Its up and down out here. No cases in my area but everyone is trying to do the right thing by staying home. Two of my kids work p/t at the local grocery store which is good for them $$ wise as they are university students. I'm thankful that dh and I have or jobs and the ability to work from home if we choose. Struggling a bit with disappointment for my dd and her grade 12 classmates. Missing watching her play sports too.
On the flip side angry because my sil and brother chose to travel out of provience for Easter! What part of stay home can you not understand? If people would only listen! I'm predicting a spike in cases in 2 weeks because people chose to travel for Easter š

I am doing OK, not great. I have plenty of stuff to keep me busy.
Iām āteachingā from home. But that is a joke. My district has pretty much done everything for us. We are not allowed to do any live streaming at all. They have made a google slide deck for us each week with activities for the kids. They are confusing, cluttered, and the activities are very low level. And not engaging. Or fun for the kids. It is supposed to be less work for parents, but it is ALL on the parents. They have to read the slides to their kids and pretty much guide all of the activities. I could do such a better job. Itās what I do! But with a very few exceptions, we are not allowed to change anything. In the name of āequity.ā So really, Iām just providing feedback on the stupid activities that take the kids about 3 minutes each. And fielding parent questions and complaints, because they are understandably mad. I miss my kids and I miss my job. I feel like a low level customer service rep, not a teacher.
And I am having huge anxiety. I worry about running out of stuff, especially food. Mostly, I am worried about getting covid-19. I have asthma, and this is peak allergy time for me. So I am coughing a LOT. I just have a feeling that if I get it, I will end up in the hospital on a respirator. Which is one of my biggest fears. My dad died of ARDS and was on a respirator the last few weeks of his life and it was AWFUL. It is truly the stuff of nightmares for me. And if I do get it, I live alone. So I will have to take care of myself. I just donāt see how I can avoid getting it. I am socially isolating, but are we going to do this for a year or more until the vaccine comes out? Whatās going to happen in a month, or two when we go out again. Wonāt it just take one case to start this all over again? I donāt see an end game for thisāespecially with our current administration. I donāt think there is a plan. At all.
I also worry about my brother who has cancer. He worries, too.
The one bright spot is my puppy. I am so glad I got her. She is a great distraction.

JoP and lainey Hugs to you both. It's just too much at the moment. Normally I can do Good Friday but not this year. Every day feels like Good Friday at the moment, and Easter Sunday feels like many months away.

Yes, the fever broke yesterday at day 10, and my breathing is improving. Thank goodness! I hope I've had IT and can go back to work with immunity. We won't know because they aren't testing, but it was certainly a strange bug. Hope you're doing OK too? X

My opinion of a lot of people I know has changed for the worse. And I don't think I can patronize some (big and small) businesses anymore because of the way they're handling things.
But my opinion on one person has been elevated. One of my husband's friends, who I just knew wouldn't take things seriously is not only doing exactly that but being a literal role model within his family.
So not all disappointment. But enough disappointment to bring me down.

I know itās a terrible time for everyone, but my husband and I are enjoying the hell out of it. Heās working his regular hours from home. Iām doing zoom classes. We have plenty of everything. My husband and I enjoy each other and laugh a lot. Seriously, this is not bad for us.

TBH, we are enjoying the time together too. DH is doing his job from home, and I'm working on getting my online craft sales side-hustle going. We're set with grocery and prescription delivery. The cat is eating up the extra attention. We've figured out a little schedule. We feel like we're safely tucked away for the time being. It was dragging on a bit wasn't it and seems it was most likely IT wouldn't you think? We're fine thanks - so very grateful for the sunshine and warm temps we're having and for living in an area with lots of lovely riverside/country walks
