oh my God thank you. I just bought a new Mac laptop and I really didn’t want to have to pay per year. Full disclosure. Yes my Word, Excel and Powerpoint work perfectly but when I use it I do get a banner message that says something to the effect of this version is no longer supported. If that bothered me, I'd have to buy to the "new" version which appears to be 3 years old already and pay the $149. It does not bother me that it's outdated but I wanted to make sure you know that before you buy it. At some point you will get the same message.

It does take a little practice too. I had better luck with brushes vs sponge daubers. I never had good luck with blending using the Tim Holtz in blending tools with the foam applicators. I always had marks. Using blending brushes CHANGED MY WORLD!

Correct me if I’m wrong. Not to be a nay sayer, however, aren’t we supposed to be focussing on buying made in America products rather than send our money overseas? I understand that both US and China have policies on purchasing back and forth. Except I’m really hearing a lot of buy “made in the USA”! Personally, I have difficulties with companies that steal/copy creative rights. I don't now that this is wrong or right. For me personally, I work hard for my money and I want it to go as far as possible. If buying "made in America" was reasonably priced, I would. But I refused to get screwed over.

I've never experienced something like this. My legit fraud charges have always been reversed.
If it happened last fall and not again since AND the credit card company researched it and they found it not to be fraud, I'm guessing there is more to the story than you've posted.

I bought a pair of sandals from Temu for $5. I have to say they were better than I was expecting but they probably won't last long. I buy craft stuff all the time from AliExpress. I've never had an issue with my credit card being compromised at either place.
Go for it.

If you know this person is chronically early and you didn't tell her NOT to be early because your kid has a lesson, then that's a YOU problem. In general, I wouldn't mind if someone was 10-15 minutes early. Anything earlier than that, they'd be sitting in my living room waiting or sitting on the toilet (closed lid ) chatting while I finish up getting ready.

I’m another one who has all the mats. I had been using sticky mats to hold my cardstock while ink blending but pulled out my Altenew low tack mat last week. I LOVE IT! Definitely get one.
I also work on a glass mat. I started out with the Tim Holtz glass mat which is mostly black but changed last year to a white glass mat. I am so happy I changed. It makes crafting for me so much easier. I love being able to tap off my blending brushes on the glass and seeing the color. I feel like it brightens up everything I do.

Am I the only one who would love for peanuttle to come back and give us an update on the chair? I mean I’m envisioning MIL got the chair home and then either gave it or threw it away soon after.

If you are into layering stamp sets or ink blending and like the light, medium & dark shades of a color I'd recommend Pink Fresh Studio or Altenew. I have their ink cubes and love their color families.
If you are mainly into stand alone colors & stamping, I'd recommend Gina K or Concord & 9th. I have the Gina K full size ink pads and love them. I have the Concord & 9th ink cubes and a couple full size pads too. Concord & 9th are foam pads but I really like the way they stamp. While neither of these companies have a true light/medium/dark color family, they do have colors that work together.

This is more like a letterpress event than a hot foiling one. Curious how a multi step and background plate would work with hot foiling. Some of the reverse foiling gets to shiny for my taste. At this point I'm a little disappointed there are no coordinating stencils with any of these classes. I'm going to wait for more info or sneaks. I really don't want to get a letterpress system and I feel that this event is more for that theme. Seriously...I really have no knowledge of press plates or foiling...I honestly just have a good memory when it comes to craft supplies Last month at Creativation, Spellbinders announced/demo'd their new multi-step press plates using templates so you could line up the individual dies to ink up in multiple colors. I originally saw it on Facebook but found this video. If you go to about the 17:08 mark you can see it being demo'd. There are templates on the magnet side where you line up pieces of the press plate image. ETA: Looks like they are already selling these things: spellbinderspaperarts.com/products/blooming-garden-press-plates-from-the-betterpress-place-press-registration-collection

I don't have a hot foil machine and know very little about it but I thought I read/heard somewhere that all the companies are moving away from "hot foil plates" and making "press" plates for 2 reasons, they foil better than "foil" plates and they are dual purpose so more bang for your buck. Also, I think you can foil with press plates but you cannot impress with foil plates.

Perfect Pearls gives sort of a metallic shine. You could stencil the the layer with dye ink, leaving the stencil in place wipe it clean, then go over it with Versamark. After that brush on some Perfect Pearls. There are various colors of Perfect Pearls so you can get the look you are going for.

I'd go by the signature not the name in the email address, so I'd use Pamela. For a business, IT created her email address, she created her signature. Sounds like she wants to be called Pamela to me.

Wow. That Spellbinders has a dedicated mail address for Amazon issues says a lot, doesn’t it? I'm wondering if this has more to do with accounting than sending defective products to be sold off Amazon. Even though the website does not state the betterpress machine, all other machines have a 1 year warranty. (I'm guessing the website just missed getting updated.) They probably need to know where it was sold to properly account for the cost of fixing or replacing a machine.

Edited to add: Considering that the size of the tall PF stamps is unique to them, as well as a pain to stamp with in a stamping tool, you'd think it would be a priority for PF to come up with a tool that works with them. Check out this video. I've tried it and it works.

I saw where someone froze lemon slices into ice cubes to add to their water. I kind of like this idea because I like adding lemon slices to my water, but not often enough to use a full lemon. Had anyone ever done this? I would definitely wash the lemon before slicing and freezing. I do this all the time. It works great! Couple tips. When you put the lemon slices in a ziplock bag, make sure they are freezer ziplock bags not thin sandwich bags. If you fill the bag full of slices, they will get stuck together but they can easily be broken apart. If you are not filling the bag completely, kind of spread them out flat in the bag. It makes it easier to break off a slice. You will get ice crystals forming on the lemons but honestly, it does not effect the taste.

I thought I read somewhere that selling a property in California makes it easier to remove someone trespassing or squatting because the new owner had no previous involvement with the squatter/trespasser. This was a way to get around all the hoops someone has to go thru to evict people.
I could be totally wrong but I swear I read this was the new way of doing things.

I love the Bearly Arts glue. It’s the best most consistent liquid glue I’ve ever used. I use the fine tip and I don’t have to squeeze hard. I purchased the rubber cap when I got my glue. I put that on while crafting when I’m not using my glue. I try to remember to “burp” the bottle when I’m done crafting but if I forget, I can just stick the pin thru the cap and get a good flow next time I use it.

The US has a tipping culture problem. THIS! I loathe tipping. It's the grift that just keeps on grifting.

Totally agree. ETA: Although Jenn McGuire said in a video the other day that April might be her favorite MMH kit ever, and she has made me buy many things......... This is exactly why I'm keeping an open mind about the kit. I'm really bummed she has not been doing videos on the MMH kits and instead seems to be doing videos on the Gina K kits.
