That's very weird. Almost every set of stamp and die pockets from the checkoutstore are no longer on prime. You think something is up with them? I haven't looked enough to see if it's just the stamp and die pockets impacted or if their other offerings are this way, too. I just bought the 5 5/8x 7 3/8 100 pack this morning for $14.95 but the 50 pk is also back in stock. They must have just restocked. The only size I didn’t see were the 6.75 x 9.5 size that I use for xl stamp sets or trimmed down and taped for 6x6 stamps. Now I see they carry 6.25 x6.25 squares but I like a little more room for the hero arts cling background stamps.

The only goal I have is to go back to my original practice of saying to myself “ I know its a great sale price but do I really need it/have an immediate use for it” before buying. With a part time income I became rather carefree with my crafting spending especially as I branched into stamping then mixed media and now journals. I am glad my TM closed, Many weeks have gone by that I watched haul videos and said, nothing there that I must have, same for all the 50% coupons at the big box stores. I even shocked myself by browsing AX and deleting most of my cart at the end. So here’s to hoping this renewed willpower continues in the new year.

I might have just spent a bunch on AX. I’ll have to throw all those little packages in a box and wrap it up to tuck under the Christmas tree. Oh wow Santa was here!

Just added 2 silicone mats for crafting on. One is the fiskars mat the other is a larger 2’x3’ size. Dd and I often move to the dining room table to work where there is better light. A large heat resistant mat would be wonderful. Didn’t know they even made them this large.

I already have plans to claim a bit more territory for me, but DH doesn't know that yet. We won't tell. I hope you get the space you want.
I use modular storage cubes so every now and then I add another vertically or move my table a little bit further. He doesn't seem to notice that his computer ares is getting smaller and smaller. That's what he gets for insisting we flip the room so now our work areas are located in the smaller side of the room next to the bathroom.

Carpet is finally in! Today starts the slow moving of all my scrap storage and supplies back into the family room. I already have plans to claim a bit more territory for me, but DH doesn't know that yet. I hope to do some purging along the way. I only have a few days to work on it before I leave for WDW and then the Thanksgiving/Christmas madness begins. At least I will finally be able to find my craft supplies and access my holiday decorations, oh yeah and my washing machine.
Bummer is I had to back out of this morning's Mixed Media class at my library that I was looking forward to, but there are only so many hours in a day.

If I don't save text photos, instagram pics (I know lousy pics) or facebook pics my family shares then I wouldn't have anything more recent than 2010!

I put small things on my Amazon wishlist. I need new Big Shot plates, a tiny pair of scissors with curved tips and the alphanumeric die set from TH that looks like the label maker. thought that would be more useful than the WRMK punch board from TM since it can be punched anywhere rather than near the edge of the paper.

i will finally begin moving my scrapbook supplies back into the family room starting next weekend. I really need to consider purging. I have so much Christmas paper I could wrap presents with it all and not even make a dent in my stash!

Made some money today instead of spending it. I had a copier paper box full of books I bought at an estate sale and a library book sale over the summer. Most of them were pre 1900. I took them to a local antique dealer hoping to just recoup what I bought them for. To my surprise the dealer only bought half of the books and paid me triple what I bought them for.

MY TM IS CLOSING! They just found put yesterday that they will be closed by Christmas. It was a small store with great staff. I will really miss them. There are no stores closer than an hour away now. An hour? I'm sorry. 🙁 They do tend to close and open stores quite frequently, at least in my area. Maybe another might be forthcoming? Manager said not likely they will be opening in a neighboring town. Oh well, I needed to go on a freeze anyhow.

Saw a little girl about 8 collecting all the cameras she could find at Goodwill yesterday. Wish I would have asked her why she was buying them. Then I wondered why she wasn’t in school on a Tuesday.

My younger daughter has overcome paralyzing stage fright during auditions using CBD gummies. Last year at her region orchestra audition she was shaking too much to hold the bow properly. This year she played her best and was selected for the top orchestra, and based on her ranking, is likely to make the all state orchestra as well (assuming the CBD is as effective at those auditions). We are all thrilled - this has been a huge issue for her and we’ve spent a lot of time and money trying to address it up to now. I remember Dd said fellow students were using it for all-state chorus auditions. They had to consent to having their luggage searched before leaving for the competition or they couldn’t attend. It seems some were using it to calm nerves and claimed it improved their voices. DD won’t touch it when she has to sing and she made All-Eastern. Pot makes her dizzy and nauseous, but most of her friends use it before performances.

I don’t want to smoke anything, but I would be willing to try the edibles. It is legal here, I just haven’t gotten the nerve to try it. I’m probably the child of the 60’s who has never tried weed. Your not alone, never tried it, never interested.

Went to my first ever outdoor flea market. Beautiful day but not many there. I bought postcards, vintage christmas cards, order pads, bookkeeping student workbooks with lovely handwriting, 1950s magazines and some misc books for cheap. I like when it’s slow because vendors give good deals inorder to make a sale.one vendor was practically giving away an old farm ledger but the mildew was horrendous and the paper was unuseable. I even found 2 vintage Halloween cutout witches for my collection. Now to find time to work on my Halloween and Christmas art journals/glue books and use my goodies.

12x12 page protectors with the 4-6” pockets, they have been discontinued. i have hunted all over with no luck. Refills for the old PSB zippered binders that don’t cost $30+ on ebay. I modify page protectors or use Totally Tiffany brand but the original work the best. Basic Grey paper, any of it. JoAnns has some under the K&Co name. I saw them there last week. 😃 Thanks, I’ll have to go check it out.

I had an unadvertised yard sale and still made $97, which is good for not having any kids things or clothes. Next I am taking a box of antique books to a local antique dealer to see if she will buy any. I have way more than I can use for journals or my collection. Have to purge to make way for some new goodies.

Just being honest, I am always gracious and say thank you, I appreciate the thought and gesture, but I am not a fan of this type of stuff >>> trinkets, knick-knacky things, assorted homemade stuff, token gifts, generic food items, random colored items(blue candle-green mug- purple hand soap-orange candy dish, etc...) the majority of that kind of stuff gets tossed in the trash can as soon as I arrive home. I am very matchy matchy, and not going to use anything that doesn't match or that I deem to be a "sit on a shelf dust collector". I also won't eat anything homemade unless I know that the giver has a clean kitchen and is a frequent hand washer. I'm not ungrateful, just simply not going to use it. I would rather have a $5.00 gift card My favorite candy bar ($1.50) No generic chocolate please. A few packets of a name brand hot chocolate mix A baggie full of assorted mini chocolates (twix, hershey kisses, york peppermint patties, etc..) No generics. I second this. I have given candy treats in crafted treat boxes, they are getting little coffins filled with dem bones for Halloween. For last Christmas I made sets of 4 thank you cards for the staff to use when they received all those student gifts. The teacher got a set of 12. Each set was different, I placed them on the table and asked them to choose a set, then left the room. When I came back in it was fun to see who choose what. They loved them! It was generic and useful.

Has anyone shopped Facebook Marketplace? My area seems to have a lot of craft/SB/stampers purging right now with great prices. To bad it’s stuff I wouldn’t use. One person has a uhaul full if papercrafting stuff she is selling in lots then the rest goes to a community flea market on the weekend. Its about a 45min drive away. I’m trying to talk myself out of driving down to see if there is any Basic Grey paper. She won’t answer inquiries of that nature. She seems very overwhelmed with it all. Has anyone shopped here and gotten good deals?
I have! I got a rolling tote XXL bag for $40.00 and over the weekend while scrolling through it I found an ad for a "LAST DAY" garage sale. I spent $80.00 and probably scored $500.00 or more worth of product. I would happily post pics, but I'm not sure how to do it.
Awesome!

haha!! what goes around comes around, eh? Maybe I should have kept all my eyelash fibers, after all- they might eventually come back in style, too? (I hope not!!) ETA: who used Magic Mesh on their pages?? Or who remembers those Twistel wrapped-paper fiber things?? I never bought Magic Mesh, but I think I might have tried to use the drywall tape on my pages, lol. And I'm sure I have a couple pages that have the paper twine stuff on. I had to collect all the different foam stamps... And after all that collecting, I used the foam alphas with paint on exactly ONE layout!! I like to think I'm at least a *bit* more thoughtful about what I buy to use in my albums now, but I'm probably not, lol. I tried the magic mesh, drywall tape and twistel. I only used them a few times and tired of the look. Still have them in a drawer.

I know a lot of you will think I'm nuts but October Afternoon paper. Had to have them but have I used them? Nope. I have discovered cutesy isn't my style. Remember that circle cutter that you would have to use it on glass? Bought that one twice because the first time I failed with it and got rid of it. Bought it again because I thought it was user error. Nope, still sucked. Couldn’t get that darn circle cutter to work either, don’t feel bad. I also had the cutesy revelation only with doodlebug paper.

I haven’t exactly gone on a freeze but I have been reigning in my spending the past 2 months. I window shop the TM haul videos to decide if I really want some new items. Some weeks I don’t even go to the store! I cut way back on my AX shopping too. I haven’t even looked at the new paper line releases so I wouldn’t be tempted. Now I need to cut back on my thrifting.
I will take an hour or two every few months to thumb through my stash to keep what I have fresh in my mind. Sometimes it inspires me, other times it helps me purge small amounts from my stash. I keep a give away bag under my table at all times. I also keep a box to collect junk paper to use for test cuts or gluing on, etc. I can’t bear to toss it if it can be reused in some way. It seems wasteful.

I’ve used plastic notebook dividers but they are flimsy. The report covers are a bit too thick for my liking, worked ok for larger designs. I have both mylar and stencil blanks that I bought in the craft section of HL but I haven’t tried them yet. I do like the NB dividers for masks on my gel plate because they stay put nicely.

This week I only picked up some metallic acrylic paints, an insert for my travelers notebook and a package of page protectors. I was looking for the Halloween ephemera packs for the last month with no luck, only the paper came in.

I use Evernote for my stamps, and just use a pic or take a photo of the packaged stamp. Could you do the same by taking a photo of the back of the ephemera packet where they show the contents or lay the contents out and take a group pic. Evernote then allows you to attach tags to each note to use as the search function. I don’t catalog ephemera but entering each pack as a collection just seems easier.
