Oh, one other thing about earbuds vs headphones…you can’t lose a headphone down into the cracks around the airplane seat. My one fear about using earbuds on a plane is that they’ll fall out and I’ll lose them forever to the airplane seat. I can fall asleep with my headphones on knowing I won’t lose it. Air Pod Pros, with the appropriate fitting silicone tip, won't fall out. I fall asleep with mine in every night and there are still there when I wake up. I found the original Air Pods incredibly painful to wear, but the Pros with the smallest available tip are great. The noise reduction feature on the 2nd gen pros is amazing for planes.

The wedge of Republicans who want every married person to have as many kids as times they have sex is very small. Absolutely ridiculous.. And yet they seem to play a disproportionately large role in our government.

Meanwhile, in Texas: A man who assaults a woman and causes an abortion gets 180 days, but a woman or a doctor who instigated an abortion would be charged with homicide. That’s because fetuses only have a “right to life” if the man decides it should be so. Under their other draconian law, couldn’t she theoretically sue him for the $10K bounty? I'm not sure if that law is still in effect. It was enacted before the fall of Roe. After the fall, the state's "trigger" law with a universal abortion ban and criminal consequences automatically became law.

Those wimmens are getting too uppity with their sexual freedom. Only men are supposed to have that!
It occurred to me recently that a big part of the right wing trans panic is because they imagine women who want more rights would just transition. Ludicrous, of course, but they imagine it to be an upset to the balance of power.

No one said he just walked up and started talking about it. Now who’s making shit up? 🙄 Did you say those words? No. When you remove the ENTIRE beginning of the story, dismiss the ENTIRE flow of the story to 15 seconds, declare "there is no context that matters", you might as well have said the words. When you listen to the entire story, the "would you rather" moment is not even close to what you're making it out to be. It's perfectly sane. Because if you're going to make an argument against it, you should know the full pertinent context. As a teacher, shouldn't know that without having to ask? Yes, it absolutely does. You are a teacher? God, help us. You argue against things that you don't even know what they contain. You fall for and argue for a lot of hoaxes. Your judgment is not very sound. Russia Collusion Hoax Charlottesville Fine People Hoax Laptop Russian Disinformation Hoax Injecting Bleach Hoax YOU are willing to go to bat for a government that smears people in order to win, creates hoaxes and jails political opponents, lies & creates false documets in order to take down their preferred candidate's political opponent, obstruct cover and lie for their preffered candidate to affect the outcome of an election, in order to elect the liar, racist, serial plagerist, sexual assaulting, corrupt, censoring, president with "diminished mental faculties" that YOU support. We see you. You can’t deny who YOU are. Girl, your cult delusion is strong. None of this is accurate. The more you foam and froth, the more ridiculous you sound. I’m done on this thread.

You’re showing us who you are again. The clip showed that he said what was claimed. You're showing us who YOU are. As you said, "you don't want to watch it" and see the truth for yourself. You just want to look at a 15 second clip, clipped in the MIDDLE of the story, devoid of the actual context, and let a headline do your thinking FOR you. He was talking about environmental awareness, electric vehicles, and telling a story about a conversation he had with a boat manufacturer in South Carolina. Possible. Sane. He didn't just walk up to the podium and start talking about ways he'd rather die -as your headlines are telling you to think that he did. With you repeating those headlines, without an ounce of critical thinking on your own. That's completely sane. 🙄 No one said he just walked up and started talking about it. Now who’s making shit up? 🙄 It’s still not something a sane person would talk about in a speech, but since you’re his target audience, you and he probably find it just fine. I choose not to listen to the world’s stupidest narcissist ramble on because everyone who listens to him is stupider for having done so. I don’t believe he has anything of value to say. Why would any sane person listen to that? Again, the context in no way improves what he said, and I told you that without having to listen to it. Regardless, we all see you as a person who is willing to go to bat for a guy who told white nationalist militias they were “very special” after they had stormed the capitol and tried to overturn the election on his behalf. We see you. You can’t deny who you are.

You’re showing us who you are again. The clip showed that he said what was claimed. There is no possible context where that was something a sane person would say in a stump speech. But keep defending the guy who spouts racist rhetoric every time he turns around and welcomes the support of white nationalist groups. We see you.

Got it.👍 That wasn't at all what I said, but that's already been addressed elsewhere and it was shown that you actually DID make up what you said. No, Gia, no such thing was shown. Your delusions are not facts. 🙄 Actions speak louder than words. Your actions here - who you support or condemn, the ideas you protect - show us exactly who you are.

Where are you going in Spain next month? I am also traveling there next month - and then again in August- so excited Ooh, twice! We are flying into Barcelona, and will then go briefly to Madrid and then down to Malaga. After that we are taking a ferry from Terifa across to Tangiers just for a day trip. Where will you be?

Where's the video of him actually saying that? You know, complete with context and all. WHY did he bring it up? Where's that context? I'm sure he didn't just walk up there and start talking about a sinking boat, out of the blue. Where's the context? Gia, you know how Google works as well as I do. It was at a campaign event. x.com/ronfilipkowski/status/1708587099706830853?s=46&t=5ZPLoWY3enez0Oe8WYfajwLet’s remember this post when you say I’m making it up that you carry water for white nationalists on this board, shall we?

No, the mistakes that Biden makes are not exactly the same as Trump. Trump is slurring words, rambling, incoherent, talking in word salads, talking about bizarre things like his preferred method of violent death etc. Trump is forgetting basic things like who is the current president, a common question in cognitive tests. And you haven't acknowledged or recognized any of Trump's errors, mis-steps, mistakes, word salads, slurred words etc. Or any of the legitimate reasons why he is unfit to ever hold office. But Lucy is right. This is pointless. You will most likely never acknowledge any of Trump's many faults. You will just keep defending him, regardless of what he says or does. When? Where? So the contention here is that Willis, Wade, and Willis' father all perjured themselves, risking the end of their careers in Willis' and Wade's cases, and not that the former/friend co-worker was paid off by someone in the Trump camp (which has a well-documented history of paying people off) to make stuff up? To cast a "kiss and hug" (a greeting often common between friends) as something more than it was? The contention is that somehow this drama negates the recorded phone call where Trump asked them to find him eleven thousand some votes? That after Trump's racist comments about both Willis and Letitia James and his repeated attempts to attack those who hold him accountable, that this line of accusation designed to defame and humiliate Willis is completely legitimate? OK. I guess if you're completely delusional, you might believe that. None of it negates what Trump did in trying to overturn a legitimate election. He simply doesn't want to be held accountable for it, and indeed doesn't think he should have to be because he's special. No, none of it negates what Trump did. The RICO case, IMO, is a strong one. But, the allegations, IF proven, will endanger the case. The issue is misconduct, which is one of the bases of conflict of interest in a prosecution, and grounds for removal. A defendant, no matter how hateful he is, has rights. And he has the right to file a motion for removal if there’s evidence of conflict of interest. That’s what it is, whether anyone of us likes it or not. No one knows 100% what the truth is—if there was corruption or not. I don’t. I’ve already said I’m conflicted. It doesn’t mean I’m advocating for the collapse of the case. And race has nothing to do with this. Even if Willis is lily white, defense would still pursue this. No, race is just one of the ways that Trump has chosen to attack both prosecutors. Point is that he has had to have gag orders placed to keep him from doing it in other venues. He has a history of baseless attacks. You don’t think the Trump camp would pay for fake testimony that makes Willis look corrupt? When he’s already paid hush money and traded pardons for silence in other cases? You think both Willis and Wade are willing to risk losing their jobs and law licenses? (ETA: Willis’ father, also a lawyer, could lose his license as well if he perjured himself.) Maybe, but it seems more likely to me that the corruption is coming from the side where we’ve seen it come many times before. Maybe time will tell. Has anyone else testified to this supposed ongoing relationship before Wade was appointed?

1. Which "facts" did Turley bring? Remember - opinions do not equal facts. www.thenation.com/article/archive/turley-impeachment-hypocrisy/2. Your signature literally says, "all voices have a value in the conversation." Do they? Do Nazi voices have a value? And you routinely carry water here for politicians with white nationalist sympathies and insist that silencing them is wrong. The only one here who is deluded about your real feelings and intentions is you. 1. You can read it for yourself and figure out the facts and opinions. Remember - facts that undermine your narrative do not equal opinions. 2. I put that in my signature against people that were literally telling me to "sit the the fuck down and shut the fuck up" and people like you trying to pretend I support Nazis and white nationalists. Again... If you have to make up something I would do in order to have something to argue about, then you are the problem. Hon, I don't have to make anything up. You damn yourself every time you come on here to defend one of these criminals, every time you post opinions from hacks that you apparently can't discern from facts, every time you try to play the victim while defending literal nazis, Putin apologists, and worse. Poor Gia, so put upon and abused here but oddly keeps coming back for more. We all see you for what you are. Sad that you can't see it yourself. People like you have no place in decent society or conversation.

They assume that everyone is “cheating” the system, of course. I can assure you there there are indeed people who are doing so. We had someone "have Covid" 3 times in a year- they got 30 days out of work, 20 of which were PAID while we were doing distance learning and hybrid learning and whatever other messed up learning type of things that were come up with. Eta: we get 10 days a year and because of COVID we were given 10 more (not any longer tho) but only those who had Covid got to use those 10 extra days, if you didn't get covid and have to use them (because you used all your sick days already) then you were SOL. I was such a lucky dog that I got mine the Tuesday Christmas break started and was all ready to go back to work when break was over. Pissed me the hell off! Some, but again, admin seems to assume that *everyone* is.

I did pn page 2. What the US did to native Americans. What the US did to Japanese Americans during the war. What Hitler did to Jews. What happened to Armenians. What happened to Protestant Irish persons. Or unwed mothers. Exactly. This applies to so many situations, so many countries. I’ll be honest; I do not understand why the formation of Israel is different. I don’t get it. I have to agree. Like with the 1619 project and accurate history regarding native Americans, I think we should be able to acknowledge that past wrongs were done without being accused of hating the current country. But I also realize I’m not as well informed on this issue as I should be, and I have great respect both for the Jewish peas here and my many Jewish friends, students, and co-workers and their families. It’s touchy. My consistent position is that every innocent person should be able to live without fear of being attacked or bombed.

It seems more and more likely that you would condone forcing private platforms to air neo-Nazi views calling for the extermination of Jews and black people in the name of "free speech." 1. I have a couple of Athleta pranayama wraps and I wear those as robes when I first get out of bed in colder weather. In warm weather, I have a short-sleeved wrap that I wear instead - not so much for warmth as because I tend to sleep in a cami and panties in warm weather and I don't feel comfortable hanging around the house dressed in so little.
I don't use a robe after a shower - I generally take my clothes into the bathroom with me and put them on right after a shower.

They assume that everyone is “cheating” the system, of course. Right? And they’d rather #$+& everyone over in order to punish the small percentage of cheaters. Never mind the question of whether it's really "cheating" to use sick days that you are allotted for whatever purpose you deem necessary, including mental health breaks.
