... I do like the snowflake sentiment stamp set. I put it on my wish list - I have to figure out what I am doing for cards this year first. ... I understand the appeal of this stamp set, especially for cardmakers, with its nine usable holiday/winter sentiments in a a simple/easy-to-read font that can work with various styles/colors/etc.

Thank you for pointing that out. When I added to my cart a few days ago, I didn’t see the flat lay of what the package included. It’s really good! Although 49 & Market embellishments are among the pricier in the industry, this Ephemera Bits pack appears versatile with its color palette & non-themed labels, tabs, etc. that can be used on any layout & easily mixed with other brands.

Birdsong is disappointing. I love birds and thought there would be a lot of them. Unfortunately for me it’s mostly butterflies. I already have a lot of those so I’ll pass. ... I agree the name of the collection seems a misnomer, considering such few bird images on the patterned papers that also appear an afterthought to the florals & butterflies. Interestingly, however, the few "themed pieces in the Ephemera Bits pack are bird-related (e.g. birdhouse, cage, birds on branches) with few florals & no butterflies in sight.

I have a hard time using papers with giant patterns. ... ... I also have trouble using pp-s that have so much of a big design on them. ... While they are beautiful, I also don't gravitate toward these large-scale designs (especially the faux layered ones).

And for me…If it says junque, I’m probably going to buy it! In case you missed the previously-released (in May) collection: Everyday Junque is in stock at online retailers (e.g. SB.com still has the entire line). HTH.

... I noticed Photoplay's last junque line sold out pretty quickly at ACOT. I was going to go back and get a few papers and they were all gone. Note SB.com still has the entire collection in stock ( HERE).

Love Birdsong, the color combo is so good. I’ll probably get both the pp and ephemera pack, even though it looks like the sentiments lean towards “best day ever”. Luckily, the sentiments are a small fraction of the 120 pieces in the Ephemera Bits; hopefully you can find a use for "joyful," "loved," "memories," "right now," "sing," "snapshots," "sweetest," etc.

... I wish they still made just the filmstrips in a package. ... Given the popularity of the filmstrips (evidenced by the quick sell-out & restock(s) at online retailers), it seems a missed opportunity to not only appease customers but also increase revenue!

IIRC I've only ever been interested in/purchased/used MM letter rub-ons. Since I prefer alphabet dies, stamps, etc. to create titles, I don't have a need to purchase rub-ons during their resurgence. ... I still have some of my Making Memories letters, and they still work just as well as the day I bought them. ... Same

Makes me sad to see the pendulum swing back into these dull colours. I am happy I over bought so much of PhotoPlay when they used to be the top of the Bright and Bold heap. I think it's just Michelle Coleman's lines that have more muted colour schemes. I think Becki Adams' collections are typically brighter colours. Agree (except Becky Moore, not Becki Adams, is the Photoplay designer). It appears Michelle Coleman designs most of the vintage collections (e.g. Everyday Junque, Coco Paradise, Travelogue, Midnight Garden, Meadow's Glow), while Becky Moore, Traci Smith, & others still use bright/saturated colors (e.g. Later Gator - now scheduled to ship this month, Seaside Holiday Greetings, Cat Nip, Crop Til You Drop, Pickleball, Family Fun Night).

I see these referenced & recommended often; may I ask how you prefer to use them? I haven't actually purchased one. I just lust after them. I would maybe put pens in them or small items for a crop. The patterns are so pretty. These 49 & Market project totes are certainly more decorative than the generic mesh ones; however, given they aren't see-through (& cannot hold 12x12 paper), they don't seem as practical or versatile. Plus, it seems odd enamel dots are only available for any collection via the purchase of a $14.99 pouch!

The only thing I considered were the nested tag dies. Then I remembered I have some similar! IMHO nested tag dies are a must-have, since I use them on at least 90% of my layouts.

If you don't mind me asking: Have you ever used (metal) dies, do you use an electronic diecutting machine instead, or is there some other reason you choose not to use them?

Beautiful Junque is really nice. But I do already have something similar. However might cave on this. Bad me. I giggle every time I read your post, especially the self-scold at the end!

Like joblackford, I dislike redundancy. I'm also not a theme scrapper, so I rarely purchase sticker sheets/ephemera packs since they're often heavily themed. Before any supply enters my organization system, pieces (e.g. individual stickers/ephemera/stamps) that I don't intend to use for whatever reason (e.g. color/style/size/font/sentiment/theme) are tossed into a designated donation box in my craft room. Once full, I donate its contents to a local charity (recently, an after school art program for at-risk students).

Like you, I finish one layout at a time. My scrapbooking is story-driven. After selecting photos &/or memorabilia that support the story that I want to tell, I write the journaling & brainstorm a title. Then, I select paper/embellishments & determine a layout design that will accommodate my (often lengthy) journaling, title, photos, & memorabilia.

Been a favorite for years, until >> something has changed. Lately....last few collections, couple years-ish are not the same as it used to be in years and decades past I think the originators have sold the company. Not sure when that happened, but that may explain the change you see. Per the Reminisce website ( here), the founders sold the company to its current owners in 2017.

UGH! I'm not the target audience & have never purchased Reminisce, but this explains the contradictory feedback on whether its paper has a glossy finish. Like you, I also miss the in-person scrapbook shopping experience.

I suggest hiring an expert. If not, then determine the undertone of any fixed item(s) already installed/selected (e.g. floors, cabinets) to guide future decisions & ensure everything blends harmoniously. Be certain to sample everything in your actual space in its intended orientation (e.g. flooring samples should be horizontal, paint samples vertical), since natural light sources, room sizes, & other factors in your home are different than the usual flourescent lights in large open showrooms/stores. HTH.

Uncertain whether you asked while in store, but clerks can scan the barcode to see other stores that have the item in stock. Therefore, I suggest you call a store near you or your sister, if you live in different areas, with tag in hand (ETA: to provide the item number, price, &/or other information) & inquire availability in the applicable area(s). Then, call the nearest store that shows it in stock & request a hold on the pillow(s) for you until end of day tomorrow; hopefully a nearby store will have it in stock so it's a short drive for you or your sister to pick up. HTH, & best wishes!

I'm not a cardmaker but purchased inexpensive oval makeup brushes from Dollar Tree (available in three sizes) a couple years ago just to sample & determine whether I prefer using brushes to apply ink to stencils (on layouts). These work well for my occasional & simple (non-cardmaking) needs, & I've never replaced them. HTH.
