I have a terrible time remembering names of people I don't know well. I can't for the life of me remember my new hairdresser's name. I can see her face, the name is gone.

Nice job on those cards! They actually look quite vibrant on my computer. That looks like a lot of work.

You go girl! This would be so cool, but I have so many unmounted stamps. Still, if I did it a little at a time...

I use pencils with Gamasol. As much as I love Copics I can't afford to invest in all of the colors I need. What is gamasol? I have not heard of this...

They're also good to frame a small section of printed paper, or make mini collage accent. I love this idea!

I'll post the challenge on the 1st and 15th of each month. So you would have 15 days to complete a layout. You get to decide what is old and what is new in your stash. I've never been a trendy scrapper because I can never remember who made the paper or products I've used on a layout. I also don't know if what I am buying is a new release or something that's been in the store for a while. If I like it, I use it; I don't care how old it is. I am this way too. I've never done a challenge before, so I'm excited to try one!

That does look good. But when you have several(no I won't say exactly how many) hundred stamps that is a lot of shelving. Haha, I know. But in my dream scraproom, I would have room for all those shelves on the wall, and be able to keep all my favorite, most used stamps on a special shelf closest to my reach. Just think of all the dusting you would have to do with them all out on shelves. That idea cured me of wanting them out, but I once thought I would.

I "unmounted" a lot of my stamps, except for really large ones to save space. I'm not sure I would do that again, but oh well. I used to keep all my sets together and I had stamped pages for a catalog. It wasn't really well done, and I still had trouble finding what I wanted. I bought some of those 12x12x3 clear plastic boxes that have a hinged lid at Joanns and I store my stamps in those now, by category. When I want a flower, I go to the box marked flowers, then I can see nearly every flower stamp I own. I still want to redo my stamp catalog, but just haven't wanted to start that. It's a big project, I have 10 of those boxes full.

What about watercolor pencils? I'm sure they probably won't be as saturated as copics, but I've used them on card making with a water pen with success.

This is an awesome thread! I want to do a weight loss journey, but...well, I have to lose the weight first! ETA: I didn't realize this was an older thread, imagine my surprise at finding I had posted on it! I would like to add that I want to do a book about me, favorites, personality, how I deal with my myriad of health issues. I also want to finish my wedding album (married 28 years this year) and a Halloween album.

Has anyone tried thinned acrylic paint for splattering? I don't want to go buy a bunch of misters when I already have lots of acrylic paints leftover from my tole painting days.

Shopping. Definitely shopping. Then organizing everything. My weakness is getting started. It seems I have to dink around with the photos forever before I can come up with a design.

AC this to that, using up my stash of glues before I get anything else. I am intrigued by the ATG. I always thought it would be really cumbersome.

Wow! Great ideas! I really like the framing of words idea! I have a bunch of different colors, and I had never thought to distress them or cover them with paper. I'll have to try that. Thanks everybody!

There is a product out there, not sure if it STILL is, because I've had mine forever. It's called Un-du adhesive remover. You can use it to remove stickers, tape, photo squares, etc. and it doesn't damage the paper or photo. They demo'ed totally saturating a photo to show how it won't harm it. I only have about 1/3 of my bottle left, so I hope they still have it. Anyway, if they won't stop putting stickers on, you can get it all the way off with that product. It comes with a scraper attached.
eta: It's called The Scrapper's Solution by Un-du

I have seen these talked about on 2peas before. I have never seen these. Do you actually pour the sauce over the buns and everything? Doesn't this make the rolls soggy? I have never tried to make these, because I was afraid I'd ruin it by doing something wrong. Everyone seems to rave about them, but I can't get past the soggy bread.

I have one by Marvy/Uchida called Bistro. I've only used the white. I wish it came in a finer tip, but it works great on dark paper. I think it is probably what they use on chalkboards you see at restaurants like Chili's.

While I do understand why these people are basically abandoning their children because of the conditions in their homeland, why is it our responsibility to take care of them? I'm not being snarky or judgemental, I seriously want to know why some people think that it is our responsibility? How can these people live with themselves sending small defenseless children into another country without anything? To me that is abandonment. Now we are supposed to spend billions of dollars that we need for other things (funded by the average American and not the elite 1%) to take care of this issue. Okay, off my soapbox. I'm right there on the soapbox with you. It does seem like there are so many variables though. So many reasons why. I want to say with greater prosperity comes greater responsibility. It's hard when my tax dollars are paid for this when my own family struggles to put kids through college, and we can't afford health premiums.

I have used powder, but I can't get it to look right, or it could be user error . I have used the Maybelline eyebrow pencils for years. I am blonde, and they have a good match for me in "Blonde" (go figure!) They are red, with caps and come two to a package, about 5 inches long. I like them not only for the shade, but they are hard enough to hold a point after sharpening, which makes making short, thin strokes possible. They've been around for years, my mom got me started on them when I was a teen. They aren't very expensive if you want to try them. Less than $5 for two.

Seriously, dry shave that stuff. It will NOT grow back thick and dark - that's an old wive's tale. Just take a little razor and lightly shave in the direction of hair growth. It will come back still very light and fine, and you just shave it again. I agree. I have a "moustache" but I'm blond, so you can't see it. It bugs me though, so I got up the nerve to try and shave it, and it works. It does NOT come back thicker or darker. I have peach fuzz on my jawline too, but I use both liquid and powder foundation and it doesn't seem to accentuate it.
eta: I guess that doesn't help if you have darker hair though, beyond just staying on top of it. Have you tried a depilatory? Maybe one of those might work for you...like Nair, or I'm sure there's more out there. You might want to look into the NoNo hair remover. It's on TV and I don't know if it really works or not, but they show women using it on their face.

I know exactly where you are coming from. I have 3 brothers, no sisters. I don't live in the same state as my mom or brothers and their wives. I had hoped to have a closer relationship with my sister-in-laws, but it's not turning out that way, and I think it's just because of proximity. I used to be closer to my mom, but she has withdrawn over the last few years. I think she is suffering from depression, but will not admit it. I have two dd, and I was so happy that they each get to have a sister. They have fought terribly in the teenage years, but now my older dd is 21 and younger is 15, so they do better. I have had to rely on close girlfriends to get me through. Even those are hard to come by. I have tons of nice aquaintences, and just a couple of good friends. This is why I love 2peas! We are a sisterhood here!
eta: See! I hadn't read all the replies, and the 2peas sisterhood has already been mentioned! Great minds (and friends) think alike!
