My Husband is a retired high school administrator. He now works part time with at risk teenagers. He helps them with life skills, such as managing their money and writing resumes.
I'm a former teacher that stayed at home when the kids came along. We own several rental properties that I manage along with my husband.
Our kids are grown and out of college so life is good!

I was an accountant at a country club for 13 years, before becoming a SAHM. I now volunteer with a local animal rescue socializing animals, and at my children's former elementary school tutoring struggling first and third graders. I started when DS was in 1st grade, 11 years ago, and I've never been able to walk away. My DH is a project manager/ estimator for an electrical company. He also teaches Life Safety (fire alarms, emergency exits and lighting, etc.) for the IBEW apprenticeship.

DH is the manager of engineering for a company that builds systems that refine aluminum, but besides managing people, he also does design of these systems and has gotten several patents of his designs.
I have a master's in marriage and family therapy but I have been a SAHM since DS was born. Besides volunteer work throughout the years, I worked as a freelance writer and photographer for a local newspaper for a year and a half.

I used to work in the administration of a company selling gaskets in the oil sector (mostly accounting, human resources and a little bit of marketing). But I got tired of moving papers around and went back to college to become a teacher. This previous school year was my first year working after finishing my degree.
My husband is a computer engineer, doing mostly programming. He's working for a company in the shipping and oil industry.

Dh is in sales and deals with information concerning commercial real estate. He has done that nearly a decade and prior to that worked for a tax property tax consultant. He used the product daily that he now sells.
I have been a homemaker for 24 years. Prior to that I was a nanny for 3 years and prior to that I worked in bridal sales.

My DH was in the US Navy for 20 years, then worked another 20 years as a Correction Officer. He was retired 2 years before he passed away.

We are both law school graduates (DH also have a degree in economics). I'm a sahm now, partly because it became too difficult to combine family and work ( DH has a 3 hour commute every day, and I had 4 hours). DH just finished writing a new law that will come into effect next year, so hopefully this will mean that he won't work 10-12 hours each day for a while, only 8-10.

I am the admin/office manager in a real estate office which I love. I also serve as co-chair for a prom dress outreach at our church, sit on church council, am a member of the outreach and hospitality teams at church, and am treasurer/board of directors for our county Backpack Kids program...all of which are an ambitious way of saying I do a lot of volunteer work.
DH is in national sales in the steel industry though is transitioning to coordinating corporate training as well. He is also the SPPR (a little like the human resource dept of the church) chair at church and sits on church council.

I was a SAHM, but now the kids are grown, I just stay home(LOL). I used to have a couple spots in an antique store and have worked the floors in them for a couple years. I watched my grandaughters while my daughter worked until they started school. I used to refinish furniture and hope to get started back into that soon.

It's just me, as my divorce was finalized in April. But, I sell airplane parts. Before I fell into the aerospace industry, I worked in finance. But I love where I am. It's an exciting career and I never know what my day will be like. That sounds like a cool job... selling airplane parts.. Didn't know people just sold parts? (I love anything to do with planes!!) My first career was working for TWA and I LOVED it. Manifolds and probes and brakes, oh my! Lol I had no clue that I would love it so much.
