I duuno guys, I'm just not feeling the AE kit. It seems all over the place to me. 8 different shades of green. The watercolor foliage (which I love) doesn't mix with the funky trees or the weird star ornaments (seriously, those wonky stars make me cringe). Cork needs to go away and glitter trees? It seems to be a hot mess. I was really hoping this year would be easy to pick out supplies. Guess that's not going to happen. I do like the Elle's Studio kit, mostly that it's cohesive, I just don't LOVE it.

I’m not feeling AE much myself either. I do like the gold letters. I like my DD to feel “special”, different, prettier than what I scrap usually. I’m still leaning heavily towards MME’s Yuletide.

Agree... at first I wondered if the kids kit stuff got mixed in with the main kit stuff? Just, ugh.

It’s like a rehash of the last 5 years, none of it goes, those reverse wooden words, hello, 2013 called and it wants it’s embellishments back. The Christmas tree card looks just like pink fresh lime from 2 christmases ago. Hot mess express for sure. |

I hope we get a sneak of the Paislee Press/ Liz T. mini kit. I used one a couple years ago instead of a main kit, and when I look back, I really love it.

Agree with everyone about the AE kit.
I think what we are seeing is that groups of 3 (visual triangle), repetition, and funky handwriting does not make a good designer. One really needs a good eye for designing, and I am just not convinced that Ali has that. That.. or she isn’t putting the work into the kits and it is showing. Working at your desk for 2 hours a day (per WITL page) might not be enough at this point with a million releases.

My Elizabeth Crafts ordered arrived today - super fast shipping. I'm so glad I decided to order, I can see myself using a good chunk of what I ordered. I suppose it would have been more practical to attempt to cut on my Silhouette, but I've never been practical with my craft purchases, lol. I seem to use the Silhouette as a last resort.

I seem to use the Silhouette as a last resort. I do too I wouldn’t see why? I do like the ‘pressed’ edge look of die cuts but not really enough that I shouldn’t use my silhouette. Good news, I’ve used my silhouette more since I unpacked it in May that since it was gifted to me so at least I’m improving. It’s my go to for titles ( so I never use my letter stickers/thickets ) lol |

I'm glad Ali has moved away from the dingy colours she seems to love so much. I don't care that I could purchase some of the artwork and make my own cards/papers. I just want to buy a (loosely) co-ordinated kit and add to it with a few of my favourite things from other new collections and my stash. It doesn't sound like too many peas are loving it though, which means I may be able to grab it without getting up in the middle of the night when it goes on sale!  |

They were conservative due to tariffs and apparently there’s an issue with the album mold. So those will be scarce for sire. |

Good sleuthing on finding that digital art, sleepingbooty! I was wandering around Creative Market yesterday looking for similar things, I have made a small collection here if you, like me, are a sucker for watercolour leaves.
I'm liking the colours in Ali's kit so far, they feel fresher than kits in the past. Can do without the potato prints though.

I love this one! I think it'd be perfect for someone like me who never finishes a DD or who has a more slim effect to their album. Another words...someone who has great intentions but never...well, you know lol! Hey nicolep , no shame in your DD game! If daily hasn't worked for you in the past, let it go. I think in terms of chapters and plan ahead. That seems to help a lot. What chapters are you planning on documenting this December? Get your list written out, pen a few photo ideas down, focus on printing loads of 6x8 photos (great way to see all the details and make a statement anyway), and try to stick to one spread per chapter. Chapters for my December documenting this year include: the tree (picking + decorating in one spread), Enchanted Christmas season at Disneyland Paris, cosy times at home (home décor + favourite films and perhaps holiday mug if I pick one up), gift buying + wrapping, the last prep (final groceries + cooking before our big Christmas dinner), Christmas in the city (décor + Christmas market), Christmas with my family, roadtrip to my SO's family's home, second Christmas at my SO's family, New Year's Eve party, 1st of January, Epiphany celebration. That's it. Nothing more to stress about. If you buy one of those universal 2-ring albums like that cute Carta Bella red truck one, you can buy vertical 4x6 inserts from Simple Stories to add a few extra photos or ephemera to your chapters/spreads! It seems to be a hot mess. The sneak photos so far are weird and disjointed in terms of colour scheme (especially the bright vs soft) and aesthetic (polar opposites on the spectrum). So, Crate Paper isn’t announcing their Christmas line until October. Going to hope that I love it as I am only going to grab something from KP if I love anything and CP. I usually grab the Paislee Press mini kit, but if it’s her digital set from last year’s release I must pass.

OMG I'm so excited. Got my order of Steven Duncan Merry Christmas from scrapbook.com today. I bought all the things🤗...couldn't help myself.
It's SO awesome. lol Completely reminds me of my grandparents and parents,when I was a tiny little kid. I love it. Can't wait to use it.
