Hi ladies! I just started reading this thread after talking to my sister. She said to check out the gorgeous projects you are all doing.
I have been on a crochet kick lately. This month, I finished a cardigan. It came out too big for me so I gave it to my sister. It's strange that it came out too big. I'm a tight crocheter so I had to increase my hook size by 1 mm to get the gauge right. Hmm? It was suppose to be an oversize cardigan but this was really too big and I hit all the right measurements.
I'm also finishing up a baby cardigan for my niece. I just have to sew buttons on it. I'm also making little booties. One set in the same yarn as the cardigan and the other in Christmas colors.
I'm also making candy canes as quick little projects. I need to get red yarn for them.
I have plans to start gifts for next Christmas.
If I knew how to post pictures from my phone to here, I would share.

Wow! I absolutely would not have the patience for that! Years ago I knitted a clown doll for a friend’s child. It had loads of accessories like a walking stick, flower, hat etc. I said at the time never again! There is just so much work involved in that village. evnimom To add a photo go to reply then go to desktop under the reply box and then go to add attachment and upload your phone pic.

Did you have to post that gillyp? Now I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to justify it. What I can make with it. I love the sparkles so much.

I’m making good progress on my blanket but not enough to justify another purchase.

I've been eyeing this because it's sparkly Wolltraum Glitter The I feel Love colourway is gorgeous. Not sure what I'd make with it though.

They are pretty lainey. I do have some white glittery yarn in my stash that was supposed to be made into cardigans for my dgds this Christmas past but life got in the way. I’ll havd to think of something else for them.

Thanks gillyp (I'm not sure how to tag here but I hope that did it) However, I pea on my laptop and I have never tried to upload pictures from my phone to the laptop. I'm not a fan of tapatalk either. I started my sister's Christmas gift last night. I got the main part of it done. I started two of the other pieces that go along with it today. I kept thinking that something didn't feel "right." Then I realized I was working with the wrong hook. I'll rip that out tonight and start again. It's really quick so I'm thinking if I make at least one a month, I'll have a whole collection of gifts for everyone on my gift list. Sorry I can't share what it is since she reads this thread.

I like a bit of glitter, but I have used the regular Sirdar Colourwheel & I didn't like it at all, very thin and very scratchy feeling, I made a cowl with it that I posted on a previous thread. The colours are pretty, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Oooh, I love that cowl. I bet it will keep your face very warm. I hate how the cold makes it hurt to breathe. That cowl would prevent that too. I got this email today for e-craft-book sale here. It's a BOGO. Thinking of buying one book because it has a nice hooded scarf. But I'm not seeing anything else that I really want. (I hope I linked it right)

Sooo, I hadn't planned on starting anything new just yet, but I went to visit a friend this weekend, and wanted something to work on in the car as it is 4+ hours each way (DH was driving). Neither of my WIPs were really suitable for travelling with - lots of colour changes etc - so I pulled out one of my stashed (eek!) Whirls and settled on a pattern. I'm making a scarf based on a free stitch pattern from MyPicot. Here's where I got to: That's 4 repeats - I'm estimating I'll get between 26 and 30 repeats total. Usual late night photography means the colour isn't too accurate and you can't really tell that the colour change has actually started. I'm using the Slice o' Cherry Pie colourway.

I'm making a scarf based on a free stitch pattern from MyPicot. Here's where I got to: Beautiful! I actually bought that pattern (Liula) to use with a Wolltraum ball before I found out there was a free version I haven't started it yet though. I feel like I'm breaking up your crochet group by posting but here are some painted rocks I did recently Definitely not! I love seeing your rocks. I'd be so excited to find one, no doubt you make a lot of people happy with those. The book ones are so detailed. You know what might be fun...keep the book cover the same and replace words in the title with 'rock'...To Kill a Rock-ingbird, Where the Wild Rocks Are...etc.

LOVE your painted rocks, especially all the ones with book titles. They’re awesome. I hope all the Peas who post on the weekly book thread come in here and get to see these.

Beautiful! I actually bought that pattern (Liula) to use with a Wolltraum ball before I found out there was a free version I haven't started it yet though. Ugh, sorry you got burned like that, the price for that pattern seems kinda outrageous to me considering that (AFAIK) all they did was add a DC edge to the free stitch pattern. I'm all for designers being paid for their work/time, but that just seems ridiculous. Anyway, the pattern is very easy. I've made a few mistakes - some frogged, some fudged - but once you get the hang of it you can mostly just read the previous row to work out what you're doing as you go. The only thing you have to remember is when to start the new leaves. betty your rocks are amazing, you have some serious talent!

betty your rocks are fabulous! I really enjoy seeing them. You are very talented. There were a couple of news items at the start of the year over here showing groups of schoolchildren who had just Started rock painting. They were so excited to leave theirs and watch for someone to pick them up! I love seeing all crafts. I hope everyone keeps posting their creations.
