I really enjoyed the Oct Cardmaking class, but I think I will skip the next one. I hope it's not a mistake but I have so many stamps/dies I need to use first. I can't justify getting more goodies. I loved that it was virtual because I have a toddler now and there is no way for me to take classes or travel for events like this! I'm curious about the crafting events. Hope to see some unboxings here! I have so many old Studio Calico kits (from 5-10 years ago) that I feel I need to use up first! But new products are so much more fun

So to answer the question I posed in the thread topic: YES they are worth the price!
(and yes, I've signed up for the Spring card making event!)

I signed up for both Spring events. I haven't done the scrapbooking event before so I'm excited to try something new, plus I like the classes offered.

Well I caved and signed up for the March 2022 card event! My FOMO got the best of me. 😁

I’ve loved both of their cardmaking events so far so definitely signed up for the third one.

I signed up for both events this time. It's all the peas fault that I'm doing the card one too.

I signed up for both events, too, but in my case the Card event will be the new one for me. I am a card-making newbie, so hopefully this event will broaden my skill set. And the scrapbooking event is over National Scrapbooking Day, so that was a no-brainer for me

I'll be participating in the Nov 5-7 papercrafting weekend and so far the $250 paid seems very reasonable. There was a ton of goodies in that box!
I am also attending another papercrafting event soon that will be $450 for the weekend. I'm going to compare the two, but I'm going to guess the Crop and Create weekend is a much better value! AND I can do it at home which is a major plus.
I did just register for the spring Crop & Create based on the box I received for November.

So to answer the question I posed in the thread topic: YES they are worth the price! (and yes, I've signed up for the Spring card making event!) After the "rip it OPEN" on facetime with justjac, I have to agree that there is a LOT in that box, and separately it would cost more. And that is without having it all coordinated and sorted for you, and instructions in print and on line....
But I just can't spend that kind of money on myself this time of the year when I am frantically searching for Christmas gifts for everyone, so I won't be signing up for the spring events, no matter how tempting they are.

I alleviate that by buying 1 present a month through the year. That way I am less stressed and it helps a lot with my budget!

I signed up for the paper crafting one. Although I loved the card event in October, I’d rather spend my money on other things. Shipping will be extra for both, they are not shipping anything together.

You just need a December birthday to justify it Truthfully, I would never be able to attend a real-life one of these - the travel/hotel costs plus event costs would hold me back. So it's nice to be able to splurge on this. I did keep myself to only 1 of the spring events. The bill for these current fall ones was too much of an "ouch"!

In 2022 when it’s closer to the event, if your budget allows it you can ask to be put on the waiting list. A lot of waitlisted people got in really close to the October one. I remember one person was shocked that she got her box in time; she assumed it would come afterwards.

From what I recall they opened up the waiting list probably 3 times in total. I got in in mid-August, about 6 weeks before, and I do remember a few people getting in just a couple of weeks before, like CardBoxer said. They wait until everyone has their box to make sure they don't have to resend any lost ones, and then they sell those - probably a half dozen more spots.

Are any #teampeek peas doing any prep work for the November weekend? I think I'm going to go through the kits and book this weekend and see what I can do in advance so I can play along during the videos. Plus that means I can get to fondle all the pretty paper and goodies.

Plus that means I can get to fondle all the pretty paper and goodies. I think I might do this, too. From the sneaks in the FB group, and the mix up with the paper line for the Victoria Calvin class, I suspect that some of the paper lines are not my jam, so I might sub in other papers from my stash. I don’t want to end up with projects that I won’t use because I don’t like the paper

I'm on the waitlist for the Nov 5-7 event, but did sign up for the 1 day Holiday event. I also signed up for the 2022 card event, but am thinking I really want to do the paper crafting one as well.
I anyone would like to send me pictures of the November box, I would love to see the goodies. It will probably help in my decision for the 2022 one.

I’ve really enjoyed reading everyone’s posts about these events. I’m signed up for both events in November. I received my box about a week ago. It’s very easy for me to not open it or peek into it all. I haven’t done anything crafty in months so my box is in my craft room with quite a few other packages from craft subscriptions that I don’t even open anymore. My hope is that participating in these events will get me back into crafting agin. I really hope I enjoy doing this because I have completely lost all of my crafty soul! It’s just gone! And just in case I have fun, I signed myself up for the non-card making event in the spring. I figure after the unboxing that’s coming up, I’m hoping I’ll get a sense of whether or not I’ll want to do this again or if I think I’ll have fun with it, my spot is secure. The cards I saw posted on here were really pretty. I’m not into card making but have to admit, I was kind of thinking about signing up for that one too in the spring. I know I need to decide quickly in case it fills up. I don’t do cards but it might be fun? Anyways, I’m looking forward to the experience.

I think this may just be the kickstart you need to get those creative juices flowing again! I've done a couple ScrapHappy online creative events and I am always super inspired to dig into my stash and make things after all the classes.

The cards I saw posted on here were really pretty. I’m not into card making but have to admit, I was kind of thinking about signing up for that one too in the spring. I was feeling the same way before the recent card event. It was hard to keep up with the classes as they were fast paced, but I didn't have to make any design choices, and didn't need "creative mojo" to produce beautiful things. That really helped turn my creative streak around. I am so glad I took it (and side effect, I'm making way more cards now!) I am curious about how I'll feel about this scrapbooking event. I'm pretty comfortable with my scrapbook style and process, so having other people's designs and product choices forced on me might not feel good? With the cards, it was perfect because I'm comfortable with the techniques (so I could almost keep up) but still very new in designing and what I like or use on cards is just being developed. I got so much MORE out of it than I expected. Not just cards.

I wasnt going to sign up for the March event, but my friend saw all of the goodies, samples, etc and wanted to sign up. So we did. Her DH is so awesome - he is already planning her studio space so we can watch on the 47" TV and order in all the meals

I just got the email that I made it to the Paper crafting event next weekend. Now to hope I get the box in time Make sure you get in the FB group and watch the unboxing tomorrow. Even if you dont have the box. They go through everything, talk about the classes, tell you if there are any errors in the book for cuts and homework.

Question on the unboxing and lives - they mention prizes. What sort of items do they give away and do they mail the prizes?
