And there's the release chronology law of France to consider, too (shouldn't be available for streaming less than 3 years after it's initial release in theatres). Ooof! That's a long time. Our local cinemas (Washington state) just got the OK to open as long as the county was at a certain phase level - I think they made a modification because other places like gyms lobbied for and got a modification of the phases too, and the rules are also reopening libraries. If everyone would keep their masks on I might be more OK with it, they're focused on reduced capacity and spacing, and tons of surface cleaning, but what percentage of the time do you think the average person (American) will be watching without sipping or munching with their mask off? And how many people will use the cover of darkness to flout the rules anyway? Sigh... nope. I'll continue to stream at home. I'm trying to decide if I love my local indie theater enough to pay $8 to watch a short film (One Small Step) that they don't acknowledge is actually a short, that I could see for free on one of my streaming services... I was going to rent months ago before it came to Netflix and before I knew it was $1 per minute. I think not. Although $8 is about what they charge for a small drink and popcorn, so maybe this is a good deal? Or I could just go buy a drink and popcorn from them. I went and took more fall leaf photos today, so I guess my Halloween book isn't finished. Also in a vacant shop window downtown: http://instagr.am/p/CG2cOQiA4k5

Took some photos of the finished spreads in my 4x4 album so far. Minimalism galore but I really love how it's turning out. Très me. Avalanche of pics: "Last figs, first coolness": Layered up WFH selfie (it was particularly cold at the start of the month with a tempest sweeping through): Saved the box my go-to autumn perfume came in for scrappy purposes: To the tune of 'Smelly Cat' : Tokimonsta's latest album was my jam this month: Those pink streaks in the autumn evening skies, aah: And I was betting on Anne Carson, tsk tsk tsk: Transporting me back to my carefree, pandemic-free young adult days *le sigh*: "On cemetery days, we wear pink.": Forever a seaside girl: Ghosties in my video game: Our president announces the curfew: Pre-ordered book I was really looking forward to finally released for some reading-in-bed fun: Screenshot of a discussion happening in the new Kelly Purkey thread to illustrate the American anxiety this month: Netflix & chills: Improvised picnic date (and it felt so good to be outside and away from people!): Turning yellow before my eyes: Dat kiss tho, joblackford : The new Nothing But Thieves album is out (and I love it, angsty guitar riffs and all):

Argh, so beautiful sleepingbooty! The minimalism! The photography - the sun through the fall leaves - my heart burst! I love it. Judgy cat is a great addition. Love the way the cemetery picture turned out divided across two pages. It's all gorgeous. I might want to become a crafty minimalist now.

sleepingbooty Thank you so much for sharing.. I caught myself wanting to "like" the individual pictures! What font are you using for the journaling? It's iconic looking. Edit: I think I saw you say it's Olympia Script in another thread.

Thanks for the love, hop2 joblackford ghislaine joblackford Come over to the dark (light?) side, we have... less. ghislaine Yes, you saw that correctly: it is the gorgeous Olympia Script that is just a scanned and cleaned up version of the actual font on the Olympia SM9 typewriter from the 1960s. I hope you noticed I posted the link to the original creator's free font download page!

PSA: Life Love Paper's newsletter of this very day has a Halloween freebie that is adorable. A print of a cute ghost wearing a mask that reads 'Boo'. Colour scheme is dark grey so the perfect neutral to add to any album.

Great to see everyone's pics and progress on their OD!!! Feeling a little sad today that Halloween is already just a few days away. Could be because we just got a blast of cold air these past few days and it's actually just barely feeling like fall/winter instead of neverending summer. I haven't been able to get much done on OD, as my days off are filled with activities with the kids and then this last day off I had a nice little stomach flu my DH and DS passes around!🙄 So I'm only on day 4 but have lots of photos and activities to scrap! One of the things we did go do was drive up and look at the beautiful fall colors at our nearby mountains, as we don't get to see it down here in the desert. It was gorgeous!!

Thanks for all the love, ladies! 'Tis the encouragement needed to try and finish it before November 1st. I'm going to work on finishing some of the missing pages today and print more journaling. Anyone else working on their October album/pages today? joblackford Did you find a solution to your full signature issue? Are you starting a new one after all? lostwithout2peas Ugh, I have such autumn envy right now. Those are some very pretty and dreamy trees. I bet you had a wonderful time out in nature.

I switched back to my other project (ugh, stupid pandemic and US politics) and I have delayed making a decision about the second booklet. I'm going to see whether I have more to say after Halloween day, and how many more pictures I want to print. I had an idea to use one of those Snap flipbooks after the chitchat in the DD thread, or maybe some other 6x8 album. Chop the pages in half and put them in a binder. Then I could add a few more pages without doubling the size of the current project. Or I could just get crafty and make it work. We'll seeee...

joblackford I don't envy your going back and forth between those projects, especially with the political tension in the US right now. I experience second-hand anxiety for you all from Europe. Can't imagine how tense it must feel, especially with the pandemic on top of it all. I'm back to finishing up some more spreads in my OD album. Almost ready for the final spread tomorrow! I added some sarcastic quotes from the @mytherapistsays IG account for one daily entry because what is 2020 if not the year for self-deprecating wit? "anyone else feel like halloween is unnecessary this year? i've been wearing a mask and eating candy fro 7 months now"

I took my son to his school today for the first time and we did safe trick or treating to a few classrooms. He got a bit overwhelmed at times, but did good overall. Once we were back at the classroom, he wouldn't leave! Anyway I'll have photos to scrap for my ongoing Halloween album.
He probably will go back next month. After seeing how well they are handling things with kids that have much more severe needs, it should be okay.

My album is almost done! I've caught up on all the missing days and just need to print today's photo + journaling. 🎃 Daylight is already fading here and I didn't manage to finish crafting in time to snap pics of the final spreads but I'll do it tomorrow and share them in here.
Oh my, what a fun project this has been! I wondered whether I'd manage to scrap it all before November and somehow managed it. Going small and minimal was a massive help, of course, but I'm still really happy with myself. Achievement unlocked. ✨
How is everyone's progress? Did you manage to get what you wanted to achieve this month done? Are you scrapping October in November? Are you feeling fatigued? Energised?

We got one at the end in the classroom. I was too worried about him running away. He's very good at looking like the most calm person in the world and then BAM! He's out the front doors of the school. I'm going to check the school Facebook page. There might be more there.

I'm watching the Making of The Nightmare Before Christmas, which I don't think I've played on the DVD before. (I listened to the first half of the movie while I was crafting this morning and then watched the second half when I was done this afternoon.) The work that went into the film is mindblowing! Especially with the old tech they were using. I didn't work on my OD today. I was working on my other horror story, virus diaries. I'm almost caught up with the stories I want to tell, up to today, so I can switch over to October stuff tomorrow. I want to include some Day of the Dead inspired pages, which will help fill out the 2nd booklet. I think it's going to work! I bookended my month with another pumpkin cream cold brew and fall leaf walk in the neighborhood. I had done the same on Oct 1, except it was very foggy that morning. Today was sunny and beautiful. http://instagram.com/p/CHBrtbagO1e

joblackford That is a really pretty photo! I took my last OD photo yesterday - of my empty Halloween candy bowl. I'll tell the story of not buying candy this year. Stupid COVID.
