... Marry Me - I don't need it but I find it really boring. I'd like to see a wedding line with brighter colors. Do people still do pastel weddings? ... IIRC I've NEVER been to a "pastel wedding" (assuming you mean all attendants are wearing pale colored dresses/suits)!

I really love this line. This might be my favourite of their Disney lines and I am very tempted to purchase this to document my childhood trip to Disney. There isn't anything in here that I don't like, and there are several papers of which I would buy multiples. Wow! That is certainly complimentary, given the numerous collections released over the years in the SS Say Cheese series (i.e. Say Cheese 1, 2, 3, 4, Halloween, Christmas, Main Street, At The Park, Adventure At The Park, Fantasy At The Park, Frontier At The Park, Tomorrow At The Park, & the recent May release: Epic, Galaxy, Magic, Tinseltown, & Wild).

... Pinkfresh chipboard flair ... It seems only Pinkfresh offers/ed chipboard flair, which is surprising given it seems to sell out quickly (& is actually restocked) at online retailers. For this reason, I expect chipboard flair will still be included in its collections when the company resumes its scrapbooking releases in 9-15 months!

... I like the paper with the animals although it rather looks like the bear and the reindeer are being served up for lunch on a nice bed of greens. ... Yikes! (I cannot unsee it now.)

While I like the color palette (except the yellow), I'm disappointed this collection does not offer at least one multicolor plaid, stripe, &/or dot; instead, all of the classic patterns on reverse sides are tone-on-tone-ish. TFS.

While I like the red/aqua/lime diagonal plaid paper, I dislike the hand-drawn illustrations, asymmetrical patterns, & metallic gold accents. TFS.

I dislike the hand-drawn illustrations, non-linear patterns, & trite sentiments. TFS. ETA: I feel like they're offering so many lines that statistically I should like more of them. But no. Same

I'm not an impulse/stress shopper; rather, I'm left-brained & painstakingly overanalyze every purchase = boring & nerdy. I think I had a Fever Dream and Ordered All the Things...

Since I live in Australia it NEVER snows so I have no need for my of those winter themed papers. I do like some of the solids in the wonderland collection I'm not a theme scrapper, so I often buy a multicolored plaid, stripe, &/or dot patterned paper (if the style is NOT wonky/asymmetrical) + solids from collections with desirable color palettes.

An acquaintance's husband was fired, after 20 years with the company. It's a large well-known business, does a lot of national and international sport-related sponsorships. It's so large I assumed it was public, however it is privately owned. He travelled and was out of town for weeks at a time. There were a few times when she repeated things he said that lit cheating spouse triggers in my head. Mostly due to situations shared on here... He returned from a trip in the spring and was fired, via text and then voice mail. No discussion, and according to her no chance to learn why. No HR paperwork explaining it, no insight from bosses or coworkers. She is certain he has been wronged and is angry his long time coworkers ghost him. This week he was denied state unemployment benefits. It's not my place, but if I was her I'd suspect my husband wasn't be forthcoming. His wife adores him, and is a naive in her belief her family does no wrong. ... I suspect your acquaintance knows exactly the reason her spouse is no longer employed (& it may be as simple as downsizing or eliminating an entire department) but is telling a narrative to others that paints the company at fault & her husband as a victim to both continue the facade that "her family does no wrong" & gain attention/sympathy/donations/whatever her goal.

Should I delete the ones I already posted this morning? There are no comments I believe Please accept my apology for the overlap. I started the thread when there were no SS new releases posted, got distracted, & resumed without refreshing the board. This thread has been edited accordingly.

Not a damn thing. CP used to be my favorite paper line for Christmas after OA went out of business. Now? It's the same thing every year. The same candy canes, the same Santas. The same snowflakes. The same tree branches. The same ornaments. The same the same the same. Over it. This seems to be the industry's modus operandi - formulaic/repetitive/predictable!

I find Pinkfresh embellishments to be very versatile. ... It will be interesting to see which existing embellishments the company continues to offer - & especially the new ones introduced - at its (scrapbooking) relaunch in 9-15 months!

I do not print photos at home & exclusively use a local camera shop that processes on site (note my orders are simple: one size - 4x6, usually straight out of the camera/no editing).

I create a custom title on each layout that reflects/supports its story & typically use one or a combination of types, fonts, &/or sizes of alphanumeric dies, stamps, &/or stickers.

I'm not a theme scrapper so don't buy specific-themed supplies to scrap a subject. Luckily, the sports balls you're seeking - baseball, tennis, & bowling - can be achieved using tools you may already have, such as circle punches, markers, &/or cut files (if applicable). Adding patterned papers, stencils, embossing folders, punches, stamps, &/or dies on hand in related patterns would also give a nod to the theme (e.g. herringbone, stripes, pennants, squares/diamonds = baseball; grids/net = tennis). Note you may already have these sports icons on cut apart papers/sticker sheets/ephemera/chipboard/stamps from boy, play, school, fun/games themed collections (e.g. bowling balls/pins are throughout the Simple Stories - Family Fun collection). Notice the patterns used in the vintage &/or out of stock baseball collections; you may also find the same or similiar patterned papers in your existing inventory. Consider purchasing a multi-sport stamp (e.g. Pretty Pink Posh - Sports), die set (e.g. Spellbinders - Game Day dies), chipboard (e.g. Mintay Chippies - Sport), etc. that would help you tackle sports that unexpectedly come your way now & in the future. For baseball specific products, check out: - Simple Stories Page Pieces - Baseball (note SS Page Pieces - Tennis is also available) - Carta Bella - Home Run: I Love Baseball paper (white with red stitching) - Doodlebug - Home Run (Value Bundle) - Reminisce - Baseball collection

Thanks for your responses. Nothing is added to my wish list. EP holiday collections - Lovely but repeats of prior years Wood Grains - As stated upthread, I prefer the reverse sides were lines, grid, or ledger (ETA: like SS Woods papers, specifically those with a white background) rather than a matching solid. Essentials - I'm disappointed with this collection, especially the three shades of red in the Neutral Paper Pad (I would have preferred charcoal, navy, & midnight instead of reds OR 3 each of the 9 actual neutrals & no reds), only 6x6 paper pads (no 12x12 paper packs without gummy binding), & Black & White Enamel Dots (= 36 white & 24 black dots with no other neutrals - greys/browns - as in the paper pads).

I'm not a cardmaker and I use woodgrains all of the time. I just did two different layouts in the past two days with woodgrain backgrounds. I have a bunch of others in my stash. Sometime today I will take a photo of them and post it. I do use them for earthy layouts but I also use them on layouts that aren't earthy at all. I kind of consider woodgrain a staple- I love visual texture and woodgrain always adds that. While I agree woodgrain papers are a staple, considering they're often included in collections - from realistic to stylized & in various colors, it's just not one that I use (ETA: unless I decide to buy the EP Light Wood Grain for basketball layouts). It seems the EP Warm Wood Grains would work well for earthy or country themed layouts & the EP Cool Wood Grains for beachy-related layouts. I look forward to seeing your layouts.

Since I dislike messy, I do minimal mixed media using: - Stencils (non-layered) with pigment ink (specifically Versafine Clair or VersaMark) or the occasional glaze - Basic stamping with pigment ink (see above), including a splatter stamp! - Heat embossing on occasion (using Ranger Super Fine Detail powders) - Inking edges occasionally with pigment ink (see above) ETA: ... my NJFB kit came with two Tim Holtz crayons. I've never used them before and I need to figure out how to do that. ... Uncertain if the Tim Holtz crayons are equivalent, but I use the Vicki Boutin Art Crayons primarily to tint VB Creative FX Iridescent Glaze or as watercolors on rare occasion.

How or on what (subject/type) layouts do you intend to use these warm &/or cool woodgrains? TIA. I really like them as a background on cards. Floral arrangements or single flowers, or leaves look really nice against a wood grain. It adds texture and interest without taking away. They are also good for masculine cards. Use as a background with a sentiment, or with trees, or maybe even with fishing stuff. On scrapbook pages I have used them as backgrounds or even mats. They look good with florals when I do a special picture of, for example, my sister. Also have used them in pages about the garden. And, I think also on a summer page about outdoor activities. Since I'm neither a cardmaker nor scrap florals/garden photos, perhaps that explains the lack of woodgrains on my layouts.
