It's just me.
I have a degree in education and a minor in English. I spent about a decade in education and another decade in law enforcement, but not as a cop.
Seven years ago, I began writing for content sites online from home. Actually, a pea told me about the job and truly changed my course of life. I worked for two different companies but have slowly quit working for them and now write, edit and proofread almost 100 percent for private clients. I write articles on all kinds of topics and am now so busy that I subcontract out as many of my articles as possible. Since the first of the year, I have done a lot more editing and proofreading, which I love.
I am very thankful to work at home around a flexible schedule and the needs of my kids. However, like most self-employed people, I work all kinds of crazy hours.

DH is a geologist and works for one of the largest engineering companies in the world. He's in management now so he doesn't enjoy it as much as when he did field work.
I am an admin. asst. for a school district. I have a master's degree in urban planning and worked for a large, nationally known company but when our second kid came along, I became a SAHM for 13 years. Now, I walk to work, work in the same building my kids are in all day and get the same days off as my kids plus vacation days (I do work during the summer though). I love it!

This was fun to read. I am in accounting for a small business. This title I have also includes all of the small print - like if the toilet is backed up, landscaping, A/C doesn't work, etc... I am the go to. Sometimes it drives me nuts, other times it keeps me busy. I have been here for 16 years. SO is a driver/warehouse worker for a nationally owned commercial roofing company. One of the owners is fully retiring and SO will be going with him to the west coast to visit the branches there. They did this same trip earlier this year for the east coast branches. I also clean my grandmas house on Saturdays and SO does a lot of side jobs (anything with contracting, painting, landscaping and just general fixing). We do some of those side jobs together.

Dh would have liked to become an accountant but followed in his dad's footsteps as dispatcher at a concrete plant for years. As we got married and started planning for a family, he left that job in pursuit of something that offered job security along with a better paycheck and benefits. He worked for the dept of corrections for 20 years doing a job he pretty much hated for most of that time. In the past several years he became TAC officer, worked the computer and trained other officers on the system, which he really enjoyed. I worked various positions in banking over the years - teller, head teller, mortgage processing, customer service, branch manager. I became a SAHM while I was pregnant with ds17. I'm able to stay a SAHM because of dh's determination to provide for us. I'm very involved in women's ministry and am a potential future author. You would make a wonderful author!! Put me on the buyer's list, please!

DH and I own a small sign company. We do vehicle graphics, sandblasted foam and redwood signs, banners, posters, pretty much anything except electrical signage. He worked for another sign company and I worked for my dads sign company while in college. We met through our respective businesses. When Dad closed up shop due to health issues that led to serious financial issues, we opened our own shop. August we will have been open 16 years. www.facebook.com/DS.Sign.Company/
