For the record, I always sit on the bench with you when a "Should I eat this? " thread is started. 😁

That dog seriously looks like a stuffed toy. If you told me it was made at Build-a-Bear, I'd believe it.

If triglycerides are your main concern, the first thing I would try is eliminating all fruit juice. Fruit has no cholesterol at all. How does eliminating juice help? OP mentioned she was particularly concerned about her triglyceride levels. If you have high triglycerides, one of the first things your Dr will likely tell you is to cut out fruit juice. Here is an article about it Fruit juice and triglycerides basically, fruit juice is very high in sugar and if it isn't used as energy, it converts to fat, which can lower you good cholesterol and hence raise your bad cholesterol.

I'm glad you called. My mom is 89 and doesn't drive anymore (thank goodness!) but if a friend found her wandering around the parking lot looking for her car, I would want to know. OTOH, my mom has been losing her car in parking lots for most of her driving life. We still tease her about the time she put her groceries in the car at the grocery store, got in and adjusted the rear view mirror and noticed there was a car seat in the back. She didn't have a baby. In fairness, the car looked just like hers but it wasn't. I definitely would want to know. My mom has had trouble finding her car since she got her drivers license at 18. She is also directionless. I swear she would still be driving us around somewhere in Montana if I hadn't worked diligently on my sense of direction. I'm glad you told your friend. It was the right thing to do.

My IT DH's head would explode if I shared some of the ways you all save your passwords! BUT, I would probably be right there with you all if I didn't have him. We have Keeper which saves all our passwords and will create passwords when signing up for a new account. All you have to do is remember one master password. I said, "Well, that will be great until that gets hacked!", which he didn't not think was funny. DH has a great sense of humor but passwords on sticky notes and me asking for help with a printer changes his DNA. Dang, your dh is definitely going to hate me. I do keep the sticky notes in our safe though. I know I need to do better, but I really don't get tech things at all and tend to avoid it as much as possible. I get Dh to handle most things. If he dies I'm screwed.

We tend to buy water as we go, because we just don't carry bags that would hold a water bottle. We also typically find that when you eat in a restaurant and ask for water they will offer sparkling or still water that comes in a bottle that can be kind of pricey. If you ask for tap water, it will come in a glass, with no ice, and it is no charge.

I'm so sorry to hear of such a senseless tragedy striking those near and dear to you. Wishing those that loved them many happy memories of them to hopefully soothe their souls.

I do that with chicken I cook in the oven, and it's been a game changer. I still haven't even opened the air fryer I got for Christmas that I didn't ask for. So how do you cook it in the oven? I'm looking for a way to make chicken that I can use in salads. I pound out the fatter end for even cooking, season it based on what I'm making with it, and use a thermometer to get it to 160. After I pull it from oven, a wrap it in foil which then gets it to 165. Since I started using baking soda, it is much more tender and moist. My son even noticed, and he is not culinary in any way, shape, or form.

I recently read that instead of brining, sprinkle baking soda on chicken/pork chops/etc and rinse off after about 10 minutes. Anyone else ever hear this tip? I do that with chicken I cook in the oven, and it's been a game changer. I still haven't even opened the air fryer I got for Christmas that I didn't ask for.

9. I don't dry dishes, so mine are for hands only. At the end of the day I throw it in the hamper and they get washed once a week.

A carryon should be fine for a 19 year old boy. My Ds22 just spent 10 days in the UK. It rained in some fashion most days and high temps were in the low 50s. His carryon had a pair of jeans, 4 pairs of old socks and unders that he tossed after wearing and another 5 of each that were new, 5 t-shirts that he laid out in the bathroom after wearing to sort of steam refresh them, an extra pair of shoes, an extra hoodie, a rain shell, and gloves and a hat. He wore jeans, a t-shirt, a hoodie, and his heavier shoes on the plane. In his backpack, that fit under his seat, he had a pair of old socks and unders and a t-shirt just in case he decided to check his bag, his electronic stuff, his bathroom bag, snacks, water bottle and passport. He had ample room to bring home a lot of chocolate bars!
Have him roll his clothing as it will save space. He won't likely need a lot of cash as a great deal of places only take cards, or its the preferred method of payment.
Ds regretted wearing his Pepsi t-shirt as it caused people to come up to him to ask where in America was he from.
Wishing him a wonderful trip and a good bite from the travel bug that will motivate him to want to travel more.

Not funny. I don't like pranks. Edited to add: I especially hate pranks, where someone hides and jumps out suddenly or screams....to scare me.
I too hate that stupid prank. My dad used to hide in my parent's closet and and scare the shit out of my mom. Us kids would already be asleep and her terrified screams would shock us awake. 😡 I put an end to it it 3rd grade when I snuck into my parents closet and waited for my dad to come hide. As my mom opened the closet door and my dad shifted to jump out at her, I grabbed his arm. Holy crapoly did I get him. He screamed like a girl and I asked him how that felt. He never did it to her again.

I love all the little extra bits like the astronaut, star and baseball zipper pulls and the space shuttle in the background of your pictures. What type of fabric is the Houston Astros fabric?
