... PaperAngel I am glad I don't have any desire to paint it because then I would have to decide on a color and i really don't want to. ... I can relate, since I too find choosing a paint color daunting, given the number of shades of any given color (even if focusing on just one paint manufacturer)!

I actually like the flower packs. Lets get the flowers off of the tumblers, brushes and luggage and give them their own package. That way people can use an unadorned suitcase and then if they want to use a flower they can add it themselves. I also like the flower packs because sometimes I love the paper in a collection but don't like the icons. Using the flower pack lets me add an embellishment to my clusters without using whatever goofy icons come in the regular pack. In the context of my entire post, the addition of an embellishment pack devoted to florals is further evidence of the floral trend. I have no issue with the existence of a floral embellishment pack, especially considering how many scrappers seem to like/purchase it (given it's often among the first products to sell out - & actually be restocked - at online retailers). I also wish the floral embellishment pack would have replaced the floral-adorned icons/images/letters/etc., instead of just adding more florals usually to collections - regardless brand &/or theme - already blooming with them...UGH!

Summer Porch is making me want to plan a long vacation in a coastal town. I love it. I've recently jumped on the 49 and Market bandwagon. I want all of the 49 and Market now. Me too.. just found this company and in love with it. I don't even know where to start because I want it all!! I noticed ACOT has a 49 & Market Value Bundle that includes a variety of papers & embellishments from numerous collections (see list in product description) for $39.99. HTH.

I feel unready for these subjects this year. Other years I was ready to embrace those themes early, but this year I feel like I can't get excited about them yet. So feel very unimpressed, and maybe that's partly why. Echo Park: I'm not a fan of Halloween lines that are so very orange and black and white. I do see a tiny bit of a 4th color there, but I still look at it and think "Black and Orange". I know Winnie the Pooh came in public use, and companies are excited about that, but I don't personally have use for Winnie the Pooh themed lines. And the Sweater Weather one looks too similar to things I already have. Now, the Carta Bella, while I like every one of their lines better than the corresponding holiday line from Echo Park, but I still don't need/want any of them, and the Halloween & Fall lines received the same response I gave to the EP ones. Sorry, I feel like my answers are very cranky-sounding. No worries. It appears many of us are fatigued by the repetitive/formulaic/predictable themes/color palettes/icons/sentiments/etc. on a loop...UGH!

... I appreciate that more manufacturers are jumping onto selling colourways of basics like the enamel dots. ... Same (especially when they actually match the papers)!

PaperAngel -the CB solids are sort of textured- like their patterned papers but a bit less so if that makes sense Yes, thanks for the information.

... It seems like every collection for England/UK has the same icons - London Taxi, double decker bus, Big Ben/Clock tower, Tower bridge... and there's so much more to London and the Uk in general Agree; unfortunately, they are predictably stereotypical.

I exclusively scrapbook & only create layouts (no cards, TNs, Bible/art/junk journaling, mini albums, or special projects - e.g. DITL, WITL, OD, DD, JYC). Therefore, my lone "project" is always open, active (although S-L-O-W), & conceptual one layout at a time!

... After 27-ish years......my corner rounder won't cut anymore. It's too dull. ... While I've never attended a CM event or purchased its products, your corner rounder likely isn't done chomping paper yet! To re-sharpen paper punches, it's recommended to punch through aluminum foil (i.e. use multiple sheets or fold a single sheet several times to make it 2-3 ply/thicker) or an aluminum can (poke a hole in the can & cut it lengthwise to make it flat-ish, then punch over a trash can; be careful!) after every ~100 uses/punches. [Similarly, re-lubricating the blades by punching through wax paper is suggested after every ~50 uses/punches.] HTH.

I actually really really really like Halloween Fun. It reminds me of October Afternoon! pantsonfire-thats because the designer Steven Duncan designed for OA back in the day Yes! Although uncertain its designer, Witch Hazel was one of my favorite OA collections.

I really like the designs on all three Christmas kits but again - traditional colours just do not work for my summer Christmas photos. And all three kits are pretty much THE SAME COLOURS! Ugh. I share your frustration. In addition to the three Echo Park holiday collections in this release, Carta Bella - A Vintage Christmas in the July release (discussed here) also has a traditional holiday color palette. IIRC there was more variety of style/color palettes/etc. in the EP/CB holiday collections in prior years.

Since I live in Australia it NEVER snows so I have no need for my of those winter themed papers. I do like some of the solids in the wonderland collection Have you previously purchased CB solids? Both CB & EP solids are described as "heavy-weight, double sided paper." The EP solids that I've purchased in the past are the same weight & smooth finish as the EP patterned paper. Is the CB solids the same weight & textured finish as the CB patterned paper?

Pink, of course It's more of a mauvy pink and I'd like to change it to a lighter brighter pink someday but honestly, the thought of moving everything away from the walls exhausts me. Pink is also my favorite color. About 20 years ago there was a small specialty store in one of the end spaces of an upscale strip mall with two walls of floor to ceiling windows & the other two walls were painted Benjamin Moore Ribbon Pink 2087-60 with Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace OC-65 trim. (Apparently so many customers had asked for the paint information, they had the brand/colors posted upon entry.) It was stunning!

... Not just these two lines, but lately (in the last year or so) I am feeling like too much is being crammed onto a sticker sheet, as well as the stickers are smaller in size....looking like sticker sneeze. I would prefer a bit bigger on the stickers, even if less fit on a sheet. IMHO sticker sheets seem to have become more heavily themed with fewer versatile labels, tabs, letters, etc. than in the past. It appears the industry hopes that one sticker sheet per collection will now work for making any size layout, pocket pages, journals, traveler's notebooks, planners, etc.

Marry me - pass. Would love to see a wedding collection with navy blue & no pink ... IMHO it could be paired with any color(s) & used during any season (or, for me, used on a variety of non-wedding layouts!). I wish scrapbooking supplies included more navy (& light blue - i.e. true blue, not aqua & other shades).

That's what 20 CB and EP lines just announced? And except for a b-side here and there, not one of them is exciting me. I don't think it's because it's June and most of them, are holiday related, it's that they all just look like something I already purchased from them five, six and seven years ago. I'm underwhelmed. I will get off my cranky old lady perch now. Agree. IMHO the company's decision to reveal 3-4 months of releases simultaneously makes the repetitiveness of its themes/icons/color palettes/etc. more noticeable!

My favorite color is blue and it turns up in so many of my pics ... Given the prominence of blue on earth & in photos (sky, ocean), it's surprisingly difficult to find true blue (not aqua or other shade) in scrapbooking collections' color palettes!

Mine is just the same gray as the rest of the house. I hate it because it's neutral and boring. But I also hate painting so here we are. A few months ago I decided to put up a gallery wall in my craft room. I covered most of two walls with my acrylic paintings. Now it's bright and lively in there and I love looking up and seeing the artwork! Definitely a win-win: Simultaneously adding color & displaying your artwork!

[Note I exclusively scrapbook & create layouts only with a simple, clean, linear, minimalist, magazine-ish style]
How often do you use: - Cardstock stickers: Occasionally (i.e. mostly versatile labels/borders/tabs & rarely heavily-themed sticker sheets) - Puffy stickers: Rarely (since most shapes/icons are heavily-themed & letter packs lack enough frequently-used consonants/vowels) - Die Cuts: Rarely (purchased ephemera, since it's often heavily-themed); Often (manually die-cut shapes/letters, using metal dies) - Chipboard: Occasionally (Thickers, purchased more than a decade ago); Rarely (purchased/printed chipboard shapes/icons since usually heavily themed); Never (plain chipboard) - Enamel dots: Occasionally - Frames: Never - Tags: Often (using metal dies); Occasionally (cut-aparts, such as Simple Stories Tags); Never (purchased/blank tags) - Acrylic shapes: Never - Wood shapes: Never - Sequins: Never - Twine, string, etc.: Occasionally (twine only, in tag holes) - Ribbon: Rarely (in tag holes) - Metal charms: Never - Paper flowers: Never (although the one glass bottle of various Prima colors has been used as craft room decor for ~20 years!) - Washi tape: Never (on layouts); Often (to secure metal dies before cutting, stencils before inking, etc.) - Rub ons: Rarely (still have some Making Memories letters!) - Brads: Never - Buttons: Never - Film strips: Never (purchased/acetate); Rarely (using metal die)
ETA:
What about... - Eyelets: Never - Border punches: Often - Die cuts you due cut yourself (like QuicKutz): Often - Burlap: Never (only a burlap texture background stamp on occasion) - Acrylic Paint: Rarely - Foam stamps: Never - Bows: Never - Pockets with journaling tags: Never (either pocket for memorabilia or journaling tag sans pocket) - Ink (for like inked edges): Often (for basic stamping, stenciling, heat embossing, inking edges) - Tear Bears: Never - Vellum: Rarely (with computer-generated journaling) - Bottle caps: Never

Okay, now keep in mind that my wall was painted many years ago, maybe even two decades ago!! My lovely DSO painted one wall to mimic a piece of striped SEI paper. We went to the hardware shop and picked out all the colours to match the paper, and then he set to work. I wish I still had that paper to show you what a great job he did to copy it! ... Here is the "masterpiece": I recall (& loved) that SEI pattern - & your wall reflects it perfectly!
