because she’s no longer in public school and won’t get to go like we had planned. She was crying her eyes out last night with jealousy that her sister had the Chan e to earn this trip and she won’t. So I did a quick price search, realized it can be done for a reasonable priced and told my husband. And he said “book it”. I videoed him telling her!!! We’re going as a family probably in July but I cNt decide if we should before or after band camp. So either first week of July or last week. We will be driving and staying on sight. I plan to have a pool/resort relaxation day too, and probably 3 days in park, maybe 4. Anyways I’m so excited to plan it out and book our fast passes! The school actually explained it so it’s not so daunting now!!

Yes, it is a BH template...I created that image by piecing together different templates real quickly in the Over App. It doesn't exist in the way I've shown. I just modified some of my own templates (recently bought some cute ones from Gennifer Bursett) in PSE to recreate it and that works, but I sure would love the app to come out with more templates, specifically this. I can not believe there's not a 3x3 square one. There is a 4x4, but not a 3x3. Thanks so much for trying, guys, I really appreciate it! If any of you are app scrappers, I co-admin a group on Facebook called Simply Project Life. Check it out if you're interested.

I’m letting some of the fast passes be a surprise to my 15 yo and the food a surprise for my husband. I know what they’ll like so they are excited to just go, they don’t know how much I’m obsessing over it! 38 days!!

I like some of Elle's stuff, but I can't get into the scripty font(?) on everything. The stamp set might have to come to my house though after seeing a 2nd sneak on IG.

I think I like the simple stories lines better and the price point too. Holy crap! I went to the site to check out the stamp more (I'd only seen the sneak and didn't realize it released today) and MAN! $24 for a stamp and it's mostly that scripty stuff. Their acrylic albums don't look too shabby, but I'm not a 4x6 album person at all. :x
