Her pregnancy is so reminiscent of mine. I was due Oct. 13th, and delivered via emergency c-section on September 1st. I started complete bedrest at 20 weeks (I found out at 15 weeks), and my baby shower was in June also. So fun on the genders. We never knew if they were boys/girls. They thought two girls and a boy but ended up identical girls. Being only 5 feet "tall," they were so squished they could never tell. We had 6 names ready to go thankfully. Then it was off to NICU to attach names to actual babies. Have fun. It was always a fun and exciting time for all of us too. My nurse that came to check on me at our house each Monday morning always said I was her favorite patient because I never complained and was always excited. We became very dear friends through that.

We're looking at a plug in hybrid to replace our aging SUV. My husband has an all electric which he adores, but we need something for longer trips. The Porsche Cayenne is pricey, but I'm keeping an eye on the used market. Best SUV ever! I have had a Volvo XC90 and a BMW X5. My sister still has my XC90. It's over 20 years old now and still going strong! My BMW was great but got rid of it after 5 years. The Cayenne is truly the best. I love, love, love mine. I have the Cayenne S, and I love driving it on long road trips. So fun, and takes me back to my autobahn days when I got my first driver's license in Germany. The Cayenne has everything that Merge is looking for but so does Volvo and BMW. I would go with the Volvo over the BMW though.

My daughter also has POTS. She has had it for 13 years. She knows what to do to control symptoms as well as her meds. She absolutely cannot take showers in the morning. That will cause her to pass out. She has to have them late in the day. Also, lots of fluids, compression, exercise, etc. She sees a physician at the Dysautonomia Clinic at Duke. Sorry your daughter has it also. Feel free to ask questions. I am sure pantsonfire and I can help.

I have had 5 dogs on Fromm over the years. Three still are eating it. Great, great food. Don't be tempted to switch around flavors though. They don't need it. I did, and found out one of my boys is allergic to chicken. So, we can only eat the flavors without chicken. All kibble is small so any size breed can eat it. My big boys (75 lbs each) eat the tiny kibble fine. The flavor the three dogs eat now is Pork and Applesauce.

I have some of their other great flavors but those sound very strange.

If you have a Silhouette, they have some designs you can cut out. Patter used to be on a design team for a stamp company that did a lot of religious themed items - Unity Stamps maybe? Yes, I designed for Unity Stamp Company and Our Daily Bread Designs. I don't know if ODBD sold or renamed the company, but it's now Divinity Designs. divinitydesignsllc.comUnity still has some stamps too. Hope that helps.

Absolutely! I walk everyday already. I would continue that, enjoy our land by sitting out there and reading a book, cross stitch, etc. Today I even chased goats that got into our "dog park." Never a dull moment here. I would love it!

Oh and as ellemkay mentioned--Waynesville has lots of great places! Love Waynesville also. And if you cross stitch/quilt/scrapbook, Anabella's is there too.

Boone and Blowing Rock are nice but again--will be a zoo. Hope you enjoy, and have a safe trip! Everywhere will be a zoo that weekend, especially with the summer residents in town and lots of tourists trying to escape to cooler mountain temps! 🤣 Exactly. I mentioned that too--that everywhere will be a zoo 4th of July weekend.

I just looked up tickets for Biltmore. We always have had season passes so I didn't know the going rate. Looking at what's available now, I would highly recommend the house/exhibit/2-day grounds. Looks like it's $115. If you have never seen the Chihuly exhibit, it is AMAZING! Also, the grounds are massive and stunning. So much to do. I would recommend a house tour time of 4 p.m. or so. Everyone wants to get there first thing in the morning but the late afternoon has always been a winner for us. Summer is definitely more difficult as far as crowds are concerned but so much to see/do. There is even horseback riding, and the trail goes behind the house. It is awesome.
Finding parking in downtown Asheville in the summer will be hard. There are some parking garages and lots of parallel parking. I always hate going downtown with the summer crowds. I am NOT a crowd person LOL!
We personally have never been back to Gatlinburg. We went once, and it was not our thing. It will be a zoo in the summer too and especially 4th of July. I think that will be the same everywhere.
Boone and Blowing Rock are nice but again--will be a zoo.
Hope you enjoy, and have a safe trip!

Hubby is on Crestor; I am on Pravachol. I could NOT take Crestor. I had horrendous leg cramps. Pravachol works great for me. No issues whatsoever. You probably just have to find the one that works best for you. Not everyone reacts the same way to each statin.

She is certainly blessed to be near family. Congrats to her. My daughter is thankful for her residency but she sure would have loved to have been close to home. But that's okay. She will be back once she's done!!!

I find it fascinating that singletons and fraternal twins are nearly neck and neck at the moment with identical twins almost half fraternal. Lots of families with lots of multiples too! Yes, lots of families with multiples. When I kept the contact list for our Austin Mother's of Higher Order Multiples (triplets or more), we had 60+ families with AT LEAST triplets just in that area!

I selected 3 boxes above:
identical triplets (my girls) identical twins (my mom and aunt) non-identical twins (my sister's boy/girl twins)
Mom miscarried her multiples, and we have several other sets in the family. The above 3 are just immediate family, and all were spontaneous pregnancies.

There’s a pee on here who has triplets I’m drawing a blank on her name. Congratulations. That would be me. I posted above you. Ha ha.🤪

Well, sounds similar to me as you know--my mom is an identical twin, miscarried her multiples, my sister has twins, and we have many more in the family. Then I spontaneously got pregnant with identical triplets. I didn't find out until 15 weeks though. I got pregnant in January also, full-term due date was October but delivered Sept. 1st at 33 1/2 weeks. I was put on complete bedrest at 20 weeks, could only get out of bed to potty and shower every other day. Hubby packed snacks for me to keep by the bed while he was at work. I am now 4' 11" but was 5' even and 110 lbs. when I got pregnant with them.
Congrats to them. Can't believe my girls will be 30 this year. It goes by fast so enjoy EVERY moment with them. Lots of fun ahead!

Absolutely. I would LOVE it. Hubby and I worked together for 9 years. That was great too! I forgot I worked with my husband way earlier in our relationship.. although it wasn't side by side, it was fun really. (If I had to work with him now, probably another whole story..haha) Ha ha! Yep it was early in our marriage too, and not side by side. We drove to work together too. It was also pre-kids through toddler kiddos.

I know 3 people that have had it done in the past couple of years--all medically necessary, all paid by insurance. None of them regret it. The results were awesome. I know I will need it done also. I will be 59 in June, and my right eye is getting really bad but that's also where my paralyzed cranial nerve is so that affects mine also

My parent's precious girl will be 17 in April; they are 81 and 79. This is their last dog. Just too hard for them. I have also said that my two precious boys will be my last (they are 9). They are large breed and take a lot of work. My arthritis is getting terrible, and I'm sad that I can't just come and go as I please. I doubt we have another dog after they go. I have never been without a dog but I think the freedom might be a bit nice while I can still move a little. And I certainly would not want a dog to outlive me. That's so sad if there aren't acceptable arrangements made.

I haven't done it for my redness or broken capillaries. I just cover it all up with my MAC paintpot. Works great for me.

I clench my teeth, and I broke a crown because of it. So since then, I have been wearing a bite guard nightly. I do not want to break that crown again!

Patter & jeremysgirl - I’m almost done my current HOS Briar Rose. I have Lion Brand mandala that I bought - some for a Whatcha and some for a Thingie - which would be easier to do? I’ve done two DooDad with that type of wool, and Briar is a 4 ply Cotton Kings. I have Panda Yarn from Canada that is the same 4 ply separate strand for both patterns as well, but I want to try them with the twisted yarn first. Both are classified as easy peasy with a few tricky spots. Any one you prefer over the other? Doo Dad was my very first, and I LOVED it. Then I did Whatcha and I can't remember which next. I have taken a break since my arthritis has been so bad. I have been cross stitching which doesn't bother me as much (not so much wrist movement). Can't wait to see your pieces!

If you have to pull it out to use, you definitely won't want the pro. That thing is heavy! I am assuming the Artisan is the same weight or just slightly lighter.
And I just looked it up. Here are the weights:
Mini: 18 lbs. Tilt head: 26 lbs. Bowl lift: 29-32 lbs. (this is what I have)

Well, I will offer a different idea but not sure the sales are what they were (got it new for $279). I don't cook/bake much. I ended up with the lift stand professional mixer instead of the tilt. It is a game changer. I never have to move it, it's tucked under the upper cabinets, and I just use it from there. I love this thing. With the arthritis in my hands, it is amazing for meatloaf and anything and everything. I don't know how the smaller motor on the mini would handle meatloaf.

When we were in TX, even the privacy fence didn't stop our dogs and the neighbor dogs from going nuts because they heard each other. Here we have nice aluminum fencing, and my boys love all of the dogs on two sides of our "dog park." What some neighbors have done is in addition to their fence, they have an invisible fence about a foot INSIDE their own property away from the fence. The dog then learns to stay away from the real fence.

I have never wanted one and have never had one UNTIL Wednesday of this week! My friend gave me an Echo Dot, and I am in LOVE with the thing. Oh my word. I am still figuring out what she can do but so far it's love.
