cmpeter Thank you for creating this post. My friends did the November event and raved about it. scrapcat , @doxiemom and scrappinheather I am also signed up for the Card event. I waited to open my box (which was easy as my box was one of the last 21 delivered and arrived Monday) and plan to spend the weekend doing the prep. My name on FB is Tracy Cannon, we should connect! I am extremely thankful to participate this next weekend with three of my crafty friends, and we will get to be together in person! I am also signed up for the April event. And yes, to repeat what was posted earlier, they were pulling people off the wait list last week, so if tempted sign up on the waitlist.

Yes, I live in Broomfield. The main circle part landed 4 blocks away. I was not at home at the time the debris fell, but 2 hours later it was difficult to get to my house with all the road closures.

I was very tempted, but after reading Amazon reviews, it does not seem like a good purchase. I did a little research and found this on Amazon. Mine arrived yesterday and the lasers were actually square! Level

Bella Blvd’s She Loves Color event was a great weekend. I was able to attend the first one in 2016 and met some of the sweetest ladies at my table. In person you were assigned a ‘tribe’ or ballroom and found your own seat at a 5 person round table. You stayed at the same table and the workshop leaders would rotate into your space. All the instructors Stacey Julian, Amy Tangerine, Vicki Boutin and Cynthia Sandoval to name a few were so kind and engaging in person. I actually attended in person for three years. While I missed my scrappy friends in person, I stopped attending because even though you knew next years instructors you did not ‘now the actual projects/layouts until close to the event and you were all paid up. And for me, the cost of the event, airplane tickets, hotel stay and all my meals was too much, about $1000 to $1200 for the weekend.

My LSS (still 1.5 hours away from me) is doing a Crop in a Box since they can't have it in person. You order a Crop in a Box-it comes with a door prize just like if you were there in person, a FB group will be set up, there will be a few challenges throughout the day, and chances to win more prizes! Sounds fun to me! I will also be here if I can and the crop at SG if I can! Is it possible you are referring to the 3 Craft Chicks Crop in a Box? I live in Colorado and am very excited to be able to ‘attend’ this event!

tlc59 I took photographs at hourly intervals for a day in the life style page for my PL, but I haven't used them yet. If I'm honest, I'm a little tired of focusing on the Covid19 stuff..."real" life is still happening, I'm still busy doing what I do and because we don't have children at home to educate, on sunny days like it was today, our life is pretty nice. Yes, I am anxious about family and friends - but I don't really want to dwell on that - and yes, I'm anxious about the PPE supplies and the death rates and the effects on the economics of the world, but I don't really want to dwell on that either. I maintain the "another week of quarantine" style index page in my PL, I count the days (today is #36 for us) and include the occasional newspaper front page if it's worth recording, but otherwise, it's Spring flowers, what I'm cooking/reading/eating/watching/doing. And like scrapcat I screenshot zoom conversations and online stuff that make today different from yesterday. Maybe I'll used them sometime, or maybe they'll just stay in my photo folders forever. Sorry, that began on such a positive note and ended quite the reverse. Not my intention!! My apologies x I totally get it. I live my everyday in ‘Pollyanna’ mind set. I too do not want to focus on it, but I also know that I will want to document.

I appreciate all these posts, ideas and freebies. I am wondering if you would share how you plan to document this time. Are you creating layouts, TN, planner spreads, etc? I was thinking about Day In The Life, but maybe more like This is my Virus Life?

ok,,I just mean that for some reason..I am starting to wonder why I go to crops...I have a perfect crafting room,,,every little thing I could ever want...prime tv...movies galore..nice temperature...comfy bed to sleep in when I am tired...endless snacks...quiet when I want it...great chair to sit for endless hours......can invite friends when I want the friendship factor....I can even drink!!..
The reason I am posting is I just came from an all inclusive retreat for projects,,,nice hotel,,and a good group of gals..was expensive but hey...I didnt have to haul everything under the sun to the event...easy peasy...
so now I cant think of a good reason to attend no frills crop...omg..I guess I have become a dreaded "crop snob"!!
anyone else out there feel like they are one too?
lcomfy, do you mind sharing what the all inclusive retreat for projects was?

OP has just been updated with all the latest 2019 Christmas (and one winter) collections that I managed to find. The big ones missing from the current sneaks are Crate Paper (currently promoting Maggie Holmes' upcoming Heritage line) and stevenduncandesigner 's Christmas line for Carta Bella (assuming he has one again this year - he had already mentioned earlier this year on the board that he was designing a Christmas line for 2020). The muted classic colour scheme is the definite stand-out when scrolling through all the lines. I hope compiling them will help some make up their mind or just enjoy the big picture in terms of the overall 2019 Christmas scrap offer. sleepingbooty I agree about waiting for Crate Paper and Steven Duncan. I am also eagerly anticipating the new Christmas line from Doodlebug!

You will LOVE it! I think this year they added or saved 20 extra spots to raffle off later. After it sold so fast last year they had a few negative comments on the facebook post. And I think this year they made the sign up process much faster by not having to enter the name of everyone you were registering for. I ended up doing a vlog while I was there and shared my thoughts on it when I got home. I actually watch your videos and your vlogs from the event were very helpful! Also, SG @rush2scrap did an AMAZING job posting details and photos and all the tips about how to register and how to get on the waitlist for the last 20 raffled spots.

Tracie posted about a week ago saying they were opening it up to non subscribers. They had 11 out of 60 spots still available. This is hilarious considering Scrapbook Generation's (the ORIGINAL SG) crop for 300 people sold out in 3 minutes, and Tracie can't even get 60 to commit to hers. I think people have figured her out. scrappysue222, thanks for bringing Scrapbook Generation into the discussion!

I think traditional scrapbooking is alive and well. When we can sell out a 300-spot weekend luxury crop in 12 minutes, and draw people from 32 states and four countries, it says a lot about the popularity of our hobby, in my opinion. While we are not at the peak like we once were, there are still many, many people who are diehards. Some are like those of you here, who know all the brands and all the inside info. Others are like my scrapbooking buddies from my hometown, who couldn’t tell you a brand name if they had to. They just like to scrapbook! I completely agree!

I loved the products I purchased from FJ's moving sale earlier this year and filled my car with 15 products for a total of $20... and they wanted almost $10 for shipping. I didn't order any 12x12 paper, all small embellishments (alphas, die cuts, stickers). Nope. I didn't place the order. I hate it when shipping charges equal half of what I ordered. That’s one thing about felicity Jane. They ship almost everything in pizza boxes, even if no 12x12 paper is ordered, so shipping is usually on the higher side. Me too! I actually had $52 in my cart and thought I do not want to spend $14 more for shipping! Emptied my cart 🤨

I remain a true 12x12 scrapbooker. I still put my pages into Creative Memories albums! I do like a 6x8 pocket page album to document my December. I truly enjoy scrapbooking and am hoping to get into @scrapbook Generations Crop Event in September 2019 so I can scrapbook and crop the entire weekend!

This was my third year attending. Always enjoy time in Milwaukee in October. Two days of 6 classes, this year Stephanie of Bella Blvd created 12 one page layouts, she taught 6 layouts each day. Julie Johnson created a wood album, Vicki Boutin showed us how to be artistic with her foundation paper, stencils and art crayons. Cynthea from Doodlebug Design created a travelers notebook for us to make and Amber Crowell of Simple Stories created a 6x8 album using the I Am collection. Every class had an abundance of product in each kit. There were giveaways and extra goodies in each class. There is an on-site store. On Thursday there is a Designer Day with a la cart classes. I really like the event and all the instructors every year are kind and gracious. You are assigned a class room space and stay in your spot as the instructors move around. If you want to see pictures follow the hashtag #shelovescolor2018.
