I was supposed to camp this weekend but DD wasn't feeling well so we stayed home. So I'm scrapping instead Hmmmm, camping or staying home to scrap? I know which one I'd much prefer to do. (Hint: It's not camping! ) I love your layout with your husbands selfies, so funny! The quote is perfect and the title with the gorgeous patterned papers looks great.

Hmmmm, camping or staying home to scrap? I know which one I'd much prefer to do. (Hint: It's not camping! ) Yeah - me too but DD13 loves to camp so...a few times a year, I take one for the team. (but sometimes I send DH instead - esp. between May and Sept when it's HOT) Thanks - I had fun with the selfies (and obviously so did he). The title is KI Memories Alphasets from 2005 - glad to have a place to use them

I almost forgot to share yesterday's card. I only managed to finish one all day, it was finicky. (I had a more productive day today - pictures in the morning). Doodlebug die cuts on fun foam, a patterned paper background, swiss dot snowbank freehand cut, with a vellum ice rink + some Wink of Stella for extra pizzazz. Wow! I went away for a day and this place EXPLODED! I need to come back and leave some love... But first, I want to share a few things I have been working on. Will share them in the order in which they came together: This one I had mostly assembled on Friday, but needed to change the orientation of one photo and reprint another one (which I did yesterday). My oldest dgd is in her final year of high school and this was the dress and the nails she chose for this first grad event of the season (a dinner cruise). I wanted to make this a special page with some sparkle to match her outfit. But the title comes from looking at my ds's expression in her photo with him. Suddenly realizing your little girl is growing up is hard for Dad, I think! Ready or not by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Next are two pages I did yesterday as part of a mixed media class at our LSS. I switched up the colours a little so I could use my photos. I don't do well putting together pages without photos and have a ton of photoless LO's in a drawer, so I wanted to make sure I could use at least these two pages. Came home last night and added the Nuvo drops on the flowers, and this morning I added the photos and title stickers. Colourful Summer by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And here are some fun pages I put together this morning. I have had this idea for awhile but had not quite figured out how to do the open shapes. The LSS lady had used a frame cut by welding a couple of Cricut frames together and I realized, "Oh yeah, I have a Silhouette" LOL. Figured out how to do this by creating shapes and then double offsets and taking out the middle shape. Once I had the shapes cut, these pages came together really quickly. imagination at PLAY by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Points for Ready or Not: two pages created & shared (4), #7 Four photos scrapped (4), #8 two generations (1), #15 three pp's per page (2), #23 flower cluster (1), #24 decorative twine (1), #28 fifty + words (5), #31 flowers with gem centres (2), #41 love my ds and my dgd (2), #50 a couple of scraps of pp (2), #51 date stamp (1), #59 banner (1), #60 three word title (2), #61 MME cut apart (1), #64 date stamp (1), #65 rectangles (2), #66 square pages (2), #73 5x7 photo (1), #82 journaling (1), #83 stickers (2). These are the cards I made yesterday. I love these bears and the teal/blue is my favorite color. Hoping the twine works and doesn't look weird! More Doodlebug Christmas cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr Doodlebug paper, border sticker (the scallop) and die cuts. Some of these papers are easier to work with than others! I originally planned to use a "jingle all the way" sentiment, but I started thinking about how Jingle Bells is all about snow and a one HORSE open sleigh, and then I remembered that that song was originally a fall/Thanksgiving song, and actually doesn't mention anything Christmasy at all... not that any of that would matter, but the sentiment I ended up using made more visual sense anyway. More Doodlebug Christmas cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr Old SC stars on Doodlebug die cuts and background paper. Might add some little enamel dot baubles on the trees, but maybe simple is OK...? cute cards joblackford. I think the twine works great! Love the rabbithole you went down witH jingle...the reindeer are cute but not horses, lol. The stars are the perfect touch on those cards - I think you can go either way with enamel dots - looks great without but I'm sure adding would be fine too

Love for page 5: I think I caught everyone on Flickr except for Linda . How fun to scrap the snapchat photos! Love how you offset the mat for the title block. Love the cs strips on the Canada Geese page, and the vellum makes an interesting mat. Love the top of the Journey page--the circle, the tucked in card, the suitcase--really inventive. And on to page 6... Linda, your style is very simple, but I love how every page has some unique element. Great use of the grey & white colour scheme in Go Get Lost. The airplane pp is perfect for the Take it IN page. Love the stacked pieces on the PL card at the bottom. Cute little western pieces on the Rodeo page. The cake panel is really cute on the 12! page, and I like how it is balanced by the little party hat. How sweet of the siblings to check in with their sister on her special day. Love the little oriental take out container on that LO. I like the switch to patterned paper for the Belated Birthday page, yet that you kept the photo block separate and distinct with the cs mat. And even with the eyes blocked off, it is plain to see the relationship between the sisters. Good job, Mum! I am off to Flickr to leave comments there for the rest of the creations on this page.

Linda, your husband’s edited selfies are so funny. Perfect funny page. ~ I love the strips and vellum you used on your geese page. So pretty. ~ Those are beautiful dogs with your DH. I would love to know the story behind them. Great page. Love the paw prints.~ Those are beautiful museum pages. I love the great shot you have of the model planes. The silhouettes of planes are a great touch. ~ I love those cloud photos on take it in. As fire lookouts we had to take cloud reading numerous times a day, so I love all clouds. Beautifully scrapped.~ I love the cowboy hat and horseshoe. Those brown tones are perfect for a Rodeo page. ~ Cute birthday pages. That heart shaped dessert looks tasty. I love the way you used the View Master reel in the center of your page with lots of colors that match your photos.~ Your sweet Love page just reminds me of how my youngest 2 girls were always joined at the hip and had a tough time separating. Although in different states now, they still keep in close touch. Tender page.~ I love your Live in the Sunshine page. The opposite, grid design is such a nice look. You do such great double page spreads. I think I caught up with everyone else in the gallery. I still have a few card threads to check and then I'll be up to date.

A couple of quick pages for today. My dgd sent me these pic's from their class dinner cruise. I found a piece of wavey paper in my scrap bin and when I looked at the back of it, I realized I had a bigger sheet in the drawer with all my Summer papers. Then I hit the Travel bin and located some LYB pp's from 2009 and some stickers whose packaging has long since been gone. I did it! I went to Las Vegas and I scrapped it in the same month! We are not gamblers or drinkers so here is what I scrapped:
Too many photos, so added an interactive flap:
Sights around Vegas Downtown
and the craziness of Fremont Street
I still have photos from the actual all class reunion to scrap, and several Hoover Dam layouts to do . . . but I have the paper and we will see if we have the time!

Once you get it all you should have to do is click on it and it should open right into your Silhouette. I hope

Gotta share laptop woes: My laptop died several months ago. So I'm using DH's laptop. His batter is toast, has to be plugged in 100% of the time. The connection is loose. If it gets jiggled - by a hand or a cat - the computer just "poof" shuts off. This has happened to me THREE times while commenting in the past 2 days! Argh!!! grammadee - your "colorful summer" layout made me draw in a breath. Wow is that AMAZING. Except...how much does the spelling bug you I'm going to the gallery for more commenting joblackford, really fab job with all the cards. The deer are my fave because the layering really makes them feel like they are talking together gramma - adorable lions and tigers, and again I'm so in awe that you support the troups this way! I'll comment more in the gallery, but WOW to "Sarahs first job", that is staying on theme! angel97701, oh my goodness you did some great work getting all those photos scrapped. I love your use of the pps you picked up in Vegas, adds to the memory and they add great detail without overwhelming. The lift flap is brilliant! linda, I really enjoy how you pick colours and choice embellishments for each page. You use muted and bright colours equally well and your photo placements are great!

I second guess my own spelling all the time, but try to stay true to my Canadian roots. That premade puffy sticker word was too pretty NOT to use, though, so I will just imagine the u there. BTW I can’t take much credit for the background. Our mixed media instructor walked us through the process. I just swapped out rhe crayon colours.
