Me: I work in the quality department for a nutritional supplement company; my primary job is to investigate the customer complaints we get (worldwide). I also help write operating procedures and I take the notes when we have external audits of our products and facility. In the past couple of years we've had auditors here from several African countries where our products are sold; it was very interesting to meet and talk with those people.
My BF: he is the VP of Operations for a family-owned company that installs wireless personal safety systems in assisted living facilities (the kind of system where the resident has a pendant to press or a pull cord to pull on if they need help, the signal gets picked up by a radio receiver in the hallway, and it alerts the care staff at the front desk). He plans all the installations, so he works closely with the construction general contractors and architects at the different sites. Their company handles assisted living and memory care facilities all across the country so he occasionally travels for construction meetings, and sometimes he also assists with on-site installations or technical support issues if they're really busy. (he used to travel about 2 weeks out of the month, so he's not gone nearly as much as he used to be.)
(our family is us, our three Shelties and our three cats; we're in the process of buying a new house, so we'll be moving in the next couple months... whew!)

It's just me, as my divorce was finalized in April. But, I sell airplane parts. Before I fell into the aerospace industry, I worked in finance. But I love where I am. It's an exciting career and I never know what my day will be like.

Some of you have fabulous jobs! I retired on health grounds when I was 36 but worked as an HR Manager in economic development until then. For the last ten years, I have taught a weekly papercrafts class to a small group of women with serious mental health issues. We had our last class ever just two weeks ago as we were unable to secure funding to continue. I'm really sad about it finishing, but as I was only taken on for 6 weeks, I think I did okay to get over ten years from it! STBXDH works for Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs as a Senior VAT Specialist. He is so innumerate, yet has worked in VAT and tax his whole career!

I've worked as an admin in various industries since leaving the military. Currently it's gaming. DH is retired from the USAF. He was very briefly a school teacher, now he works for a defense contractor. The contractor job pays much better than teaching.

I blame my grammar mistakes on the idiot who chose to do 75 through our neighborhood, hit a pothole and flipped his car. He took out the power....ughhhh. He is fine by the way, said he wanted to see how fast his car could go.
