I was a little surprised he was allowed to play the real idol after he tried to use the fake one. I would have thought only one per tribal for some reason. But that was awesome! Ive been rooting for him for awhile I am not a fan of Aurora's!! You can definitely play more than one idol at a TC. Pavarti did it. And didn’t Malcolm play multiple idols as well?

I wasnt rooting for Devens in the beginning but I really kinda like him... I think if he can make it he will for sure win... I dont think anyone left has done enough... maybe Gavin because he has friends and maybe Laura because shes been the underdog since the merge and she also has friends...
It was such a g9un tribal.... the last couple have been really good.... this is the kind of survivor I like...

So glad to see Ron gone, especially in this way. When they showed him talking once again about how he's running the show I figured he was going to be the one to go. The last time he talked about being the puppet master is when things fell apart for his alliance and he was suddenly faced with reality. He let himself get cocky again and it bit him in the butt once again. I can't stand the way he played the game. I had never heard of him before this season but when I heard people saying they were excited to see him because he did this great thing with a school I thought I'd probably like him. Nope. I certainly hope he's never asked to be on a future season.

Ive been rooting for him for awhile I am not a fan of Aurora's!! There have definitely been tribals when multiple idols have been played by one person. I remember poor Cirie getting eliminated in a tribal without any votes because she was the only one without some sort of protection.

At the end of the show Jeff was reading the names and it was the wrong name with the wrong ballot, around the 7:54 mark Same Person Rick Devens

I am so excited. Not going to lie.....it was so cool that i looked at my son and said I need to watch that again, and I went back to watch it again.
Rons face was priceless......I’m so glad Rick is smart and talks about things at tribal. He did great on the show when they went against Julia and last night was terrific because they know he is the outsider and people are doing a lot to get him out. If he stays.....he 100% deserves the title!!
I think Victoria would have a good resume. She had been playing smart with making moves towards certain players at certain times. I just think it has been too on the downlow. Every player with the exception of Aurora has been very low key at this point. Aurora has been on peoples list almost everytime there is a vote. She would be the only one I wouldn’t take!
My big hope is that Rick gets another idol and figures out a way to be safe. I’m stumped as to why he is running around next week!! .

I thought someone just wrote a first name instead of the last name like the others. Was there something else? The ballot said RICK and he said DEVENS. Same person. Lol oh my goodness I’m an idiot....

I hadn't heard of him either and when someone started that thread earlier this season about Ron asking if anyone was excited to see him I thought he would be good to root for. Nope don't care for him and I loved tribal last night.

And can I say this......I’m a crier. I cry over everything. It’s how I operate JULIE PUTS ME TO SHAME. Her crying when he husband walked out was OVER THE TOP. I don’t think she got to talk to him because she cried the whole time!!!

Is it me (and DH) seem to think that the loved one episodes are a little over the top sometimes.. I mean it's been less that a month at this point since they have seen a family member... Especially siblings. I mean I have gone 6 weeks to 2 months without seeing DH and when we do, it's like "Hey there" with a hug and quick kiss.. lol. I told DH next time you roll into town I am giving you a Survivor welcome back home episode. I am going to full out cry and carry on.. hahaha...
I do get it that they are a little under pressure playing the game and so forth.. but still sometimes I do roll my eyes.. heehee

Physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. Then to see someone they love, all that pent up emotion just comes out. I do find that in some situations Ron really overplays the part. Last night, I can't remember whether it was during the loved ones visit, but he turned to Lauren and just kind of hung on her. It looked like a calculated move to endear himself to her. Or I could be full of crap.

Boston Rob did an interview and discussed how emotionally drained you are from always trying to be pivotal in every alliance, but a Julie’s crying was more than that to me. It was like nails on a chalkboard, over the top nerve grating. Ron...... I’ve said many times gave me a snake in the grass feeling the longer the show goes along. EOE..... I hope they allow the player to get back in, but with them getting so low in numbers I’m wondering if the last challenge will be “Win this, and your in Final 3”. If that is the case then they will not win because I don’t think they have played the true survivor experience and I can’t see them getting votes.

You might not see your DH for weeks, but you can text/call him pretty much whenever you want. Dalton's Recap this week is really good. Especially talking about how Devens handled the challenge: and Aurora's relationship with her brother:

I'm always amazed & impressed that people can remember so many details from season to season. I can barely remember what happens at the beginning of the current season! Half the time I only minimally remember returning players. I really should go back & rewatch all of the survivors again some day - but who has the time!

leslie132 I really hope the EoE player doesn't automatically get in final 3... They have had all this time to bond with those players... especially if it's Joe... I like joe.. a lot... I was rooting him on from the beginning... But to put him in the final against whoever actually wins the way there Devens. Gavin or Aurora for winning immunity or Lauren cuz she still has her hidden idol and has not had to use it yet... and that "winning" person picks Julie or Victoria because they are beatable... then Joe or whoever wins from EoE gets the 3rd place spot... I see Joe or Kelley taking it all....the others EoE players is effy but those 2 I think could win this game just because of the kinda targets they had... It all of course depends on if Aurora or Devens can actually make to the end... I think Gavin Victoria n Lauren are still trying to get them out.. and that worries me.... I've been on team Aurora as long as I've been on team joe... lol and I really like lauren... I dont think she has done anything mean... but I dont think she has a strong "resume"..

I don’t want EOE to go that way either. I hope they bring them in soon so if there is a chance to build a resume they can. I agree that Kelly and Joe are great players, but they haven’t had the chance to really dig in and make a case for themselves. David or WarDog are the ones I think may be the ones who could get points. WarDog because while he is demanding and bossy, really worked at his schemes. He got Kelly voted off. David because he made the move to send the advantage to Devens, and that kept his “alliance” safe when he could have been a target. David made a smart play from EOE. I don’t think anyone else has recently?!? Aurora thinks she is in that alliance, but they are going to blindside her if they can. Truly.....Gavin, Lauren and Victoria have had quiet games so far. They would be very even balanced as a final 3. I would think Victoria is more deserving, because she was an initiator in some of the bigger moves. Lauren has made it through merger, and kept her idol, but she isn’t putting much talk in at tribal. That would be a dull Final 3 IMO! It’s very interesting at this point. I just hope Devens can hang on! I’d like to see him win!

Hi all. I thought this was a very good episode. I love that we have a reward challenge—I get so mad when they don’t have them; they’re the best part! Of course they had one for the loved one challenge. I agree with others who weighed in on why the survivors get so emotional at the loved ones challenge. It’s NOT just about being away from your loved one for a few weeks; we call ALL do that. It’s being away from them while living under very rough conditions, starving, covered with bug bites, p,aging fir a million dollars with a group of people you do t know from one moment to the next if you can trust them or if they’re ready to put a knife in your back. On top of that, you aren’t just away from your loved one, you are completely cut off from them and from the world actually—noohone calls, texts, emails, news. It’s a perfect storm of paranoia and vulnerability. I don’t deny them a bit of their tears and emotions. So, the loved one reward challenge, I know having just said how much they have to miss their loved ones, I still think once I got that moment to see and hug them, I would want to throw this challenge. People get so upset when they are denied this reward. The person who wins it has to make some tough choices and it always puts a target on their back. Cocky Ron though felt he didn’t need to worry since “he’s running the show”. And that’s another thing, how do these super fans not know as soon as they think they’re running the show, and especially say it out loud,it’s the kiss of death? Dumbarse! Aurora is not a very likable person. First there’s the bargaining talk while one of the survivors has fallen and is unconscious, then there’s the unfiltered way she speaks to people and now it’s the openly searching Devin’s bag and then having no finesse when she’s caught. I feel for her and have to wonder if growing upon the foster system contributed to her poor social game. I’m thinking yes. She’s one tough cookie though and I gotta admire her for that. I have to give credit to Devins for continuing to search for the HII, even though he supposedly already had one from Ron. That was an awesome midnight idol recover. No one can say he isn’t playing to win. He’s got an even bigger target now, especially after watching the jury react to his show at TC. They were dancing, laughing, just full of glee. What happened to those somber staring your also the past...lol? I was a little surprised he was allowed to play the real idol after he tried to use the fake one. I would have thought only one per tribal for some reason. But that was awesome! Ive been rooting for him for awhile I am not a fan of Aurora's!! You can definitely play more than one idol at a TC. Pavarti did it. And didn’t Malcolm play multiple idols as well? I have to say, I did wonder about the multiple idol playing myself. Yes,we’ve seen multiple idol playing before, but it was different. They were all played at once—“Jeff, I want to play this idol on Natalie and this one on Amanda...”. This was different. This was playing one bogus idol on yourself, finding out it was no good and THEN getting the opportunity to play another one. I was not sure that would go. I don’t think we e ever see that before. I’m glad he could because the shade he was able to throw on several players and the look on Ron’s face were priceless. When Devins first played the real HII, Ron kindof nodded his head like, yes, I knew this was a possibility. Good thing my masterminding self told him to vote for Aurora. When the first votes starting popping up for him, that’s when it got awesome! Oh an I’m just going to say again, this EoE is not making me happy. For one thing, I think it’s interfering with my enjoyment because at this point I usually just have a handful or two people to concentrate on. Now I still have all of them. Plus, I really, really miss my Ponderosa footage. I always look so forward to that when it starts. Okay, off to read Dalton now.

I'm late responding due to migraines but I loved this episode. I was thrilled that Ron got voted out but did you all notice that it was Lauren's vote and Gavin's double vote that got him out? I was hoping that Victoria was going to stick to her word that she made with Lauren and vote against Ron too but she didn't. I was so very glad that Gavin did make the choice to use that double vote against Ron even though during the show they showed him voicing the thought that he might not due to the fact that Ron gave him the reward of spending time with his wife. Luckily Gavin's brain kicked in and he saw that Ron was the best choice and that tribal that night was the best time to get Ron out.
I didn't like Ron either for the reasons everyone else mentioned and I didn't know him before Survivor.
I haven't really been a Rick Devens fan but last night I became one. He played amazingly well and I do realize he has had to fight to stay in this game for a long time (not to mention coming back in) and he's been able to pull it off each time even with the entire tribe plotting to get him out. I still like Lauren and Gavin too. Victoria is losing favor with me. She did a great move getting Audrey out early but I don't remember her doing much after that. Lauren seems to be holding her own and with the focus on getting Aurora or Rick out next she might just be able to hang in there for awhile longer especially with that idol in her pocket. She seems to come so close to winning (she was just beat out on the immunity challenge by whoever it was that won it-can't remember now) and then comes in second or third place.
So who's left now? Rick Devins, Aurora, Victoria, Gavin and Lauren. Am I missing anyone? Wow-we are getting down to it. And one person returning from EOI on day 35-we think it will be day 35. I'l be happy if Gavin and/or Lauren make it to the end. If Rick does he will win it so I'm not hoping for that selfishly because I want excitement in the end.

I haven't liked her since almost the beginning when 2 people on her tribe were looking for the immunity idol and she knew it-she turns to the woman next to her and says, "why aren't we looking for the idol?" and they discuss why they aren't looking and continue with whatever it was they are doing without looking for it! And to that her constant crying which started I believe because she was on the tribe that won challenge after challenge and the one time they didn't include her on a vote she cries and cries and freaks out about it-and the crying has continued on and on. I agree with you. I think whoever makes it to the end will want to take her as a goat.
