It's immature, but it's hilarious. Also, does the writer of that article not have spell check? Murial? Really?

They actually just went up a notch in my book. It's no different than all the anti-left shit Ted Nugent spews at his shows.

Never liked their music and even if I did, I couldn't care less about the political opinions of entertainers.

IMO, if you pay for a concert they should shut up and sing. It's an insult to their audience members on the other side of the aisle. Anyone with brains would know that. They could be making more money but chose to be stupid instead.

I think it's pretty stupid. Why give Trump so much attention at their concert? I honestly find them super irritating (and don't even get me started on that nut job Ted Nugent--is he even considered an "entertainer" ?).
I would classify my politics as left leaning moderate, but i was actually one of those who really didn't appreciate the whole GWB thing. It colored my opinion if them and not in a good way. I wasn't crazed about it though and wouldn't have been burning their CDS (if I had any).

Picture is dumb. Love their music. Had no issue with her expressing her views about W Bush or anyone else for that matter.

The fact that you keep using their words "shut up and sing", but don't know the context in which they used them is annoying.
I think politics and music have a pretty strong history of going hand in hand.
I also think most people who pay for their concert tickets (which I have...they're fabulous live) know their politics beforehand.

My first ever concert was the Dixie Chicks and they are a blast to watch live. If you're still a fan after this many years you know what you are going to get by going to their shows.

Love their music. But that is super childish. Drawing on someone's face to make fun of him? Seems like something Donald Trump would do.

Meh; they're hardly the first entertainers to express a political opinion. I've seen worse from other entertainers. My personal beliefs aren't swayed by celebrity opinions anyway.

Mine too.....and I adore them....bought all their music after the George W comment because I felt the same way and wanted to support them and I'm pretty sure they give zero fucks about what their critics think of them. "Not Ready To Make Nice" is my favorite behind "Wide Open Spaces".

Ultimately I don't care about entertainers opinions on most things. If I enjoy their music, acting, comedy etc I'll continue to be a fan even if they GASP turn out to be a conservative. My caveats are when they cross the line into illegal and/ or pedophiliac behavior a la Woody Allen.

You say immature but it's no different than you expressing your own opinion. Or have you suddenly changed heart with honoring the First Amendment? I didn't think so. So you can just sit down and shut it!

They are missing way more than $10, honey.

Here, you should have bought this instead Obviously corporate America knows how to make a buck or two even if you think that DC don't !

And they really don't care you don't come to their concerts or buy their music. I imagine they feel they have succeeded. There is a long history of musicians using their music to express their political, religious, and philosophical view points.

Do you also condemn conservative celebrities for doing the same thing? I can't remember – did you express outrage with Clint Eastwood after his, well, whatever that was he did at the Republican convention 4 years ago?
BTW--I have tickets for their August 7 so in Austin and I cannot wait!! I'm pretty sure it's sold out...so...yeah...

You're assuming that people don't know that the Dixie Chicks express their opinions freely. Again, First Amendment! What you are saying would be just like stating that Trump et al., should keep his opinions, thoughts, outbursts to himself too. Doesn't matter if their is a paying audience or not, it's all about Freedom of Speech.
