I started a Persnickety Box sub when it debuted this spring. It's an app where you "swipe" (inspired by Tinder) 30 photos each month into your box. PP prints them in 4x4 size and you get a box in the mail which you can store them in if you wish. My question: I love the idea because I really like PP quality. However, in reality, 4x4 photos are not my preferred size and PP has no plans to change it up or offer other sizes. I really don't want to collect a set of small boxes - and photo albums are not geared for this size. They're fine for scrapping, but I also want a majority of those photos to put in albums. Has anyone else subbed? What are your thoughts or ideas on how to use them?

I'm eager to see Liz Tamanaha's DD items. I'm not drawn to any of Ali's sneaks so far. Too busy and too red and green. I'm a minimalist so it overwhelms me .

Yes to all these comments! I was just at my local scrappy flea market and some people had stuff priced at almost full retail. I only bought things that were under $5 and the owner of the store said most of the stuff that sold was under $5. Very good to know!

What is your main goal: make money or declutter? Mostly declutter - but the craft sale is an opportunity to see what sells and donate the rest.

In my experience, they always make things right and the quality is excellent. I hope you get your concerns resolved . I agree that the website is not the most user friendly.

I'll be selling my stash through a local craft store garage sale. I have many old 12x12 kits - some as far back as Label Tulip - that are completely intact. I also have a lot of the original SC PL kits. How would you price these?

Will “Goodbye” be next? Will we start to say farewell to days, months and seasons? Yes, way too much Hello... Maybe we'll get lucky and see Goodbye Hello soon. 😋

Yes - Expedit! That's what I have. If I remember correctly from years back, there's a slight difference in size?

Slightly off topic - but what were the Ikea units like this called prior to being redone and given the Kallax name??

I felt tear spring to my eyes when I logged in here today. It brings me joy to see that you're still here, still scrapping (or not!), still chatting, and sharing! After a really tough three years, it's good to feel that spark of interest again...and whether I scrap or not, this is a friendly and welcoming place. That's all...thank you!

This Monday marks the 10-week stretch until December! Yep, you heard me right: only 10 weeks to go and it'll be December already... If you plan on creating your December album as the month unfolds (best intentions, yadda yadda ), you may want to check in here every Monday to help you stay on course and be ready when it's time... 10 weeks to go:1. Corralling before carolling | Start digging for the stuff from your stash either as a jumpstart point or to complement what you've already ordered. If you haven't ordered new stuff yet, look at your Christmas hoard to figure out what inspires you and come up with a colour and/or design palette to complement with new purchases or, if you dare, go no spend for your December project this year! 2. Memory lane | Open your completed and not-quite-finished December albums from yore or flip through old Christmas season LOs to figure out what you love and how they can inspire you this year. Take out a sheet of paper and start writing down anything that can be useful: photo ideas to repeat, design elements, colours and finishes, things you wish you'd recorded but didn't so you can make up this year, etc. 3. Budget breakdown | With the current pandemic, many of us are being a little more mindful with how we spend our money. If you're on board with this, start figuring out what you still need to buy for your 2020 DD, how much it'll likely cost, how much you've already spent on it, etc. There's no need to be strict and precise here but rather to get a feel for the kind of budget you are comfortable spending on it this year. Don't forget about the cost of photo prints/photo paper + ink! thank you, I needed the reminder! I'm busy right now but I know that I'll be disappointed if nothing is ready come December.😊 Anyone else not spending money on DD this year? Me!!!!

When will KP's items be available? I'm on her newsletter list, but haven't received an email in many months.

I think you mean Story Kits. You just have to go to the current Story Kit page under the subscription tab. There's a link called upcoming themes--it's just above the orange thingy to validate subscriptiptions. Thank you so much! Now you know why I called myself a dullard... past couple of years have done a number on me

They are very average. Does anyone have a favorite DD kit or item that you just loved and it totally motivated you? I haven't felt that in at least 2 years. For me, I think it was the very first Paislee Press kit. Was that 2016? ETA: I look like a loon answering my own question. BAHA HAAAA!!! I find my conversations with myself are some of the best ones - I just hadn't tried it on a MB yet!! And to the original point: I haven't been inspired by one for at least three years

I did not buy a single thing this year. The kits seem very average to me. Yet I still find enjoyment in joining in the fun here and the fact that December Daily is an enduring thing!

I subscribed to SBTM for a long time but quit last fall. I've forgotten how to find the link to the list of upcoming themes. I searched her blog, but no luck. Does anyone have a link for the the dullard I've become?!?

Think I might need to do that. I have a few versions of 'best day ever' and other trite sayings that just make me roll my eyes. Those are the first ones I toss I'm too much of a literalist. We are realists, @zingermack!!

One page idea I like to include is to spend a day thinking about past Christmas's. Every year I include a story from when I was growing up that I wouldn't have documented otherwise. Some years I do my childhood, some years DH will jolt down a story from his. Last year DH wrote down about what his 'normal' Christmas looked like (going to his Grandmas, the kind of food they'd eat). Another year he wrote down about asking Santa for a particular truck and he didn't get it. But he did get a fishing pole and how that was when her started fishing and he still fishes now). Its a good way to have a 'filler' for those days that you don't have anything else. And neither of us have photos from our childhood, so its just journaling and maybe an embellishment. TFS - I love this idea!

Hi, mvavw - I'm not aware of any worrisome implications of the HR. The effect it has on giving false readings on Hgb A1C is just important to be aware of so that medical providers know to do actual blood glucose checks and not rely on the A1C. I hope this helps. (I've never treated a patient with HR, but I have worked in Family Medicine as a Midlevel Provider for 20 years.) Thank you, this helps a lot! She has a lot of issues going on and this was one I had put aside because the hemotologist didn't seem concerned, but then it just came up again bcs of her bloodwork. I just wanted to be sure that it doesn't have anything to do with her headaches and other issues. I feel like no one doctor has the big picture (even though I try to keep them all in the loop). Her allergist/immunologist is probably the best at putting it all together. Thanks again She’s lucky to have you for an advocate. Because it is unfortunately common for healthcare providers to educate people inadequately on the big picture. It would have taken the hematologist approximately 1-2 minutes to explain the answer to your question. And to have asked you if you have other questions related to the HR. After all, hematologists treat blood disorders - he should know the most about this condition of anyone involved. I’m sorry he was evasive/dismissive.

What do you wise and wonderful ladies predict for a Black Friday sale this year at SC?! I mean - most products would have to be at least 50% off for me to even consider! 2.5% off with a free scissor print but you have to pay shipping. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😭😭💦💦💦💦💦

Having not really paid any attention to SC for months and months now, I was shocked all over again today when I looked at the price for their Documenter sub. Even a full year sub is 25.99 per month??? There's no way that the value is anywhere close to that. I know this isn't news to anyone here - but WOW!!! Does anyone sub and find that it's worth it?

And CHEAP? (however, you WILL get billed for therapy !!) I think I'd rather have the products lol. 😂 🤣😂💦 See how helpful that was?

Hi maryboys I'd like to buy! I only want the kit without the album Yay I love when things like this happen My question is why make an Album with gold writing & only include silver accents? Strikes me as odd Oh hop2!!! Don't be so practical, sensible, logical, and expect anyone to have an answer over at AE/Inked
