F him.
I hope every sponsor cuts him off.
Consequences for actions - including and especially hate speech.
Good for Adidas - they’ve got my patronage now.

It was never in doubt that they would cut him loose. I'm surprised it took them as long as it did.

I agree I hope every sponsor cuts him off. In my opinion Adidas waited way too long to let him loose. As soon as those words came out of his mouth he should’ve been done.

While I know some are willing to give Adidas their support, Im not sure they deserve it just yet. IMHO they only dropped him because it was going to mess with their bottom line and not because it will the glaringly obvious thing to do.

Look, there is so much racism rising in general that the specific antisemitism isn't always getting spotlighted, but man, have the antisemites been mainstreamed lately.

Is there anyone Kanye doesn’t have a problem with? And yes that is a serious question.
I went to google to see exactly what Kanye said now, I’m not quite sure which statement people are upset about. There seems to be quite a list of obnoxious, racist & antisemitic shit Kanye has said. I guess all to prove that he can say it and he won’t be silenced.
Why is anyone still listening to a man who said slavery is a choice, and when given a chance to address that & give it context on WCGI in Chicago he turned that conversation into how he learned how much people love him and he appreciates that. That’s some astronomical level of cognitive dissonance
People need to stop giving him a platform

Yeah, that was a very bad look for them, especially since they are a German based company. WTF took them so long!? I am wondering if it was due to legal stuff ? That’s possible. He likely had a contract that he thought was iron clad which was why he felt secure in saying the absolutely awful stuff he was saying. But even so, they had to know what they were dealing with when they got in bed with him in the first place. It’s not like you’d have to be a fortune teller to see that the dude is completely freaking nuts and would be really likely to go straight off the rails at one point or another.

I read an article about it today, wish I could find the link, but basically -no. He had actually been quite an ass (astonishing I know) to execs earlier this year and saying all sorts of negative stuff about the company, but they kept him on because they can sell his ugly croc type shoes for 300 a pair. I will try to find the article, I can't remember why they said it, but they could have dropped him earlier. This was solely based on the backlash they were getting.

It was never in doubt that they would cut him loose. I'm surprised it took them as long as it did. Well, sort of. I'd say it was never in doubt that they should cut him loose and have the sick feeling they waited to see if the outrage would grow or would it blow over.

I am beyond angry about what’s been going on. Took Adidas far too long.
Please Peas, consider posting and getting the word out that Spotify and Apple Music need to part ways with him as well. Their silence speaks VOLUMES about their priorities. If anyone (other than you know who) needs to be “cancelled,” it’s him.

I want to add one more thing. Not speaking out is part of the problem. Not just us Jews, but everyone. You, and you, and you included. As I said upthread, when businesses make no statements, take no action against anti-Semites, they are condoning the behavior. If you’re shrugging your shoulders and moving on without saying anything, you’re part of the problem.
I just read that anti-Semitic activities have increased 34% in the past two years. Last year there were just under 3k anti-Semitic incidents reported in the US. Imagine how many are unreported because the victims are afraid of becoming a larger target? This is absolutely, unacceptable.
Off my soapbox. Yeah, I’m pissed.

It’s not as if they really want to take a stand against anti-semitism. They probably were waiting to see which way the wind blows, if their bottom line would be hurt. And Adidas would have iron clad language in the contract about reasons for termination.

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald and Boston Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown terminated their associations Tuesday with Donda Sports, the brand management agency owned by the artist formerly known as Kanye West.
Donald and Brown signed deals with Donda Sports earlier this year to represent some of their interests outside of their sports. Both star athletes emphatically dropped the agency owned by Ye, as the music mogul is now known, amid rising international condemnation of his latest round of offensive and antisemitic remarks.
German sportswear giant Adidas also ended its extraordinarily lucrative partnership with Ye on Tuesday.
Donald, the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, signed with Donda Sports last spring after the Rams won the Super Bowl. The seven-time All-Pro and his wife, Erica, denounced West’s “displays of hate and antisemitism” in a statement announcing their decision.
“We felt a responsibility to send a clear message that hateful words and actions have consequences and that we must do better as human beings,” they wrote. “We do not feel our beliefs, voices and actions belong anywhere near a space that misrepresents and oppresses people of any background, ethnicity or race.”
Brown emphatically reversed his own tentative decision Monday to stay with Donda Sports, saying Tuesday that he will “continue to stand strongly against any antisemitism, hate speech, misrepresentation and oppressive rhetoric of any kind.”
Former NFL receiver Antonio Brown was named the president of Donda Sports in February, and he claimed the organization bought a $2 million suite for the Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium.
Donald and Jaylen Brown subsequently signed with the amorphous agency, which was supposed to represent the athletes in marketing and branding deals not related to their team contracts. Donda Sports also claimed to be “centered on professional and wellness support” in the announcement of its deal with Antonio Brown.
Donald and Jaylen Brown appear to be the only announced clients of Donda Sports, which has a nonfunctioning website and an Instagram account with over 279,000 followers and no posts.

Sooooo, they signed earlier this year? But Kanye has been making racist hateful comments since at least 2018? Did they not know Kanye was behind the company? If they did know the firm was associated with /owned by Kanye then the question is How many hateful comments is the actual tipping point?

I want to be very clear that I am not condoning his behavior. However, it seems to me that he is having a manic episode. I am not saying he just gets a free pass but he has a mental illness and so I am a bit conflicted here. I want society to take mental illness more seriously and I want society to be more compassionate towards people inflicted with mental diseases. Doesn’t feel right to me if I say I want this for all those affected with mental illness except for Kanye. Idk just the inner conflict I have had when thinking about this the last couple of days.

Are you aware of all the crap he’s been up to over the years? Unmedicated/poorly medicated/undiagnosed mental illness can be disastrous to be sure. I have all kinds of sympathy for those who struggle. He gets no more passes after ALL this time and all the nonsense he’s said and done. He chooses to spew the stuff he does, all the while apparently completely disregarding his health. Too bad, so sad. I personally don't believe he believes what he does because he chooses not to deal with his mental illness. This kind of stuff doesn’t just rear it’s ugly head out of nowhere. He simply is a hateful being to his core. Also, it says a lot about him that he has no one, not one person advocating for him. Yet he’s surrounded by those who “care” for him nearly 24/7. ETA: my anger is directed at Kanye, not you.
