... Least Favorite: Echo Park, one of their designers told me they use the same shape dies to make the ephemera for every collection. They are too small and need to be upgraded. Was this a recent conversation!?! Last summer, the company introduced a Titles/Phrases to certain collections, in addition to its usual Ephemera & Frames/Tags packs. I hoped the diecuts would then be more strictly segregated: only words in Title/Phrases, frames/tags (& perhaps versatile/non-themed tabs, labels, etc. in the collection's color palette) in Frames/Tags, & themed diecuts corralled in Ephemera. Unfortunately, IMHO the contents of all three packs are similar (i.e. words, frames, & themed icons are found in all of them)! ETA: For example, check out the upcoming July release, Sweater Weather: Ephemera, Frames/Tags, & Titles/Phrases.

Thanks for your responses. Nothing is added to my wish list. EP Family - IMHO this collection should be branded CB, given its cream base & vintage, old-fashioned, floral, etc. aesthetic. CB Back To School - I dislike the faux parchment backgrounds of the papers. CB Best In Show - I like the tone-on-tone dark green plaid on the reverse of Best Friends Breeds Paper. CB London - stereotypical CB Paris - stereotypical

Off the cuff, I consider the following scrapbook companies as regularly breaking with the predictable/norm: - Photoplay - uses unusual color palettes & releases current event-inspired (e.g. Covid, inflation, Barbie) & non-major US sports (e.g. pickleball, rugby) collections - Reminisce - tackles numerous, specific, & obscure themes Does this brand offer glossy or matte papers? ... I appreciate companies that opt to make their b sides coordinate in colors or patterns, but who don't necessarily work the theme into the back side of each paper. I also like companies who put out a pack of solids or mostly-solids to go with a line. Or who offer some embellishments that again match more in color/pattern/texture than in theme--maybe tags, enamel dots, washi, twine, etc. ... I also love when companies include paper backs or embellishments that are more general use journaling type things--lined sheets, ledger paper, or graph paper looking things in light colors that don't all scream out the theme. ... Same

Thanks for your responses. While all the collections in this release will undoubtedly yield beautiful seasonal/holiday layouts/cards/projects, I already have similar in my existing inventory. Nothing is added to my wish list.

Absolutely nothing. So many lines and none of them interest me. I honestly wish that Echo Park would spend more time coming up with something new and more original, instead of just using the same patterns and color schemes over and over. Same!

As a spin-off of this thread, what are your top THREE favorite &/or most-used (current, not including defunct/past) BRANDS for embellishments (e.g. ephemera/diecuts, stickers, enamel dots), & why? TIA.

Love the wood grains! ... Love the woodgrains and expect I will pick that whole line up I really like the ivory, white, and shiplap papers from the wood grain line. ... Wood Grains - This I need. I'll buy both packages. I can always use wood grained paper. This is pretty. ... ...Loving the Wood Grains, always great to me... I do like the Wood Grains. They are always useful. How or on what (subject/type) layouts do you intend to use these warm &/or cool woodgrains? TIA.

I guess I never really jumped on the bandwagon the first time. They never really fit in with my photos or how I envisioned my layout. To me they are very earthy as well as vintage sometimes and I don't scrap that way. I think I have 4 layouts total with wood grain. Same, except I don't recall ever purchasing/using woodgrain! I am considering, however, buying a sheet of the Light Wood Grain for basketball layouts, although I would prefer lines, grid, or ledger on the reverse (ETA: like SS Woods papers, specifically those with a white background) rather than the matching solid.

I really like chilling with my snowmies. It’s the one thing I’ll probably grab just means I need to get out in the snow with the kids though 😂 I'm certain you'll have fun this winter with your little "snowmies!"

I'm unfamiliar with the YTers mentioned (& did not click the links) but have seen the binder organization for ephemera/diecuts described. It would take more time to create & maintain (with a lot of wasted space) than necessary for my relatively few packs of purchased ephemera/diecuts. I'm neither a theme nor collection scrapper & store ephemera/diecuts by manufacturer. ETA: All ephemera/diecuts for any given manufacturer are housed together (i.e. the contents of each pack is unceremonially dumped) in its assigned (shallow) drawer of a clear vanity organizer (previously, an Iris 4x6 photo case) that I can access easily & sort through quickly.

... They release so many lines, you'd think they would experiment more with styles. ... Agree, rather it is the same color palettes/icons/sentiments repeated throughout each collection of the same themes on a loop!

My kids had Pooh in their nursery and my granddaughter has donkeys and Pooh all over hers. Aww...that's sweet & the (non-pink) EP Winnie the Pooh collections are timely for documenting it!

First off, I got 61 cherry points looking at these, so that is a plus. ... I do like their stencils - I buy quite a few of those. ... Multi-tasking! I also like/frequently-use EP/CB stencils. However, their designs have also become repetitive/formulaic (e.g. every fall/autumn line offers at least one falling leaves stencil, Halloween = bats, winter = random dots, birthday = confetti). I often find the few new stencil designs too ornate, floral, themed, etc. ... ugh!

... Why is Back To School so retro? I feel like a broken record, but how many decades ago did students stop using chalkboards? Who's bringing an apple to class? Is every single student a star student? Really?
Why can't we have chromebooks/laptops?
Are there really so many of us that have that many photos of us/our parents/our grandparents attending school that these theme items would be relevant? ... A versatile & modern school line with a non-gendered & usable color palette/sentiments/icons is elusive in this industry!

None. I’m Not a fan of Steven Duncan’s stuff as it just doesn’t match my style. The retro stuff is cute, but so hard to actually use on modern pages. Agree. The only reason I ever purchase from a vintage collection is either stencils or the classic patterns on the reverse side of the papers.

It is not this company specifically, but I feel like I have lost my love for pretty, pretty paper. I don't think I have bought any in a long time. Even stuff I wanted I did not end up buying. Based on responses in these new product/reveal threads, it appears many of us are fatigued by the industry's repetitive/formulaic/predictable themes/color palettes/icons/sentiments/etc. on a loop. My spending has certainly dwindled in recent years as a result, & paper is my favorite & most-used supply (but in this feminine/floral era, there are few papers that appeal to me & then I usually already have the same, similar, or better in my inventory)!

... I just bought the EP Winnie the Pooh line I'm not ready for Pooh as the new gnomes: Pooh Christmas, Pooh Halloween, Pooh Summer, Pooh at the Beach (tropical of course), Pooh goes to Paris and puts his vintage luggage on top of his car... Is Winnie the Pooh becoming the new gnome trend? I'm here for it. Same prediction with opposite reactions!

I'm a standing, indecisive, & S-L-O-W scrapper & always "clean" as I go as a stall tactic for time to consider choices in the next step of my layout process, so it keeps my space neat & organized without the "need" for a lengthy cleaning session/s (or YT content).

I have never purchased anything from 49 & Market (I know!), but I love Summer Porch. I think I will dip my toes in the figurative water with the Page Kit and see how I like it. Me neither! The Summer Porch Page Kit seems like a great start. (ETA: Consider taking advantage of the 20% PREORDER discount at ACOT, which this thread reports will be reduced soon.)

I really like the designs on all three Christmas kits but again - traditional colours just do not work for my summer Christmas photos. And all three kits are pretty much THE SAME COLOURS! Ugh. Even though it is winter when we celebrate Christmas, I run into that same issue to a degree. My parents use a white tree with blue & silver decor, so the background in the photos is always those colors. Plus, a lot of our family favor blue clothing as well. So the red & green papers often are really difficult for me to work with for all of the big family get-together type pics. IIRC past EP/CB holiday releases have included at least one collection that adds blue to its color palette. Disappointed it's not included in this year's reveals.
