I am so f’ing sick of and disgusted by his ads…and I don’t even live in his state. They are on all the time. Our local stations viewing area also includes NH, so many of the ads are geared toward NH voters. One of the latest poll results (although the accuracy is being disputed by many) have Bolduc at 48% and Maggie Hassan at 47%. That is very surprising and somewhat concerning.

Up until a year ago or so I always had a clock radio but when the alarm stopped working I got rid of it and never got a new one.
I now use my phone and Alexa (kind of like a two factor authentication, this is my two factor alarm. 😉). I set my phone and then Alexa for like 10 or 15 minutes later.
Weirdly, though, when using my dot/Alexa I need to use the timer function. For some reason when I use the alarm function I either shut it off/end it without really waking up or something. 🤷🏻♀️ Not sure why but it works better when I use the timer, so I have to figure out how many hours and minutes to set it for. 😆

Vermont - HIGHLIGHTS per ballotpedia: we have 2 ballot questions. The Vermont State Legislature voted to refer an amendment to establish a right to personal reproductive autonomy and an amendment to prohibit slavery and indentured servitude in the state constitution. The 2022 amendments are the first ballot measures in 12 years to be referred to Vermont ballots. Between 1995 and 2021, there were two ballot measures on Vermont ballots. Both were approved.
We do have early/absenteeism voting.
We have paper ballots that we fill out and feed into the counter/machine. I have never used a voting machine and, actually, never have seen one in person.
Very rarely have I seen stickers at my polling place, even the generic “I voted”. They might of had them but I am always so intent on casting my ballot and getting out of there I don’t even pay attention.

I would love to see Reykjavik and never have so that would probably be my choice from the list.
But I absolutely loved Copenhagen. I thought there was so much to see and do there and in the surrounding area…so if I was making a recommendation to someone who haven’t been to any of the places listed, Copenhagen would be my choice.

I also wanted Ryan to win. They all did not do well with the questions and it seemed like no one could get any momentum going. I did enjoy the 2nd chance games and it will be interesting to see how the rest of the tournament goes.

Love your pictures. We are pretty much into stick season here so it is nice to see more color. It is my favorite time of year.

I am a no grid person. My house growing up and my now condo do not have them. So I really never had to think about them, but my new front door has grids (door dictated by condo association) and it does break up view IMO. If you use your windows to view the outside and not just to get light in, I say without.

St Patrick’s day is the 17th. I would choose New Year’s because you’ll almost always have the day off work Unless you're a nurse! I always have to find someone to switch with me but generally someone takes pity on me and I can have NYE and NYD off. I have worked Christmas Day (2nd shift) for the last 20 years. There are only 2 of us on my shift, we have worked it out so that one gets one day off and one gets the other. I have always taken Christmas Eve off because we do our extended family Christmas that night and I don’t have to be to work until 3:45pm on Christmas. So get the extended family celebration , get the birthday off, and get a bit of Christmas morning. It works out. 😄

Well my birthday is on Christmas Eve, and I am not a real big fan of it…so Christmas was off my list. 😉😄
I picked St Patrick's day. I would love to have a birthday where there was a bit of time between Christmas and it but 4th of July is too crazy with other celebrations.
St Patrick’s day seems perfect if I had to pick a holiday (which I would NOT) it can or can not be a big deal. And it is a fun holiday to incorporate into a birthday celebration if you want to combine.
ETA - I always wanted to take cupcakes to school on my birthday and could not and it is never easy to schedule a birthday party around that time so I have had very few. March seems okay for both.

I guess I don’t really follow anyone except Gesine Bullock Prado. She is Sandra Bullocks sister and has some beautiful baked creation pictures, and animals and scenery. I really like her. She doesn’t post a ton but it is always enjoyable.
I also usually check out Grace Potter, Jimmy Buffett, Kevin Bacon, Sosie Bacon, Kate Hudson, Jessica Seinfeld, Kelly Ripa, Valerie Bertinelli, Busy Phillips, Post Secrets and The Pioneer Woman. None of these people post much either.
Because they intrigue me, I also will look at Lisa Whelchel, Elsie Larsen, Ali Edwards, and Heidi Swapp when I think about it. There are others that I look at randomly including some friends.

I answered barely but can. I was a skier and spent my winter weekends and vacations on the slopes. Skating was just done at parties or as a quick friends outing, so I never really practiced much.

I guess it depends on what your family likes to do. I would pick to stay in Vermont, probably in around the Burlington area (Essex, Colchester, South Burlington, Shelburne) but not in Burlington. Addison County would also be an option.
Decent school systems for the most part Decent Medical/hospital a lot of out door things to do (skiing, lakes, hiking, etc) 4 seasons Close enough to bigs cities and the Ocean for quick visits (Montreal, Boston, NYC, Maine, etc) not a ton of natural disasters to worry about
Some downfalls would be it can be considered expensive, not a lot of diversity, and smaller towns and no real city.

Sending all the good and please accept the offer thoughts I can. It was a long journey to this point, but then you really don’t mess around. 😄. I hope it goes through and you are soon settled in a place you love! Good luck. I can't afford to mess around, both time wise and monetarily! I have 3 cats, 2 are 16 1/2 years old, so nearing the end. They have been boarded so much this past few months, both in California and here in Oregon right now. I miss them! I want to buy somewhere and get them home to me. I had to book them until after the Thanksgiving holiday to insure they would have a place to stay instead of the week to week that I was hoping to do. She said they book up solid and if I didn't go ahead and reserve for over Thanksgiving, they wouldn't have an opening for them, so I did. Of course, I can go get them early, but there is no refund for doing so. And really, it would be good for me to get several things ready at the house, if I get it, before they come home. I just really miss having them with me. I do have my pup, which helps a lot. And price wise, the pods my things are in is costing $300 per month to store them. I need them here and unloaded so I can quit paying that fee. Plus staying in a hotel is expensive too! I just booked another one to stay in near the senior community in the hopes that I get the house there. I also have a small storage unit in McMinnville that I had to put the final things that the movers forgot to load on top of my car to bring here. I didn't want them sitting out in the rain so I got the smallest storage unit they offered and will be able to cancel that when I move into something. At least that is month to month, but you have to pay an entire month, so I'll be paying all of November unless I just put the stuff inside my car now that my kitties aren't in the back. And a small fee, but I got a PO box and all they offered was a 3-month box. That is the cheapest thing, but it is still an expense that I will be happy to end. So does it make sense that I put all of my energy looking online and with my realtor at everything available to buy?? I hope my comment was not taken in the wrong way…I am in awe of what you have accomplished. Truly. And it is a long journey to get things done, especially these day…says someone who was going to get new floors put in for the 10th year running! I really have to do it in the spring - fall because my stuff will have to go out on the porch to do it…and winter and snow are now coming. It is a lot of work and you are very good with making decisions. I very much respect people who can because I can not. I do under about the pets though - that would probably be the driving fracture I would need to be decisive! Anyway, it was my attempt at a wow good job and a joke make by a socially inept person, so I totally apologize if it didn’t come off that way. I am amazed by your determination, hope you get your house, can get your pets settled and get to relax and enjoy things for a bit. I have nothing but congratulations and good thought to send.

I would have absolutely done nothing other than continue my journey with my dog.
I think it was extremely rude and uncalled for her to even ask you to hurry it up. I think your response was perfect and, truthfully, more than what you were obligated to give her.
Truthfully I am a bit shocked that someone would think that it was okay to say anything. They could have brought their dogs inside if they were annoyed enough.
Keep giving your wonderful dog the slow walk that they need.

I am 58 and have mostly lived alone (much more than with someone else/others) since my mid 20s. I almost always have music or TV on, but that is me by nature and I would even if someone else was there. I also always have music on in the car.
I don’t think that it is because silence makes me uncomfortable, just that I like music. But it could be some deep seated fear of quiet . 🤷🏻♀️😄
The one thing I do not like is having an air conditioner in my bedroom. Luckily I am in the northeast and can get away with that. I also do not close my bedroom door at night, although I know that you are supposed to. I am a pretty light sleeper but I want to be able to hear what is going on downstairs and around me.

All of the above and I also do not think people are stupid but we sometimes don’t speak the same language😉😆
I often ask what, I think, are basic questions to users for some basic setup stuff. And I try to use verbiage that is user friendly for all…some of the answers I really don’t get. Hahaha. I am sorry you are having issues, I hope they can resolve it for you soon.

Servers/computers give off a tremendous amount of heat. When you have a room full of servers working you need to have intense and constant cooling systems in place or they will overheat and shut down. Maintaining a computer/server room is tricky business…between electrical and HVAC needs it is not as easy as just putting them in racks and plugging them in.
ETA - The humidity of a room is also an important factor.

Polls pitting Republicans against democrats on here is a waste of board space. It’s been obvious since the very first political post here that this place leans left so no matter what the question is the outcome is always going to be the same. IMO it has changed from the old board (when I first started reading) where the split was not as big but I think it leaned toward being more conservative. I think it has cycled and back then many of the prolific posters were right leaning. Ebb and flow like with most things in life…again just the opinion of a left leaning pea. 😄😄

I have read/visited every day from the beginning with the exception of the days/weeks I am/was on vacation with no WiFi and/or cell service. Up until this year I didn’t really have cell service at our camp so the last two weeks of September were pretty much internet free. I switched cell providers and have much better service so I can check in daily.
It use to be kind of an big and exciting thing to come back from my two weeks in September and check the board to see what had happened and if anything big (good, bad, happy, sad, drama and just regular stuff) had gone down.
I am very sporadic with posting still, though.

I think it is very nice. I think that I could live there, although if it was double the size it is it would be perfect.
I would probably have to have a storage unit. I would want a washer and dryer, and didn’t see that. I do think the setup works. My condo is only 980 sq ft, so small compared to others, but perfect for just me. I think the 300+ is a just a little too small for full time living but as a camp it would be easy.
I don’t think I would like 12 of them around a circle/horseshoe though. Spread out over the property would be better than all clumped together.
$750 for the association fee (and the purchase price of 150,000.00) seems high unless it includes the property taxes and some other big amenities. Although there are only 12 units to split the cost between so I guess it depends on what is included. Mine is only 200.00 a month for my condo and that seems high enough, although that is only for the very basics…we have no pool, tennis court, etc.

I came from the old Board. I was reading the CK board and the 2peas board, but never really posted. I actually didn’t even create an account on 2peas until I needed one to vote for “something”? Can’t remember what, maybe separating the political threads or the color?

I have a very hard time identifying intelligence, logical thinking, wisdom, etc with one’s occupational choice. I guess I am from a place where some of the most surprising people can be well read and considered intelligent. And I have seen a lot of professionals and white collar workers who are not. I have a middle of the road opinion of AOC. I agree with some of her opinions/policies and disagree with others. I think she is villainized by many Republicans but she has also done things that I just shake my head at and think how could you not seen that was a not well thought out move.
I also understand that Lauren Boebert was just mocking Biden with her I have two words tweet and not sure how others don’t see that when looking at the big picture/the reason behind why she posted that. However I do find it very hard to understand how anyone paying attention and actually listening/looking at what she is saying/tweeting can actually say you believe her intelligence and wisdom are greater than President Biden’s. I also have a hard time believing that people think she is more pro American and purported patriot than President Biden or democrats.
