A month ago when this all started, I didn't go crazy hoarding things. I bought plenty of food, but I thought I had enough toilet paper, Clorox wipes, cleaners, etc. I thought I had enough to get by for a few weeks, thinking that the stores would be restocked. But they aren't any time I go. Even dish soap is impossible to find.
My favorite cleaner is Clorox Cleaner w/Bleach. I use it to clean the bathrooms and kitchen, and I have for years. Now, I am out, and I can't find it anywhere. I have bathroom cleaner so I am using that, but I hate the smell of bathroom cleaner.
Toilet paper...my supply is dwindling, and even if I go to a store early in the morning, the shelves are empty.
Yesterday, I went to 3 different stores just after 9 am and couldn't find any of those things.
I wish I would have stocked up weeks ago, but I felt I should leave those things for those who really needed them. Now, I really need them, and can't find them.
I wonder when we will actually be able to buy cleaning supplies and toilet paper again?

I wish we had bought more Clorox Wipes and Charmin toilet paper. We have enough toilet paper now, but we had to buy the Kirkland brand. My SO prefers Charmin. Yes, I know. He should just be happy we found 2-ply paper!! But we only have one jar of wipes. Haven’t seen any in over a month. ETA - Just T, toilet paper is getting easier to find over here. Costco usually has quite a bit couple of times a week. And they are in stock for several hours.

I had one extra under my kitchen sink. I keep one in each bathroom cabinet (2) and one in my Laundry - so I am not out, but I saw some at the grocery store the other day and bought one more to have on had, as those that I do have are not all the way full. I use the stuff every day! I spray down my kitchen sink and my dish cloths at least twice a day. My kitchen table and stove, and countertops around the sink. I do the bathroom sink and counter and toilets every day. So I do go through this stuff - and this was pre Covid-19. It's good stuff! Takes stains out of whites also. Works great on 'pit stains' on white shirts.

I wish I would have stocked up on yeast. It's about the only thing I can't get at my grocery store now.

Diet Coke.
A month ago, I stocked up on paper goods, cleaners, and toiletries. I've been building up my freezer and pantry ever since. And I get 3-5 dinner kits delivered every week. But I find that I am needing a grocery run more often than I would like because I run out of diet Coke. And I can't live without diet Coke. There is only so much you can put in your cart without looking like a freak/throwing your back out. Damn this addiction!!

LOL
Are your stores out of gin? Thankfully, our liquor aisles have still been well-stocked.

By the time we knew what was what, stores here were completely out of wipes and sanitizer. Still are. I wish I had used them before the pandemic and had a stash set aside. Would have prevented a lot of unnecessary anxiety. Also, now that poultry is so difficult to come by, I wish I had stashed a few pounds in the freezer.

The first week or so, I couldn't find chicken either. Lately, that hasn't been a problem, and now I do have some in the freezer.

The only thing I want and cannot get is rice 🤷♀️ Oh no, don't tell me that! LOL I had a giant bag of rice when this started, and it is almost gone. It is on my list for the next time I go grocery shopping.

The only thing I want and cannot get is rice 🤷♀️ Can you try an Asian or Indian grocery? They usually have a ton stocked, and huge bags. We went to the Indian grocer about a week before things went crazy and they had tons, and they usually don't have the mass amount of customers that a regular grocer would have.

I wish I had grabbed that three pack of wipes instead of a single container. There are still other cleaners available that will have to suffice.
DH uses paper towels for everything. I'm wishing I grabbed another package or at least the jumbo package instead.
So far, I haven't had a problem with anything else. Availability of things I need right now or will need soon is increasing.

Yes, I was in our Asian grocery store last week and they had rice of every variety in every sized package. No lack of rice there.

Before this started we had driven to Seattle and visited a trader joes. They make my favourite flour - white whole wheat flour but they were out. I can’t find it in Canada. I wish I’d stock piled whole wheat bread flour and whole wheat pastry flour or even whole wheat all purpose flour. Instead I was waiting to go back to trader joes. Now those types of flours are hard to find. Also, I thought I had a lot of white sugar but now I’ve gone through half and can’t find more to buy. I wish I’d bought more sugar. I got brown sugar at Costco on Thursday so that can be a sub in baking if necessary.
I thought I had a lot of dry red lentils but now we’re almost out and I can’t get them anymore.

Disposable masks. At the beginning of this, we were told it wasn't necessary for the general public. Also, more pajama bottoms. My favorite place I buy from, doesn't have as good of deals online.

I can get the huge bags but it’s more than I can store. I need ten pounds, max. Our Asian markets have 25+ lb bags but not smaller ones.

Hand sanitizer. I volunteer with Meals on Wheels and I would love to give each driver a bottle right now. I did find some online yesterday, we'll see how long it takes to get here.

Not so much hoarded but I wish we had organised a web cam for my parents. At a relatively early stage my brother searched everywhere for a camera and had no luck. It would have been an extra welcome addition to their lockdown if we could have all communicated visually.

I'm down to 4 rolls of tp - but if I run out of diet coke - COVID19 be damned - I've got to go to the store ASAP! I'm not proud - I bought 8 2-liters the last time. I would have bought more but thats all they had at the time. Cindy

I don't have any storage or pantry in my house, we use two cabinets for all of our food. Right now I have two large plastic bins holding our extra food because we don't really have the room to store it, but for now it's better than having to go out too often and then not getting what we need when we do go out.

Wish we would have bought a couple more packs of TP when we were buying supplies. Also, disinfecting wipes. I usually buy a three pack. Unfortunately, we were at the point I needed to buy them. But, I hadn’t realized it.
Paper towels, too.
