joblackford I love what you have done! I have been playing around with making my own album using the hidden hinge technique but your signatures are so much simpler and more my style I think.

I love your pages joblackford ! You inspire me so much. Aww, thank you, you're making me blush! Thanks for all the love. I packed the project up for the week, but I keep collecting fun photos: (there are 3 photos of this car parked outside today) http://instagram.com/p/CGiMY7eAR0d

Looking fabulous! I think it's still very much in the spirit of your pandemic journal, just a little less wordy and obviously filled with patterns. Still, the black and white theme suits this booklet so well. I love the contrast on the Falling Leaves especially. The spread about foggy days is pure magic (and has a flavour of NZ). I agree with Skellinton that the movie list idea is genius. Are some of these flicks a first-time watch for you this year? Yes, this is definitely my style, just stuck on patterned paper instead of plain white pages. I have almost no Halloween embellishments, so it's minimal by necessity. And I don't have so much to say, so that does make it a little easier. I have too much to say in the pandemic journal... sigh... Thanks for the love on the movie list. I wasn't sure how many movies I would actually get to, although the list is pushing me to make time for more. I looked at some internet checklists and they were either horrible scary movies or cute kids movies, so I realized I would have to make my own personalized list. And I didn't want to have a list with only 3 films checked off if I ran out of time to watch stuff this year. The only genuine first watch Halloween classic so far is Beetlejuice, which I think I'd seen bits of but not all the way through. Last night we watched Knives Out, which is a fall murder mystery, so that counts right? what a fun movie! We enjoyed it so much. I have a few to watch that I haven't seen since the 80s or 90s - ET, Hocus Pocus (which I hated at the time), and The Witches. There are a couple of animated films I haven't seen (Frankenweenie, Hotel Transylvania) but I'm not sure if I'll have time for them. I'm saving Coraline and Nightmare Before Christmas until Halloween weekend.

Last night we watched Knives Out, which is a fall murder mystery, Yes, it counts! We loved it so much we bought a digital copy.
A few questions, where did you get the black and white coffee cup die cut? Stamp image, digital image? The currently reading title, what is that from? That looks familiar! I want to add to my reading stash. I am quite envious that you live in the Pacific Northwest. Some of those photos are magical. When I see a bunch of trees, I get super excited. I live in the valley of Utah.

You are not the only one who doesn't have Snapchat. I think a lot of people just use it for the cool filters. I couldn't figure out how it worked as a social media thing. But my SIL used to entertain her son by letting him take endless selfies with all the filters. The coffee cup is a stamp by Honey Bee stamps, called Coffee Break. It seems to still be available, but lmk if you'd just like a few. I can get my ScanNCut to cut a sheet of them and pop some in an envelope for you. It's a pretty cool set. honeybeestamps.com/collections/stamps/products/coffee-break-4x6-stamp-setThe currently reading is one of Geralyn Sy's digital TN papers. creativebubble.bigcartel.com/product/quarantine-life-traveler-s-notebook-papers Yes, the PNW has trees in abundance! Utah probably looks like another world, I can hardly imagine. I haven't been there yet, but you guys have some pretty amazing landscapes. Just not a lot of trees, I guess... I would have a hard time with that. I try to enjoy the foggy October days and the parking lot fall color (it's almost all landscaper trees in parking lots - our forests are mostly evergreen) because I miss the sun and we have a lot of very grey short days ahead. Today was such a heavy overcast day, it was oppressive. It looked like it would rain all day, but never did. I was shocked by how much we enjoyed Knives Out! I don't remember my husband and I both having so much fun watching a movie in a long time. We knew nothing about it except that it had a great cast.

I use snapchat to verify that my young adult children are alive. Or at least someone with their face has their phone You see, even if they don't answer, snap chat logs when they open the pictures you send them. I know that someone with my kids face was on the app once a day. helpful with college kids & my worrying. It's not too intrusive but I've convinced myself that i can stop worrying when they've opened the picture.

I found an old (what I thought was a) spiderweb Hambly transparency to float a pic of my daughter dressed as a “spider witch”, and after finally sitting out how to arrange it I realize that maybe it’s *not* a spiderweb, but perhaps a shattered windshield effect? Lol. Oh well.

You can install the app and not add any contacts, just use the filters and save the snaps to your phone without posting them on the app if you're interested in some fun filters. Snapchat changes their offer frequently and has really good filter quality. In the US, you'll have a special Election Day filter as well which can be a fun way to document a stressful day in a few weeks.

A quick note on Sweet Autumn which I finally managed to get my grubby paws on and watch last night: it's good. Seal of approval. I enjoyed this. The first kiss isn't postponed until the final frame of the movie. You could tell the lead actors really enjoyed working together, particularly in the candy-making scene. Story was uncomplicated but I didn't mind the smooth sailing: 2020 has given me enough bumps and U-turns! Beautiful red, yellow and orange colour scheme carrying through the entire movie as well. And vintage motorcycles. And Vermont forests. Also, wardrobe dressed Andrew Walker well. Hallmark gets bonus points for bringing a little diversity to this one: quite a few Black people (adults and kids) in the background and supporting roles (interracial couple as the female lead's sister and BIL + sidekick of the male lead); the origin of maple syrup is explained and attached to the Iroquois. Kudos for the indigenous confederacy mention.

The first kiss isn't postponed until the final frame of the movie. Ah, but is it at the three-quarters point and followed by the reveal of a terrible betrayal? Because that's their other timeline for the kiss. There's only one Hallmark movie I can think of that actually has the first kiss earlier on, less than halfway through. I guess I'll have to sit down and watch Sweet Autumn and find out for myself. I do rather love fantasy-Vermont-fall.

All right, you know I had to post an actual Vermont fall picture. Oh, wow! So pretty. Very Hallmark-esque. All I need is some maple syrup and someone to bake me pancakes... When can I come? Ah, but is it at the three-quarters point and followed by the reveal of a terrible betrayal? Because that's their other timeline for the kiss. October 21 and we are now 10 days away from Halloween! The month is flying by. I found the Halloween candy at my local supermarket today, woohoo. They put it on the shelves two weeks before the big day. Very much non-American. I got a couple of the smaller bags (so much was packaged for groups of kids which really surprised me considering the pandemic). I also finally received the small bag I ordered to turn into my pandemic purse. Filled it up with the essentials and separated the "contaminated stuff" from the rest by using the different pouches. Oh, the joys of being an adult woman in 2020! "My bottle of hand sanitiser goes in the front zippered pouch, away from my phone, chapstick and extra masks!" Song of the day (because I've been playing this on repeat the past week):

I think everyone just wanted to get done with 2020 or have a chance of selling it with all the restrictions or both

Ha, anytime! For peak color aim for the first two weeks of October, maybe the last weekend of September. Speak French with us and I'll ply you with as many pancakes and maple syrup as you can eat!

I went over to the Hallmark website to see when it would be playing and dang, they're counting down the minutes to Christmas already! I could barely even find the fall schedule. Most of the movies they're playing are winter themed and I guess it's only 4 days until it's all Christmas all the time. But I might be able to catch Andrew tomorrow evening. He is one of my favorites...

It's red and orange Vermont trees and *BAM* one week later, inches of fresh snow and wooly mittens. Watch the whiplash! The change of seasons is brutal in Hallmark-land.

Kudos for the indigenous confederacy mention. Quoting your earlier post because I got to see the movie. I kept getting distracted so I almost missed the first kiss 10 minutes before secret/betrayal-kiss-time! Very early. I can usually set my watch by the kisses. Lol. Anyway, my ability to focus on TV is bad lately but I enjoyed some fall leaves and maple syrup appreciation. And as you said, an actual interracial couple, and about as many Black people as I believe there actually are IRL in Vermont (a few). I liked the badass motorbike theme, and you were right, actual chemistry. The final kiss was bordering on steamy! I don’t think I’ve actually watched a Hallmark movie all year. Just haven’t been in the right mood to focus. Thanks for recommending this one.
