Thrift store shopping trip this week I found some fossil design rubbing plstes to try on my gelli plate and a refill for my Kokuyo dot glue runner for only $ .50! Not a big haul but a good one.

I got a ream of Neenah 110 pound weight cardstock for $1.00 today! The package was opened and it did have some marks around the edges, but it wasn't bent and the front of each paper is fine. I can always ink edges if I use them for cards. There was a three pack of liquid glue for $5.00. I wish I could remember the name right now, but I know it's used in crafts. I wasn't sure if it was worth a purchase or not.

I found a 2003 Stampin' Up set called "In the Outback" featuring Australian animals (kangaroo, koala, kookaburra, crocodile, platypus) and . . . a giant anteater. I thought maybe someone randomly stuck it in, but no, it was originally part of the set. Strange.
The anteater was the main reason I bought it, since it was my college mascot (zot!). Now I'm going to go back to my college scrapbook and do some stamping 😊
The other stamps will come in handy if I ever finish scrapping my trip to Australia.

I bought an iris case full of beach related stickers for $10 from Goodwill. There were all brands and I can certainly use them, so I thought it was a good if not great deal.
I picked up a 7x7 CM album to resell on a CM site. I paid about $4.25 and I'll try to double it.
I also picked up a CIS Paper Taker for $6 and I'm selling it for $12. Someone else gets a good deal and I get to have money for other finds. Around here they go for about $25 but I don't want to hang on to it so a lady at my crop said she wants it.
I see so many 12x12 post bound albums and album kits but no one seems to want them these days.

This summer I found a 30 slot ink holder at an Arc. I love it and have it almost full. I went back to the store to look for frames for a project and thought what if I found another? You know 3 months later. Ha! I did, but this one holds 60 inks. Not sure if I can use it, but it was so fun to find.

Had great luck at the thrift stores this week. Picked up 5 large wood mounted stamps, lots of aged paper and paper doilies for journals, A big bag of cardstock/ PP, a roll of kraft paper, postcards, books and even some antiques. Good thing I worked this week to pay for my shopping spree.

Found a box of vintage office rubber stamps at an indoor flea market. They were more expensive than I would usually pay but I picked up a “bonded locksmith” stamper. I am tempted to return for some more, perhaps I can get a discount on the whole lot? Picked up a pile of cheap vintage paper for my collection and collaging/journals.

If anyone is in the market for SU stamp sets checkout the antique malls, Goodwill and FB Marketplace. I have seen soooo many for sale in the last few weeks.

Remember that big box of office stampers I found a while back at the flea market? Well, this weekend they were marked down and then the vendor offered me the whole box for less than a $1 each! Of course I said yes. She offered me vintage ephemera for $1 each too. My lucky day! Picked up a large SU background stamp and another large sentiments set at Goodwill. I have seen so many bags of stamps in the past three months. Attachments:

I went to Goodwill on Monday and someone’s paper crafting stash was donated. I spent $165 for over 170 stamp and dies including stacking dies. All major companies and brands. This woman had everything very organized too. Everything was in a sleeve with a label of the company and name of the stamp set. Just like how JM organize her stamps and dies. Was a major score!

Most people can't wait for spring to arrive so they can start their gardens. I can't wait because outdoor flea markets reopen! They have forever ruined antique store/ebay shopping for me. I can't shop there anymore without thinking "if I'm patient I will find it eventually at the flea market/thrift store for much cheaper".

It's a spiny anteater, only found in Australia and New Guinea.

Had to explain to a seller what the die cut machines she had (new in box) and the big box of Anna Griffin embossing folders/dies were used for. They had no clue. Then the seller across the aisle had an old but new in box cutter and tried to tell me it was worth $110. I said no way.

A bunch of our stores closed - our town has none now (used to have 3). So I'm waiting for tag sales and flea markets to come, thankfully our area is open this year for them!

Resurrecting this thread because I stumbled upon an awesome deal! I went to the thrift store to replace a couple of broken bowls and very chipped plates. I had time, so decided to browse the other aisles. Mixed in with 8.5x11 binders was a WRMK 12x12 album with LOTS of page protectors for $1.00! It was used for a painting business for kids. Like those wine and paint classes for adults. It was full of photos of paintings. I kept a few of them. My favorite was of the Sanderson sisters.
I rarely find anything crafty worth purchasing. There were quite a few rubber stamps, but they seemed to be circa 1990's.

I've never noticed crafting items at my local thrift stores. Maybe that's more due to a lack of crafters in my area?

I found some OCTOBER AFTERNOON chipboard a few days ago at Value Village. They also had lots of 12x12 paper, CTMH Stamps, PL cards, etc. I think a scrapbooker made a large donation.

I haven't posted here in quite a while because I haven't found much crafty at the flea market or Goodwill that wasn't Close to My Heart or Stampin up. My last time at the flea market this season I hit the motherload!
One seller was a crafter/seller purging her stash. Tons of beads, paints, stencils, scrapbook paper. Boxes and boxes full of supplies. I came away with several pads of TH paper, some cool botanical hand made paper, several large rubber stamps, rub-ons that still work and a stack of reprints from an antique magazine for $12. Then I bought a large box of vintage lay away tags for JJs. But the best deal of the day was the man selling a HUGE stack of BASIC GREY paper packs for $1 each!!!! The packs had 12x12 PP, 6x6 pads and embellishments. Yes, I bought almost all of it! I still can't believe my good luck. What a way to finish off a rather disappointing crafty thrifting season.

I was at my local thrift store yesterday and they had 2 brand new Scrapbook.com 9x12 albums for 1.99 each. One is a pretty blue and the other red, I was very excited to get them both, they are in perfect condition and still wrapped up.

I can finally post a thrifty find. The lady kept a few things, but I bought all of her mother in law's craft supplies...the only thing she kept that I really wanted was the SU cardstock. It was a bargain. Would have loved a better deal, but I'm quite happy for all this for $200. Hundreds of loose stamps, maybe 100 SU stamp sets, SU and other inks, some refills, all sorts of accessories and what I went there for to begin with: a hundred or so punches. Lady said she didn't think they'd sell at a garage sale. I think she was wrong. Might try and sell a few stamp sets if there are enough HTF ones to make my money back. It looks like less in the boxes, but there is so much here!! http://instagram.com/p/Ch5OwdYP3oO
