I know many of you here grew up in the 70's as did I. I think we had some very cool things back then! I've always been kind of stuck in the 70's state of mind. I will admit to 'saving' a lot of things from my childhood just because they brought me joy back then. For example, my Barbies and their gear like the Country Camper. Lots of dolls too. I had some really groovy pencils in elementary school, and I can't find them to buy anywhere. I am not even sure WHY I want to have them, except they bring back good memories. I did find a picture of them so maybe that will be enough, lol. What cool 70's kid stuff do you remember fondly? Toys, food, fashions, shampoo, activities, TV shows, whatever... Oh, here are the pencils:

Well I totally had those pencils They were the special kind you could buy in the machine at recess for .25 I am a child of the 70s but I seem to relish in my teen years in the 80's more - way cooler hair, clothes, and music

I was born in 1977 so don't remember the 70's much but your pencils reminded me of something. One birthday a family friend ordered me pencils with my name on them. The company couldn't engrave them with double letters so the friend had them spell my name wrong. So growing up I had a supply of pencils with my name spelled wrong. I think I was happy when they were used up! I also really liked my Fisher Price little people and have found some at garage sales and Goodwill for my kids. They play with them sometimes but not like I did. I forgot to add I now live in a 1970's house so I live the 70s and burnt orange carpet and ugly linoleum every day

I guess I identify in the '60's but I did graduate high school in 1970. '70's is bell bottom pants!

Oh, I could go on and on! I had an Easy Bake oven, a Dancerina doll, one of those circular groovy radios, a Monkees hand puppet, Monkees albums, Gumby and Pokey figures, an Etch a Sketch, wooden Tinker toys, a Barbie Dune Buggy , Troll doll, a record player, and a Light Brite
edited to add, some of those may have been 60's stuff, it all runs together.

Oh my gosh! Thanks for sharing your Pinterest board! Libbyland TV dinners! Screwball frozen treats! Colored TP! I could spend hours and hours looking at these 70's things! I was born in '67 so I was in Jr. High/High School in the 80's, which were cool too, but nothing beats the 70's memories for me.

I always wanted that Barbie beauty head! I loved that Barbie camper. I played with it a lot, along with my Sunshine Family dolls. The dolls were pretty hippy and I'd make furniture for them out of recycled items. They even came with little booklets with craft ideas. I had the nursery, the craft store, a bike and even a two story pet house.

I didn't really play with dolls. I was more into playing outside on my Green Machine or skateboard. I loved my Lite Brite and do you remember the Spirograph?

This is what I had and I just got it back for my SO's daughter to play with. It's a little beat up, but I had a great time playing with it. I also have the purple corvette.

My parents were poor, but my grandma spoiled me silly with toys and especially dolls. I've always been a doll fanatic. My favorites were Dawn dolls by Topper, because my name is Dawn. I remember being in first grade and thinking they made the Dawn doll especially for me, haha. Yes, that sounds crazy but hey, I was 6 years old. I of course still have my Dawn dolls AND my Dawn Brunch Bag with thermos by Aladdin.

Love those pencils! I had one like that, a green one. I love the Sunshine Family house and camper. My baby brother fell on it and broke it, so my dad made me an even better one where I picked out the wallpaper for each room. But I still tease my brother about sitting on it on Christmas and it was my favorite Santa gift!

I love those pencils. We didn't have those in Canada. My mom saved my Dawn dolls and clothes for me. I didn't keep my Crissy doll tho. I cut her hair (decades ago) and it didn't grow back -- oops. Please post of you find those pencils. I did find some like that but they had marble lead too.
