Um, everything! Christmas, fall, halloween, boy, school, summer, camping, florals, Disney, Shimelle, all of it. But, as grammadee says, they are OPTIONS, which I love!

Does anyone know what the deal is with the class This Year’s Story? I only signed up for the first segment. I have no idea if that part has concluded or not. In my portal there’s a January and February boards, both have links to all the bobw videos on YouTube. I don’t know why I even gave the February I d listed, maybe everyone gets it bc it’s just the public videos posted? Does anyone have anything showing recently who paid for classes beyond the intro? I bought the full class, also prepared to wait for content. The forum only has threads for Jan and Feb, and the Feb posts were all put up on June 15. I have not received any emails for the class.

I had to excavate this from page 5!
I just used up a pack of SC Color Theory orange/yellow enamel dots! From 2014. Kinda sad, because they were great colors. But now they are in an album - even the “large” dots that are bigger than normal enamel dot packs!

Yeah, that CS could’ve been better! They at least could’ve given you a coupon to buy a new one if they felt it was too long since purchase to replace it (but GOOD CS would’ve replaced it anyway!).

I'm making some cards with this Paper Rose Studio Poinsettia Garden paper pad this week. It's very classy. That’s gorgeous! I don’t typically use much florals, but my exception to that is poinsettias at Christmas.

Well, the title of the thread is "All Things Heidi Swapp", so here is a photo of me and Heidi from 2004. She came out to Australia, and I attended a workshop she ran here in Melbourne. It's the only time I have ever done a workshop with a 'famous' scrapper. I was pregnant with my son at the time. I had completely forgotten about this photo, until I was going through some old photos to scan recently. I attended an expo/convention in 2003 where I took a workshop from Heidi, but I didn’t get a photo with her. ☹️ I was also pregnant at the time, which scored me a bag of chocolate “prize” in a different class at that convention!

1. Cocoa Vanilla Studios - their boy lines are the best! I love their other stuff too 2. Echo Park - everything is so usable for me 3. Elle’s Studio - love that the colors are fairly consistent, making mixing and matching easier. The journal “tags” each month are all very usable in my scrapping and PL, the stamps are great and hard to pass up, I LOVE the puffy stars and hearts, and she makes great embellishments 4. Pinkfresh Studios - their embellishments are great, and I love the collections designed by Geralyn Sy 5. Bella Blvd - cute, and also lots of great b sides.

I remember in the Disney show Jessie, her bellman friend mentioned that his mom turned his old bedroom into her scrapbook room. 😉

I really wish BB and DB would stop using epoxy for those embellishments - they are so cute and I have to remind myself that they will yellow and I won’t be happy. I just don't understand companies still using epoxy. I saw another brand had epoxy stuff too but I can't remember it at the moment. Why would you make something that is going to mess up your layout or card? Epoxy sucks. I can't wait for this line to come out. I have photos waiting to be scrapped. 49 & Market has epoxy baubles, and I’m so tempted by them too, but have held off due to the epoxy.

My singular scrappy goal this month is to work on (and hopefully finish) a camping vacation album. We go on another vacation next month, so I’d really like to get this one wrapped by then.
I also need to back up then delete a lot of phone photos, especially to free up phone storage space for the upcoming vacation’s photos/videos!

Thanks for posting! That’s a nice and usable set! I’m glad she explained the “don’t mess with kids” stamp, because I wasn’t picking up on that reference. 😂 I really like the written numbers, but wish it also included eleven, twelve, thir, and fif, to complete the 1-31 set.

I love this line! Most of our vacations are camping/lake/river, rather than the beach, so it’s nice to have some options, especially with a brighter color scheme instead of the typical rustic vibe.
I really wish BB and DB would stop using epoxy for those embellishments - they are so cute and I have to remind myself that they will yellow and I won’t be happy. But it’s hard to resist the cuteness!

I haven’t bought any SS since Traci Reed left and they hired the Crate Paper designer. They pretty much look like Crate Paper now (except for the Simple Vintage), and Crate Paper isn’t really my style. None of these collections look like CP. 😉 The Halloween one has that vibe/illustration style to me. We all see things and interpret them differently. I’m just disappointed that SS used to be my go-to, and now it rarely makes my want-to-buy list.

Nope. Not a fan. There are a few florals that are ok, but I generally avoid. Except for Christmas - I do like poinsettias in those collections, but still don’t go overboard. I also don’t really decorate with floral prints or patterns in my house either.
I appreciate that more companies are offering a separate floral pack, both for those who love them and can buy extras and for those who don’t and can avoid them while still enjoying the rest of the collection.

Stamps, washi, enamel dots, alpha stickers. I do use them on most LOs, but that causes me to justify buying an over abundance of them.
I also over-buy Disney supplies. Although I have four WDW trips to scrap, I have waaayyy more than I need to do so! I can’t resist. See also: Christmas.

I mix, I have no idea what the problem is with mixing. I don’t do enough inking to worry about it. Same. I mix. I do have a brush for each rainbow color, plus brown and black. I just rub on a paper towel to get most if the ink off before using a different pad. But, like lisacharlotte I don’t ink blend that much.

I rarely buy dies that are not ( in my opinion ) finished. If there’s not a valid reason for the dies to remain attached then the dies coming attached are not *finished* do not ask me to pay $20-$30-$40 for your unfinished product. If a small company like Cocoa& Reno can do it then the larger companies should really be doing it. It usually pisses me off enough that I don’t buy it. I’ll buy alphabets if they are attached because I don’t detach those. Or if there’s tiny pieces that could get lost and they aren’t attached in a bad place to leave them, then I’ll leave them. But more & more often now I just pass on buying what I consider an unfinished product. That said, you need a flush cutter tool and a file. ( and no matter how close I try to cut and how much I file there’s still a burr left ) Try to find heavy duty flush cutters, I’ve bought 3 all recommended on some craft video or other and they all ended up with nicks in the blades. I use these solely to cut dies. Hear, hear! I'm not sure that I've seen any dies that were not packaged together w/metal nubs or taped to their packaging. I'll have to check into Cocoa & Reno dies. Pinkfresh Studio’s dies are separated and have a thin magnetic sheet. Love them!

Lemons seem to be everywhere, and some other fruits. Paper tearing. I’m also seeing a lot of paper rolling, whether it’s the ends (one or both) or curling across a page to give dimension. Butterflies, while always around, seem to be making a bigger showing.
I think 49 & Market is beautiful and has been a refreshing choice and injection into the American Crafts dominated industry. But, it’s an interesting observation to me that the 49 & Market has such a digital scrapbooking vibe (no surprise since Katie Pertiet is a digi designer) from really the early 2010s digi styles, and paper scrappers who eschew digi are going nuts over it all, especially the paper versions of dimensional embellishments (clips, ribbons, buttons) and the pre-made pages (digi quick pages) that lack dimension. I do love the style, and it takes me back to when I was heavily (and exclusively) into digi.

I’m working to finish some LOs from recent virtual events by SCT and Pinkfresh, then I’m on to a vacation album, which I hope to finish before our vacation at the end of the summer. Photos are printed and products selected, so it will be a good start. That will be my June focus.

I’m gonna sign up for the Holiday event too! This will be my third time! I’m surprised to see that Mari Clarke will be doing cards at the paper crafting event. Yeah, I’m a little disappointed to have cards at the Papercrafting event given there is a separate card making event. I’d rather have another layout class.
