flanz, jeremysgirl, and naby64 (if you are ordering too), make sure when you get it to slather it on under the eye. It's SO refreshing to me. I hope y'all love it as much as I do. Now if the Pea that originally recommended it to me could only pop in here and identify themselves.

Glad it went well! And the ice is awesome for sure. I also find a Tylenol works great. I took one dose and was fine. Praying for the results!

Oh my word, I can't believe you posted this. I just got back from walking the dogs. Before I left, I set my eye cream jar next to my eye pad because I was going to come back and thank the Peas for introducing me to Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this stuff. I slather it on thick. It's green and does soak in. I usually do it before I go to bed, and my eyes look so much better in the morning. On nights I forget, I slather it on in the morning (like today), and it helps. I have used many, many eye creams and spent a lot of money. This by far is the best ever IMO and just feels so good. I just wish I could remember the Pea that introduced me to it. Thank you, thank you!

Sorry you had to have one that way too. Thanks. That's very kind. I had to go to a center where I could get it lying down because I've fainted just getting regular mammos, let alone a mammo-biopsy combo. Grateful for the science, but wish we could hurry up and invent those Star Trek medical tricorders. Oh gracious, and we both have fainted. Glad to know I am not the only one. That stupid mammo machine! Yep, we need some new inventions. Praying for you this morning cindyupnorth!

Oh dear seaexplore. I am trying not to smile because I get it. @zingermack, yes the mammo assisted are hard. Who wants to be in that thing for THAT long. And from the side--I will never allow that direction again because wow, there is no breathing possible that way for that long. Sorry you had to have one that way too.

Oh goodness Patter! I'm glad I'm having mine done via US, and then they do the mammo afterwards. I hope I don't bleed like Michelle! Though I think the mammo tech that will be there is my friend. I break out from any sort of tape, so I'm glad you guys extra warned me about that! I know. Mine was so deep they couldn't do it that way. It was either try again in August or just go for a lumpectomy. I opted we try again but from a different position. I am thankful (especially since it was benign) that I tried again instead of the lumpectomy. Also, I did not bleed or bruise, and I have a blood condition. They rinsed internally with saline to wash out the blood so no problems there whatsoever. They also glued my incision. Nothing to breakout from (which I do also). A doctor friend of mine did my biopsy. Quite embarrassing when he walks in the sanctuary knowing he has seen a bit too much of me. LOL!

I have had two this year (one in February and one in August). What no one told me was that at our location, they use the regular mammography machine instead of an ultrasound guided biopsy or the table option. The one I had in February, they took the biopsy from the side of my breast. I am a deep, slow breather. In that position of the mammo machine, I could not breathe. I had to take small, shallow breaths and I fainted from hyperventilation. Then the one in August, they took from "above"--on top of the breast coming down with the needle. I had 12 core biopsies in August, and it was a piece of cake. NOTHING like the one in February. Also, because I am short, I am thankful I had my little stool with me or my feet would dangle, and it would have been even worse. I asked them in August, if they have a stool for short people like me to rest their feet, and they said no. If you are of short stature, take a stool! Swinging of the legs would not be good IMO.
I had the same area tested in both instances--very center of the left breast close to the chest wall. Both times it came back benign. Praying it's the same outcome for you. Hugs!

You are SO sweet doing this. My heart goes out to her as this is nearly identical to what happened to my daughter. She never had a mentor either. She is now in her 2nd full year. It has been hard, and we have had many tears. I just sent her a link to this thread, and this is what she said:
"Organization bins. Those are like a must. Without those you can’t figure out how to organize things. I know for me it helps greatly to have everything labeled and easily accessible. Also a handwritten card. I know when I get a handwritten card, it makes my day! Remember, I didn't have a mentor when I first started, and it was awful!!"
And since all of the organization bins had been purchased, I ordered her the flat storage trays that will be delivered on Tuesday. Thank you for doing this for her. May she be blessed beyond words by all that she receives for her precious students. Thank you for doing this!!!!

If you go Lexus or Acura you will have better luck with repairs, repair costs and parts availability should anything go wrong. But both are super reliable so not much goes wrong. DH always tells people who buy Audi, BMW or Porsche to put away extra cash for repairs and/or consider getting the extended warranty. Stay away from Land Rover. Be aware too that many of the uber luxury brands have weird things that require you to go to a dealer (and only a dealer) for certain services/repairs including what may seem simple like an oil change. Tesla for example. So be sure to look at that. Yeah, thats where we are at with my BMW. Even though it only has 65K miles, its getting to *always* be something. We had 4 BMWs, and only one did we have an issue but it was still under warranty. Though with that said, I probably wouldn't get another one because the nearest dealer is over an hour away, and I refuse to drive that far for free oil changes/maintenance. Can't wait to hear what you think of the Cayenne and Macan. Hubby and I have never had problems with our Porsche's either. Have fun. Don't let the "space ship" controls scare you. Everyone comments on it when they go in my car but it's easy peasy. It's basically the same controls for each side. I can push buttons without even looking and get it right (well except the cool seats/heat seats). Have to look down for those. Why I mix those up, I don't know. LOL!

That flowered fabric is gorgeous on that apron Patter Thank you. It's cotton decorator fabric that I got a roll for $4. I have many yards. I figured the full apron in that floral could have been too much so I used it for accents. But I may make another reversing the colors--floral for the body and dot/check for the pocket and straps.

I loved the Mercedes GLE, and also the smaller GLC, but ultimately went with the Tesla as I really wanted all electric. I see the faults in the Tesla so unless you really want electric, and speed (I LOVE the acceleration, lol), I would definitely consider the Mercedes. Looked at the Porsche but it was like an airplane cockpit inside with all the buttons and dials. The iPace is nice but my DH had a F-Type and the Jaguar service was horrible. My friend loves her Range Rover, but again, Jaguar service. While it does look like that, it is SUPER easy to navigate. I had a Volvo XC90 followed by a BMW X5, and now my Porsche Cayenne S. LOVE it. I purchased it new 6 1/2 years ago, and it still looks brand new, and it has never had a problem. I generally never keep cars this long but I love it and am in NO hurry to trade it. I told hubby when I do trade, I may move down to the Porsche Macan S. But I do love the size of my Cayenne. We are car people, and LOVE cars. Try the 'S' model out pulling out on the freeway. You can go 0-60 in a millisecond, and I love the sound of my engine. Ha ha.

I have owned several Dansko clogs over the years and have never heard of that. I am only familiar of many people rolling their ankles in the clogs. Ha ha. I've been there and done that many times in lots of different shoes. I obviously have trouble walking.

I wonder what would Danskos say if you would contact them? I have had shoes do that too.. I think mainly because I didn't wear them a ton?? But literally fell apart on me while wearing. But if I had paid a ton of money for them.. I might ask the company if they could do something for a fee.. or take them to a 'cobbler' or shoe repair store and see if they can be saved. From what I have read on the web, people have contacted Dansko only to be offered a coupon code for another pair of shoes. No thanks, and they can't be repaired. I didn't think it looked like they could be, and others also said they were not able to be repaired. It probably would cost more to take them to a cobbler to repair anyway. Oh well. At least I know this happens now. I did wear the identical pair but in brown yesterday with no problem. They are the same age and same amount of wear.

I am always fearful when I am behind a PU carrying things that may fly off. I fear trucks with lots of pipes stacked on the bed as well. Me too including logs, etc. I really try to stay away from most trucks (dump truck too). Spongemom Scrappants glad you are okay, and thank you for sharing. I will now be even more diligent than I have been and share with my family.

Yes, @bergdorfblonde and flanz it was very weird as it happened. If I had been out and about, I probably would have fallen. Thankfully, we are all good. And I do think the high humidity may make it worse. I did read that somewhere also. And so sad it has happened to so many other brands I like (though I only have a few Naot).

I agree gar . Some of the challenges can be quite off the wall. There’s nothing wrong with going back to basics and showing how do to something simple very well IMO. Yes, I agree. I love that we are able to watch this now in the U.S. instead of later. I told hubby the other night that some of these challenges are just crazy. They need to go back to basics a bit. Not everyone can build a cake that defies gravity, etc. Instead why not just make it taste incredible and look amazing?

This isn't the same, but I hired our cleaning service to pack for us on our last move. Moving companies are notorious for poor packing skills (especially NOW in Covid season) and I really wanted my stuff to come out of boxes unbroken and undamaged. Anyway, I booked our cleaning service for the whole day and I worked along with them, directing traffic and labelling boxes. They wrapped and packed. I don't remember the exact price, but it was around $1,000 for 3 girls from 8 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It was great. We got everything packed within one day, I booked them for two days ahead of the move, and then had a friend come over the day after the move and we emptied every single box. I spent about 2 days putting things on shelves and voila! Moved in with minimal down time. That was genius! And I have had moving companies pack and completely move us but they were all company moves so paid by them; not me. Years ago, hubby and I moved 10 miles to a new house. We did it all ourselves but I LOVE the cleaning service idea instead.

They may have been that old but they were not worn very much. I only worn them occasionally in the winter. I LOVE shoes so they get switched out a lot. No shoe is worn that often. But it is interesting to see how many people have had it happen and with other brands. I hope I don't see this happen again but it will certainly make me think twice about buying shoes. I never pay full price but . . . I think that materials like that are just going to have a limited life. They can degrade over time in ways that more traditional soles don't, even without being worn much. In fact, I wonder if that might make it worse as they could become more brittle without frequent use/movement. Yeah, I don't know. As I said, I have many shoes. Some get worn a bit more than others but for the most part, they all get a "little" wear because I always switch up what I am wearing. So, in theory most of my shoes should then fall apart. LOL! I have been wearing another pair of Dansko's today identical to the ones in the photo just brown. They were purchased at the same time. So far, so good. We will see as the day goes on. The others disintegrated within 30 minutes of having them on.

Sorry that happened. I guess I think 8 years is a pretty good life for a pair of shoes. If you otherwise like Danskos, I guess I wouldn't abandon the brand because a sole fell apart after that long. That happened to me once, I don’t recall what brand. It was the fall and my summer shoes were put away and my winter ones came out. One day I notice black crumbs all over the room and discovered my soles were disintegrating. That's exactly how it started--black crumbs across the house. Really weird. Just thankful it happened in the house instead of at work. I was headed to work for the morning.

I had a pair of shoes do that to me. Can't remember the brand but they were favorites. I was so sad. Now I carry a pair of leather flip flops with me in my car/backpack (#teacherlife) just in case of shoe failure. Yes, I was thinking I may need to keep an extra pair of shoes in the car now. Gracious.
