LOL-I'm too much of a lurker for any fellow pea refugees to notice my absence. I do talk about y'all a lot, though. This.

jI'm planning for a cooking day of getting some things in the freezer for quick meals, and I want to get some things prepared that I can use for quick lunches. I'm trying to diet a bit and would like things to top salads with, and I can't come up with things besides grilled chicken, boiled eggs, or sliced cheese. I need protein because I'm diabetic and carbs are not so good. Any good ideas? If you have any great salad dressing recipes, that would be great too. Thanks for your help!

I love them! But seldom use them :/ I thought they were quite easy to line up using the guide. I always punch first from the middle of my pp. Why in the world have I never thought of starting in the middle?! OMG I feel so stupid...

I get stuck on the computer with 2peas or pinterest or shopping, etc. All my stuff is in this room, but I struggle too. I, too, love all my stuff. The hardest part for me is coming up with layout ideas. That takes so long! So then I go online to get ideas, sketches, etc., and before I know it, 3 hours have gone by and I'm still on the computer! AArrgghh!!

I am just getting started with making my own embellies. I save pics of things I see to my computer. Why I didn't think to make a pinterest board is beyond me. I have a board for everything else under the sun! Love the work shown and all the ideas. Thanks for the links also. So much to explore! And it doesn't hurt that it saves a bunch of money to make your own!

I like Tresseme Deep Clean. Smells like watermelon, but it's subtle. My hair has turned oily too and I hate it.

I have decided that teenagers are really just giant toddlers just with a larger vocabulary. They whine, they pout, they have temper tantrums, they complain, they play with their food, they smell funny...the list goes on and on. *sigh* The only difference now is that I can't pick them up and put them in time out. (ETA: because I hit the button too soon) I couldn't agree with you more. My last one is going to be the death of me.

Many, many times I have dreamed of having the splurge you are going to have! Maybe someday... I still enjoy buying scrapbooking stuff, so I've had a few deliveries from ebay recently. I am expecting a few cricut cartridges soon.

Certain medications can make you have really weird dreams. I had giant lobsters chasing me in one. Most of my disturbing dreams are things like, it's time for a final exam in college but I've never gone to class, or I can't find the building I'm supposed to be in, and my teeth shattering. I will also have relationship dreams like a serious falling out with my dh or things like that. Those feel so vivid sometimes that when I wake up, that awful feeling stays with me well into the day. Quite frequently my dreams affect my moods. I only seem to remember those kinds of dreams. I don't remember good ones!

I'm 47 and still get acne from hormones. If it's on your chin, it's hormonal. I have two little ones right now. It seems like they take forever to go away!

I always reread all the books before another new one comes out. I lost track of time now that the new one is out, but I have already reread the first one and will go through the others again before I read the new one. Looking forward to the series!

I didn't get this on 2peas, but from my dad, but I know you'll love it anyway as corn season is upon us shortly! Take an ear of corn still in the husks. Put it in the microwave, no dish, no plastic or anything. Microwave for 4 minutes per ear of corn. Take them out and hold with a hotpad while you cut off the stalk end about 1 inch from the bottom of the ear. It is important to cut into the rows of corn so you clear where the silks are attached. Grab the top end and squeeze like toothpaste. You corn pops out perfectly cooked AND NOT A SINGLE SILK clinging to the cob. It's awesome!

So far this year I have canned: 14 pints of cherry preserves 52 quarts of green beans 24 pints of tomato juice 14 pints of salsa 20 pints of relish 7 pints lime pickles and frozen: 4 quarts of tomatoes 21 quarts of yellow squash 8 pints of spinach 7 quarts of green beans and 2 gallon bags of sliced jalapeno peppers. Needless to say our garden has been fantastic this year! Holy smokes, girl! You have been busy! What kind of green beans do you grow? And do you live in the south for such great results at this time in the season?

I have several fruit trees (apple, peach, cherry, almond) and a garden, so I do quite a bit of canning. I've only done cherries and cabbage so far this year. Still waiting for our first tomatoes! I can salsa every year, we go through quarts and quarts of it during the rest of the year.

I can some, freeze some (I have a vacuum sealer which I love) depends on my mood). I water bath can, not pressure cooker can, Ifind it too intimidating - anyone have any advice on that method? It is not hard at all. Just get yourself a good pressure canner (not a pressure cooker), the kind that have metal to metal contact (no rubber gasket) is best and lasts the longest. All American is an excellent brand. If you want to can vegetables or meat, you MUST use a pressure canner, not a water bath canner. I just canned cabbage from our garden last night (first time), not sure I'm happy with it, it turned out quite dark, but that is expected when it cooks so long in the canner. You have to pay attention to elevation recommendations, for example I am at 5000 feet above sea level, so I have to use a heavier pressure and longer time. There are tons of videos on it at youtube, and if you get an All American, it will have meticulous instructions and recipes. I promise, it's not hard though!

I think fruit and vegetables are equally healthy, but as a diabetic I have to be careful with fruit, and always have protein with it. That may help you feel full longer too.

forgive me, testing here, I'm having an issue with the color I pick being the one that shows up.eta: It comes up orange even though I have had hot pink successfully up until now. I check the color, and it shows up in the preview correctly, but when I create thread it changes on it's own. eta2: Now that I have edited outside the brackets, the part inside the brackets has changed to black. What am I doing wrong? When I check the color code where you actually choose the color, it reads correct. Can someone check in theirs for color e61973 and see if it shows up hot pink for you? Like I said, it previews correctly, but posts wrong.

My text color keeps changing to orange, even though I had it set to a hot pink. I even went in and did the whole bbc code thing again, previewed it, and it showed correctly. When I hit create thread it changes to orange. I don't like orange!

[/font] I would have tried to vacuum the web with the hose attachment and never thought about it. But now I'm thinking of millions of creepy crawlies in my vacuum and finding a way out.
I use my electric knife to slice pot roast. If I try to slice it with a regular knife it just tears everything apart. Be sure to cut against the grain. Love the other tips for the electric knife!
