I went to TM on Wednesday and the only EP they had was one pack of We Are Family (I think that was the name). Other than that it was the same old stuff; pads of Dear Lizzy Neopolitan, pads of other older American Crafts, some old Cosmo Cricket that they have had forever. I noticed in my TM that they shrank the size of the scrapping area. Several months ago they increased the size and now it's back down to the orginal size. Bummer.

Good luck! I just went through my daughters' clothes and purged a ton of stuff. It does feel like the clothes mate and multiply like crazy and I'm like you, I feel like I don't shop much.
Sometimes I will call the Lupus Foundation or the Vets and schedule a pick-up even if I don't have anything bagged up to donate. It gives me a deadline to get my behind in gear and get rid of stuff. Most of the time though I have a bag in the basement and put an item or two in there and when the bag is full I call for a pick-up.

I know how you feel. I had to pack-up my scrap room when I was pregnant with my second daughter. I put what I could in my closet and the rest went into the scary, unfinished basement. I have to make kits and scrap at the dining room table. I have to clean everything up because it is also the table we eat at and do homework at.
You are lucky to be getting a craft shed. I would love one! Congrats on your pregnancy. Once the baby is born, make sure you find a little time for yourself and scrap away!

I call the Vets or Lupus Foundation about every 6 weeks for them to come to my house for a pick-up. Our house is small and I can't have outgrown or worn out clothes hanging around. It helps my middle daughter keep organized. She is really messy.

I never drank coffee as a kid probably because it was the 70s early 80s and my parents were always complaining how expensive it was. Every time the price went up that's all they talked about. They drank it but it wasn't for kids. They wanted drinks for us that carried some nutrition - milk, orange juice etc.
I have three kids (13, 8, 6) and two of them don't really like it. The six year old likes it but she has only taken a few sips of mine. If they did like it I wouldn't let them drink it on a regular basis due to the caffeine and cost. I guess I didn't fall far from the apple tree! I'm just like my parents.

I vote tacky. They need to either not invite so many people or just have one party not three separate ones. If I had to bring food/drinks for 50 people to three parties within three months I probably would just skip all three and just send gifts.

I am looking out my window right now and looking at one of my city's major hospitals. I had all three of my babies there and I could look out from the window and see my house! We are in the flight path of the helicopter and I swear sometimes it sounds as if they are going to land on my house! We have five other major hospitals within a one mile radius (one of which is a childrens hospital)! There is a reason they call this area Pill Hill.

I shave 'em a few times a week. My next door neighbor is Ukrainian (middle aged) and does not shave. She mentioned it to me one time and said it was a cultural thing.
I've heard that some women dye their pit hair. I've never seen it but I heard about it on the radio.

I did not take any of your classes but I am glad you posted this. I know there are a few peas who would like access to the classes they purchased through TwoPeas. Do you happen to know if any other instructors will permit access their classes? Thanks!

I wouldn't bother making cookies. If I went through a house that smelled like fresh baked cookies my stomach would start to growl and I would want one. Like, really want one but I'm trying hard to cut down on my sugar intake so I wouldn't take one if offered. I would find the smell a distraction to me and my stomach.

If it is a house that I really wanted and in the school district I wanted I would cough up the $500. Especially if there are no other options and I had been looking at houses for awhile. The time I would have to invest in starting the hunt again would be worth paying up the $500. My perspective would be that I had won the house hunting battle!

I worked with a man who was married about 30 years and he and his wife brought another male, who was about 20 years younger than them into their relationship (and house they all shared a bed). He was very open about it. It worked for them.

Scotch ATG - You can get the refills at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. You can use a coupon for them.

I also use the Scotch ATG 714. After the initial cost of the tape dispenser, it is a really cheap and permanent solution to adhesive. I bought mine at Michael's and I know they sell the refills (archival or non-archival). Hobby Lobby also carries the refills.

In my area all of the big party places (lazer tag, indoor mini golf, indoor bounce house, trampoline place) are in far flung suburbs. They are all 15 - 25 miles away. I know I'm in the minority but I really hate when I see a birthday party invitation to one of these places. It means we either have a kid who is upset because we said "no" to going or we waste an entire Saturday afternoon going to a kid party. Who wants to drive 20 miles, go home and immediately turn around to pick-up your kid?
I just checked the milage to the birthday party my youngest (age 6) daughter is going to this Sat. It is 20.49 miles away. It's supposed to be a beautiful day but I won't know it because I will be indoors at yet another kid party.
My kids have been invited to so many of these parties that they got to the point that they expected one for themselves.

I have my CD's, DVD's and photo CD's all stored in a couple large binders. The binders take up almost no room. So I still kept most of them, but ditched the cases. I'm trying to get my mom to do the same with all of her music CD's. They take up 2 bookcases in her house which is just crazy. I did this too and I was amazed at how many CDs fit into my binder and my binder really doesn't take up much room. I still listen to CDs in my car so I kept a few cases to use for the car but I ditched the rest of the cases.

I bought one a few months ago. The items were nice but so many of them I know I just won't use because they aren't my style. It really was about $60.00 worth of items (at full price). I would not order one again because the few items that I did like I probably could have bought just outright and still not paid more than the grab bag.
If they offered a specific brand (all October Afternoon for example) I would consider getting one.

epeanymous said: Yup, yup, yup. And I'll add: 5. Colleges are competing to provide ever-shinier amenities, like elaborate fitness centers and dorms. Lots of construction to provide for the 21st century college lifestyle. One of my kids goes to a private college where they're tearing down 1960s-1970s buildings and replacing them with buildings that look 100 years old. (The recruiting posters will look fabulous...) Students and families have expectations based on their comparison shopping, and colleges feel the pressure to make the improvements. The shopper needs to take some responsibility for increased costs. Sigh. Yes, that too. The university where I worked decided that to remain attractive to students, it needed to have Division One sports. Which as it turns out costs money. We had to build out the gym, put in fancy new fields, and I don't even know what else. The money for that has to come from somewhere. The following is my own casual observation. I live within walking distance of one of my state's largest universities. I graduated from the university and worked there for 18 years. Over the years I have witnessed many changes. The university has added amenities such as a 200,000 sq ft recreation center, a new pool, a new indoor lazy river, rock climbing wall, renovated the student union and made it look like a state-of-art club, built new apartments (apparently Johnny and Susie can't live in dorms anymore, they want apartments). The university also took (by eminent domain) small mom and pop restaurants and bars and replaced them with chain restaurants and retail stores that sell everything under the sun. The bars don't just serve run-of-the mill draft beer, they serve 20 different kinds of "craft" (read expensive) beers. My husband and I walked to one of the new restaurants and it was expensive for us! I'm surprised college kids eat there but they do. These restaurants are always busy. I'm also surprised that the university runs a shuttle bus for the students throughout the surrounding neighborhood. It stops at the top of my street. They built a 200,000 sq ft recreation center but students can't walk to school? I'm sure I will sound old but I used to walk and lived to tell about it. I could go on and on about this. I've only listed a few of the new amenities. There are many more and I haven't even talked about the new stadium and sports they added. These are other reasons why costs have gone up so much. Somebody has to pay for lazy rivers and shuttle service.

My guess as to why Carol took the chocolate is that she just wanted it and didn't really think of the implications of taking it. I think that the lady doing the inventory (Olivia I think is her name) will notice the missing chocolate, report it and Carol will quickly make cookies with it and say she made them for that little boy. The missing guns might not be discovered. All of the handguns (which is what Carol took) were just tossed in a big pile. They didn't look organized at all. Kind of like my kids' toys. They are in a big pile and every so often I take a toy or two that they don't play with and donate it. They never miss it.
At this point chocolate is a more scarce commodity than handguns.

I think the group will come into conflict with the residents because of the chocolate that carol took. I completely agree. I wanted to yell at her, "Don't take that chocolate!"

I would ask neighbors/friends for recommendations or try Angie's List. Check with your Better Business Bureau and State Attorney Generals office and see if any complaints have been filed. I wish I had done that when my dishwasher broke. I gave a deposit on a motor and the guy never returned. It was only then that I called BBB and the state attorney's office to find out that the repair company had several complaints. I was out $250.00.
The company had a fake address and no other way to contact them other than a phone number. They eventaully would just hang up on me. Make sure they have a legitimate address! I'm still ticked off that I got burned and this was years ago.

I was 36 when my first dd was born I was 40 when my second dd was born I was two weeks away from 43 when my third dd was born
There are lots of moms around my age that live in my community. Maybe it's because I live near a big urban university and many of the moms work or worked (such as myself) at the university. I think if I went to some of the suburbs around here the moms might be a little younger.

I would not take the kids. We looked at a house when my oldest was about 5. The house had a bedroom with a bed that was covered with stuffed animals. She wanted the whole house just because of the stuffed animals. Like she didn't already have enough of her own!
