I still have my Christmas tree up because I got side tracked on working on my gluebook collages and fussy cutting. DH is messing around with the computers so no printing photos or working with my Cameo.

The glazes caught my eye and the embossing dabber. What I really want is the deckle cutter because i hate the old craft scissors and never got a good line with a tearing ruler. Guess I will be holding onto my gift certificate for Scrapbook.com until this is released in July.

Went yesterday and there was very little new in the crafty aisle. I picked up a multi pack of sheer ribbon, the BoBunny christmas ephemera pack that I had been waiting for and cute kitten ephemera pack. The paper pads were in a huge heap but there was nothing new.

It’s indoor flea market time. Picked up 22 late 1950’s Mademoiselle magazines for $10 in good condition. I also got a bundle of vintage workbasket booklets, post cards, letters, postage stamps, trade cards, receipt books, scalloped edge flashcards, children’s magazines circa 1960’s, matchbook covers featuring fashion, a book and more for a ridiculously low price. Can’t wait to sit down and go through my haul. I think I will return my foil quill and supplies to TM, I will get way more use and pleasure out of these goodies than I would the foil quill.

Thanks everyone, I think I will go with the Sidekick. I am hard on plates so being able to get cheap replacements is more important than the 1/2” extra cutting space to me. i really wanted the smaller machine to make cutting tiny items easier.

I found something at Harbor Freight! It can work either vertically or horizontally, and the magnet is super strong. Magnetic

I am considering buying a smaller die cutter and wondered if there are any differences between the sizzix sidekick and the evolution. I have found both for around $27 so I wondered if one cuts better than the other? Are replacement plates easy to find? Opinions please. I already have a big shot, just looking for something to keep handy on my desk for little pieces.

Does anyone know if this is the week TM DOESN’T get shipments? Per the TM employee, stores (at least in our area) did not get a shipment this week. That’s what I thought, thanks.

Yesterday I needed to recoop from the weekend so it was watching movies and playing with my craft supplies. I tested out some new stamps from AX then made some altered playing cards and worked on my gluebooks. Very relaxing especially since it was the only day all month that I had the house to myself! I can’t scrap until I finish moving the rest of my supplies back in the room, which won’t happen until the Christmas decorations come down next weekend.

Despite scrapping for nearly 20 years I have very few albums completed. Ive always jumped around only scrapping the pictures that spoke to me. My albums are a mishmash of completed pages along side of photo pages. Now I just focus on vacations, weddings and holidays since those are the pics everyone seems most interested in. I can save the others for later, I am not a big journaler so I don’t worry about remembering all the stories. Rather I will always remember how I felt when I look at those photos. That’s what I try to scrap.

I got 2 silicone mats, one XL to cover entire table top so DD and I can craft together on one table and not worry about burning the top. I also got new cutting plates and the TH label maker alpha die set, a pair of tiny curved tip scissors for fussy cutting. I bought myself lots of clear stamps, an Easypress 2 and some Dylusions spray inks.

I scanned my binder full of those paper piecing patterns that came free in scrapbook magazines. They are great to use with the Cameo. Its a tedious, boring job but I am much more likely to use them than if they were still sitting buried on my shelf.

I made paper pieced gift tags to dress up gifts I just mailed cross country. Hope to again make gift sets of thank you cards for the teachers I work with if I can get my gifts all wrapped by the weekend.

Ugh. Its December 7th and I have not scrapbooked a single things. I haven't printed DD photos yet. OR finished my 2Peas Christmas Cards. My desk is covered in crap (mail, wrapping paper and leftover holiday decor). I got the house clean and laundry done today so I am hoping to finish my cards and print DD photos tomorrow so I can work on DD next week. Don’t beat yourself up, I haven’t scrapped for 8 years! I got sidetracked with card making and mixed media. the chores will wait, go have fun!

I have bought lots of stamps over the last 2 years but I find my favorites are some very, very old wood mounted stamps I bought probably 15+ Years ago. They are just tiny ornament and baby themed stamps that I grab over and over to make gift tags. Oldies but goodies.

Hi, I have recently discovered a great solution to using unmounted stamps on my tim holtz plarform. Went to purpleoniondesigns.com. They have a 6”x6” and a 4”x6” piece of clear stamp. Stays very well on platform and stamps cling to it great. Looks like a piece of tack and peel but isn’t as tacky. Washes with soap and water. I leave it on my positioner and have been using it with my clear stamps too. Have had awesome results with all my stamping on Christmas cards this year. Had lots of older unmounted rubber ones I had about given up on, but now use with ease. Hope this helps. This is what I saw but thought it was tack’n peel! Thank you soooo much. I assume you use it on the rubber stamp side?

I decided to travel to the only TM still open near me and they had nothing new. No dies, no stamps, no G45... zilch. I inquired and was told everything was out. This store was suppose to start getting the shipments meant for my TM that is closing in addition to their regular orders. So was this one of the bi-annual weeks TM doesn’t get shipments?
On the up side I met a very nice card maker who creates and sells cards for charity. She and her friends donate supplies, time and earnings. I took her info so I could notify her of anyone destashing. Maybe she can pick up more discounted supplies to help their cause.

I didn't have any luck using it with vinyl. It would pop off too easily. I lucked into an extra TH positioner (vendor sent me the full size when I ordered the travel size and told me to keep it) so I put tack and peel on it permanently. I already had a full size one so now I have one plain and one with tack and peel. Plus the travel size one. I'm slightly ashamed to admit I also have a MISTI and a stampin up stamparatus with spare plates. 😂 I have both sizes of the TH one. Which side of the lid did you apply the Tack’n Peel to for it to work properly?

I have a number of wood mounted stamps that need to be removed and made into cling stamps. I am thinking of trying Tack’n Peel instead of ez mount. I read that it can be also be applied to a piece of cling film then used with a stamp platform too. Has anyone used this product, and have you used it with stamping platforms?

i think the junk journaler thats purging their stash was at it again. My smaller Goodwill had a basket of lace on those large plastic cards from the store, with a yard or more of 2 or 3 kinds of lace per card for $1-$2. I bought 4 cards. I should drag DD back there, she uses lace to trim period costumes.

Does anyone know just how many TM stores are being closed? The manager of the next closest TM told me she would be getting all the stock meant for my store that’s closing.
