I posted years ago on a thread that my fav Dansko sandals did that--the thick sole split near the heel. They were several years old and worn often, but Danskos had a reputation for lasting practically forever, so I figured it was a fluke. I have a similar pair now that are a few years old but not worn as often as I no longer work. But since I've heard it's not so uncommon, I won't buy another pair. So sad. I won't be buying more either.

I was whining about this on my ista a few months ago. Except they were Naturalizer. Oh dear. I am sorry you had it happen too. I need to make the move to wooden shoes. LOL!

That doesn't look like a "crumble" to me, it's more like an earthquake! Oh goodness, that gave me a giggle.

This is surprising. I have two pairs of Dansko clogs that have saved me from bunion surgery, and neither of them have crumbled over 10+ years. They just keep going and going. Could the newer Danskos be less reliable? Maybe not sure. All of my other Dansko's, Alegria's, and Sanita's keep going and going but now I will have to watch for this. I read on another site that humidity can cause the soles to break down faster. I live in a very humid place. Previously I was in TX where it was not as humid as where I am now. I wonder about that now that I read about the humidity causing it. Hmmmmm?

Bummer your shoe crumbled on you like that. The 'crumble' has been going on for quite a few years now. When I was selling on eBay about 6 years ago, it was a common complaint in the seller's group I belonged to. Unfortunately, it's not just Dansko that crumbles. Just last summer DH had a pair of hiking boots crumble and then the sole came completely unattached from the boot! How old was this pair? I am not sure how old they are--maybe 8 years. And I had never heard of it until it happened and then saw the complaints when I did a google search. It's sad because the leather is still in excellent shape! Sorry about your hubby's boots. I hope this doesn't happen to any of my other shoes.

"The Dansko Crumble." What's that? It's when you put on one of your favorite pairs of Dansko shoes and they crumble as you walk. It was an unknown to me until yesterday morning. If you google it, you will see this has happened to many people. I will no longer buy Dansko's. So sad but if you own a pair (or more than one), watch out for the crumble!

I have no tips sadly, but you will get used to them! I've worn progressives for over 10 years, love them . If you have ongoing problems, make sure to check in with your optician. My last pair had to be remade 3 times (sigh). They kept placing the reading prescription too high into the distance portion of the lenses.Yes, this! They put mine too low and need to raise the reading portion.

Our 15 year old dog can no longer hear, has cataracts but can still see a bit, has trouble jumping on the couch, eats fine, and still seems happy. I have not even considered anything different for him yet. He does need to go out a LOT now though for some reason. His bladder just does not much anymore.

My husband switched to these a couple of years ago for his new profession. The first brand he had did not do well over time but he bought a brand that a lot of his co-workers have used, and it seems to be really nice. It has held up very well. qalo.com

What do you spray on them for fading, Patter ? I use a UV Fabric Protector spray. They still will fade over time but not as fast. Maybe get another 1-2 years. Some of my wreaths are over 9 years old, and I am still using them. The ones of my front porch last much, much better because they are more protected from the elements. The other ones hang out of fence gates and are really out in the elements. And malibou I hope you have fun looking.

The Wreath Depot wreaths are my favorite. I have many. I have some that are out in full sun for a few years before they start to fade but they are out in snow, heat, wind, etc., and hold up nicely. If I get any news ones, I am going to spray them for fading first so they will last even longer. I usually buy the ones on clearance. I check their site and Amazon's to see which is cheaper (by the name of the wreath I like). You never know which place will have a particular wreath cheaper at any given time.

Ha! I follow "medicaltalks" on IG. Almost every photo is fuzzed and says "sensitive content; this photo may contain graphic or violent content." I always look. The hand that went through a meat grinder was the most "wow" I have ever, ever seen. I discuss these with my daughter in med school. She also follows them. But I guess I do get feet. Feet are nasty! So I of course had to go check out the IG account. That meat grinder one…..wow. Could have done without the bot fly one though. I am cracking up! Oh dear. So now the question is are you now following that account?

My girls and I have played for years. We were in an orchestra together for 3 years, and LOVED it!!! We all miss it so much. We play:
Myself: Flute/Alto Flute/Piccolo and dabble in Oboe and English Horn; I also sing DD#1: Oboe and Bassoon DD#2: Saxophone (all sizes), guitar, and bass guitar DD#3: Clarinet and bass clarinet
We all took piano too but we are not very good at it. LOL!

I had a dog that started having seizures at age 3. They never could find the cause. He was on many different meds to try to get them to stop but they only got worse. We had to put him down at age 4. It was horrific. I am sure there are meds that can help your little pup especially since you haven't had to use any yet in all of these years. Hugs and prayers!

I am so sorry. I pray she is better this morning. When one of our papillons did that, he was in congestive heart failure. I pray that's not the case for your precious. Hugs to you all! My other papillon will be 15 in November. He is at my feet right now but I worry about him too. 15 is old for these pups.

Once mine are almost ripe (usually the day after I buy them), they go in the refrigerator. They keep several days there. I buy two at a time and eat within the week.

A neighbour might have the same remote and code. Try changing and reprogramming all of the remotes. Exactly. That's what happens to us.

Completely alone in July 2021: 485 miles one way.
I have also driven 1,190 miles one way with only someone else driving for 2 hours of that very LONG trip. We did it yearly for about 12 years.

Migraine household here for 40+ years (kiddos too). One of my daughter's has been on Botox and now Aimovig (which is working for her now) but our immediate go to is simple--a migraine wearable ice pack. LOVE our ice packs. When hubby sees me with it on, he knows what is going on. I may look funny but man is it wonderful, wonderful relief. Amazon sells many different kinds. Hugs to him! I have been having daily headaches for several weeks now. Hate them!
